Limited free street parking. They take credit card & cash Family owned nursery that will meet all your needs. They carry flowering plants, succulents, cover growth, trees, herbs, onions, peppers, lettuce, kale, sage, rosemary, zuccini, eggplant, etc. If they don't have what you're looking for in stock, they will order it for you. The plants look very well cared for & are reasonably priced. They also carry mulch, gromulch, topsoil, planters, pots, etc. I have asked the owner, Janet, very simple questions about gardening as I have no experience & she has answered them all patiently. The husband & wife owners have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to planting, gardening etc. They will provide advice & suggestions when requested. I would highly suggest customers to come here when looking for a local nursery.

a variety of succulents

Absolutely beautiful nursery with awesome prices. Came here for succulents and was not disappointed. Small ones $10, large ones $20. I went home with one of the sunburst aeoniums, but might go back for more before I fly back to NY! Wondering if they have any hoyas!!! Definitely recommend this nursery if you're in the area!

Echeverria

I needed a couple of plants for 2 empty pots in my backyard. I walked over just before they closed and found a great selection (agave, succulents and many others). The prices seemed very reasonable too. I'll be back again. This place is a great alternative to going into a Big Box retailer with hit or miss quality plants and lines.

Cute spot that I found to find a plant in honor of the loss of a pet. Great price and many options.

"Oh, Mickey…read more.. You're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!" Mickey Hargitay Plants is the coolest little big plant store, plant nursery, garden center and serene landscaping places I've ever seen. From the pure vibrant vibes to the incredible staff that make this gem thrive. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. That wave of calm, relaxation and vibrance that being around nature and all it's planty goodness lives here in abundance. Explore in person, place orders for pick up or even delivery. Mickey Hargitay has a rich history to match it's ambiance since it's birth in 1980, starting off with succulents, cacti and their own macrame designs Voted one of the best places to buy plants in 2015. Featured in the L.A. Times in 2016. Featured in Voyage LA in 2021. Not to mention a great spotlight in 2025. Founded and owned by Mickey Hartigay Jr. a fellow Sag and plant lover like myself. He and every single person here is a gem, I picked up on nothing but good energy even after the end of a long day and rainy weekend everyone here does their best to bring a slice of joy to each person. Ringing up my assortment right as they were closing they still didn't miss a beat. Hoping to stop in a lot more (scheduling pending) and get to know everyone, find more plants for the house as well as a new plant for my boyfriends place of even bring him in to explore. Pup friendly. Family friendly And very much open to all. Recently started following their Insta and I'm "obsessulated!" Easy parking in the neighborhood, street parking primarily or an easy stroll in closeby, riding the metro or parked off La Brea. Four new very healthy plants in various sizes for under $20... Insert all the heart eyes and plant emojis here!!

I have heard about this place from others but never checked it out until recently. I love plants…read moreand collect as a hobby. This was a 30 minute drive for me but that's nothing when it comes to enjoying a walk through some awesome plants. There isn't much parking and you have to find a spot on the street. Upon entering the property you are consumed with lush and rare greenery. I found many sought after plants and they were priced accordingly. There are many areas in their outdoor area as well as inside the greenhouse. Most plants have a price on the pot of on a tray if there are multiples. There is also a pottery shop although I didn't go in there. I could have easily left with a car full of plants but was able to exercise restraint and only left with a sweet Hoya Polyneura. Hope you enjoy my photos!

West Adams

Our home was in desperate need of landscaping after a major renovation. The grass had not been…read morewatered for over a year and the only signs of life were some jurassic looking weeds. Both our front and backyard were atrocious. After having dinner in West Adams, we noticed a landscaping office next door. We wanted to work with a local business that also worked with local nurseries and decided to get a quote with Green Grounds. They put me in touch with Guillermo, who I think is the boss. He came by and gave us a reasonable quote for the front yard and fencing around the back. I'd say it's definitely not the cheapest quote but i found it reasonable for the amount of work we were going to do. We weren't ready yet for the backyard but wanted to at least get the front done. We ended up getting a quote for: - dry scape front yard - fencing removal and replacement - plants - gravel - lighting - watering drip system - iron reinforced pavers for driveway It was a lot of work and on the hottest day of the year, their crew showed up with about 8 people to get work done quickly. We were shocked at just how quick things were! In addition, Guillermo did a great job communicating with us, suggesting certain plants and designs, etc. We met him at a local nursery to walk through and pick out plants. He is a walking plant encyclopedia. Show him a plant, he knows exactly what it is! He brought us samples of gravel and were able to choose right away what we wanted for our yard. In a short 5 days, our front yard was brand new and our jenky fence was a secure wooden fence with swinging gate to the backyard access. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the short amount of time it took them was extremely impressive. We really wanted them to return to do our backyard. Again, we got a quote - this time it was going to be more extensive - leveling the backyard - french drain to divert water away from structures - demo and removal of existing weeds and uglies - plants, trees, privacy hedges, gravel - artificial turf - pavers (with artificial turf in between pavers) - Watering drip system - lighting - decking update to accommodate for land removal - fencing update to accommodate for land removal - laying down brick in a small area This was definitely a lot of work. I initially wanted to see if we could get LA County to give us some rebate money but we did not qualify. this delayed us signing up and submitting our deposit for about a month. However, after finally committing to the project and submitting our $1K deposit, unfortunately by that time Green Grounds had a bunch of other projects. They weren't able to get to ours until 2 months later. it was a long wait but ultimately, it was absolutely worth it! Again, the crew came out - this time on the coldest day! 8-10 people for demo, excavation, pavers, plants, etc. It was a massive project and they completed it in 6 days! I am so happy with the result. I am also extremely impressed with Green Grounds - their work quality, ethic, and professionalism. At the end of it, they even cleaned up my front yard and made it look brand new again! Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a some professional landscaping.
