Chill place, noisy, TV's and lots of patrons. We started out with apps from the sushi bar. Not the best. Morning glory burger was great, fries were great, service was spectacular. Wonderful manager who assisted us with getting a particular game on TV. I ordered the chopped salad which was huge and delicious. Drink specials were creative and tasty but had little to no alcohol. I nursed mine for 30 minutes and the ice never melted. That tells you everything you need to know about the alcohol content. We will definitely be back but we won't be ordering any sushi or pricey specialty drinks. Minus the sushi, this would be a 5 star review.

A pretty solid place for comfort food and sushi items. Friendly, well trained staff - this is a busy, hopping vibe. We were a party of 5 which was easily accommodated. Our meals were varied and well prepared as you can see in the photos. No complaints here - just good food! Fun and festive atmosphere. Highly recommend!

As a former Kentucky resident, I look forward to visiting Drake's anytime I can. Their pretzel appetizer is my favorite, especially with that creamy cheese sauce. For lunch, my go-to recently was the California Cobb salad. The portions are good and the food is even better. Drake's is the perfect place to drop by for the big game, get drinks with friends, or celebrate with family. The service is always good. Love this place!

An upbeat ambiance great for families or a group of friends to come watch sports! The service was friendly but a bit scattered - the food took a bit and then they got my burger order wrong. They got it fixed very quickly but it was so fast it seemed they just scrapped everything and replaced the toppings. The burger was okay in quality but was so smashed and thin that the patty was crumbling apart. Maybe I just caught them on an off night, but not my favorite meal experience.

First time at this Drakes. We went for Lexington Burger Week. The burger was a fail --- burger well done to the point of overdone, cheese overmelted, accoutrements a mess, one end of bun rock hard. We shared tater tots. They were hot and crisp, but inedible, gaggingly salty, Nice patio. 62

Great service luckily we had the bartender as our waitress she was top notch seemed like others were standing around not really attentive. She action notch and very attentive. Overall great experience.

A classic in the area. Juicy burgers that leave no room for dessert. Fries are crisp and fresh. The sriracha wings are a great dry rub blend of spices and the ranch dressing is phenomenal. The environment is very sports bar and can be a little loud but don't let that deter you. The servers were very attentive and predicted all concerns and refills so we never even had to ask for anything. If you're looking for a good burger, Drake's should always be at the top of the list.

We were out in the open area (at a table where we were more comfortable) and the cross breeze was wonderful! We had the burger of the month (Philly burger) and both burgers were great. We visited for burger week 2019, and I still think Drake's has the best tasting burgers in town! During the Covid 19 era, Drake's is on top of their game. Upon arrival we were greeted by a hostess who took our temperature and then led us to our booth. In between the booths they have hung plexiglass to serve as a barrier. All of the staff and servers were wearing masks. We still enjoyed great food and great service! I am looking forward to a return trip.

    Mini Cheeseburgers

While out enjoying a weekend drive, Fat Man Reviews made its way to Drake's Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville, KY. Drake's is a small chain with 18 restaurants over 6 states. Drake's is open for lunch, dinner and late night eats. We started with the BLT Tots, a large order of tater tots covered in creamy ranch dressing, chopped bacon, shredded iceberg, Roma tomatoes, and scallions. The tater tots are out of a bag, but they were cooked and seasoned to perfection, with an excellent crunch. The ranch tasted homemade and was creamy and though maybe a tad salty. The bacon was cooked well and added a good bite. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. This is a large appetizer that could easily be a meal. My fiancé tried the Mini Cheeseburgers and a side salad. This comes with three minis, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard can be requested on the side. The burgers were cooked well done, and we're slightly dry, but the melted cheese helped that. The bun and veggies were fresh. The salad was a BLT salad covered and mixed in ranch. I decided to try the Buffalo Chicken Minis and fries. The dish is three chicken sandwiches with buffalo sauce on butter toasted buns, blue cheese(ranch is available) and lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side. The chicken was cooked well and gives you nice portions. I would not mind a bit more sauce on the sandwich. The blue cheese looked and tasted as if made in house. The buns again were fresh, and the fries, came from a bag, but were cooked well also. Drake's Brannon Crossing offers several sandwich and burger options. They also offer Aqua sushi, 20 beers on tap and a full bar. They have several TVs throughout the restaurant, so this is a great place to watch a game. The service was pretty good. The Fat Man says that Drake's is Fat Man Approved.

Still a 5 star. I'll preface this by saying I'm not a chicken tenders type of person. But..... They have the BEST chicken tenders I've ever had. Get ya some.

The ambiance is the perfect blend of modern sophistication and warm, cozy comfort--you really have to see (and feel) it for yourself. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Every server we encountered was polished, deeply knowledgeable about the menu, and full of spot-on recommendations. We were especially fortunate to have Richard--a manager of the restaurant personally greet us and set the tone for the evening. From the moment we walked in, his genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel like honored guests rather than just another table. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The Maui ribeye steak--marinated to perfection and cooked exactly as ordered--was tender, juicy, and bursting with that signature sweet-savory island flavor--was one of the best steaks any of us have ever had. Equally impressive was the ahi tuna salad: beautifully seared rare tuna slices over crisp greens, drizzled with just the right amount of citrus-soy vinaigrette, and finished with crunchy wontons and avocado. Light yet completely satisfying, it was the ideal contrast to the richness of the steak. Everything about the evening--the atmosphere, the impeccable service led by Richard, and the flawless execution of dishes like the Maui steak and ahi tuna salad--made our double celebration feel truly special. We left already planning our next visit. J. Alexander's didn't just meet expectations; it exceeded them in every possible way.

We have lots of particular requests (hot vinegar, grilled sourdough bread, half and half drinks), and she was always on top of our requests - and again, always had a smile on her face. The food was hot and delicious! I had the country fried turkey, and honestly, I may have enjoyed it more than the traditional steak or chicken! The cranberry sauce went with the turkey and gravy so well - reminiscent of Austrian schnitzel which is usually served with lingonberry jam. First, there are self service kiosks. At first I didn't like the idea, but it is pretty easy, and that allows you to remove the tip issue. So I'm giving that a plus. While my bun was still cold, as it must've been frozen and hadn't been heated long enough, I really think the Western BBQ & Bacon burger has potential. Good flavor on that one. You can pass on the chicken tenders. Expensive. Great Value frozen tender quality. Fries are as I remembered. Very thin and crisp. You either love them or you hate them but you know what you're getting going in. Now, going back to the self service, while I liked the ordering, there are other issues that maybe you wouldn't think of with this model. With everyone working behind the counter, anything beyond that area gets overlooked. The tables are not clean. The ketchup dispenser doesn't work. The paper towel dispenser in the restroom is broken, and the room itself needs a better cleaning. I say all that so that you know what to expect going in. It's self service but that extends beyond the kiosks. But I still liked the burger, even with the cold bun. And, if you shop at Sam's, you can get a $50 gift card for $37.50. That's good math. The sad part is that they can be better. They should be better. I'd love to give the place five stars. But even at three I'll probably come back. The employees just need a paradigm shift. I don't even think that they knowingly avoid the area beyond the counter. But they do, and that area is part of the overall experience. Simple fix.
