Chili's is a great, casual option for when you want to go out to eat but not spend too much and also not sacrificing the deliciousness of the food. I have really been into their popular triple dipper, which was delicious as always on my last visit. We were sat right away, the server as hostess were both very kind, fast and efficient. Even though they were busy, they still got my order right and warm. We tried some of their seasonal drinks, those were a hit too... almost everyone in the restaurant had one too (the wicked themed ones). We spent a reasonable amount of money, the atmosphere was chill. It could have been a bit cleaner but nothing crazy. Overall, I give it a 9/10. read more

If you're in the mood to wait forever for food while watching everyone around you get served and eat, and then be treated like an inconvenience for even mentioning it--this is the place for you. After waiting an absurd amount of time, we finally got our food... except by then we had to take it to go. And naturally, it was missing items we ordered. When we let the manager know, their response was: "What do you want me to do about it? My cooks are slow today." Seriously? Apparently, customer service is optional here, and accountability is just a suggestion. If you're into chaos dining and enjoy being shrugged off by management, go for it. Three of my friends and I went to this particular Chili's around 1145am today. It has been awhile since I have been to Chili's, especially on this side of town. While it is convenient to other shopping areas, like Wal-Mart, the Chili's needs a make over and possibly an update as well. The woman's bathroom had shorter toilets, the paint was chipping on the floor, and the first bathroom stall had a feminine section with no bottom and no brown bag in there. Seeing that they first just opened, I would have thought they would have taken care of basic necessities. Our waiter was Wes, and while he was new, he was very kind. He stated that he was new and still learning the ropes. At one point, he accidentally dropped a straw on the floor and proceeded to place it in his apron; and I happened to see it in his apron for the rest of our meal. Thankfully he didn't give it to our table or any other table that I noticed; but he also never threw it away. Also, we received a lunch menu with TWO different prices. One said Lunch Break $9 Combos and the other one said Lunch Break $8 Combos. We mentioned our concern to our waiter, Wes; and he said he didn't realize it but would be back with the answer. He never came back with a clarification until we each received our receipt and found out what we each owed. My friend Maria got a Double Cheeseburger without any tomatoes. While the burger came lopsided, the burger meat was great, the cheese was the best and the burger bun was a little wet. Overall tho, she would have it again. I got the lunch Chicken Fajitas with no tortillas. Originally I asked for no sour cream and no guacamole. But when I received my cheese and pico, sour cream was included on it. I immediately stated my dissatisfaction and I received a new condiment section without any sour cream. The chicken was overall very moist and tasted great with a little cheese and pico added to it. The black beans tasted amazing with the added cilantro; while the rice tasted extremely spicy and was packed with grease. If I got the chicken fajitas again, I definitely wouldn't order the rice with the fajitas. My friend Janet decided to get the Lunch portion of soup and salad. She got the potato soup, to which she stated that she'd never had pimentos in her potato soup; and that the pimentos and green onions added color to her creamy potato soup. She was thankful that they put the blue cheese dressing on the side that she added lightly to her fresh salad. She loved the extra chips and salsa she got, stated the chips were VERY addicting, very little salt and had a light crunch. She would definitely get it again. My friend Beth decided to get the 2 piece Shrimp Tacos with Southwest Chicken Soup. She said that it was a little spicy but had an overall really good taste. She originally wanted the Enchilada soup, to which the waiter stated they were completely out of, and it was 12p on a Friday. But she enjoyed her shrimp tacos. Said it was the perfect amount of food for lunch and the tasty shrimp was grilled well. She loved the fresh avocado on the shrimp tacos; and she enjoyed the fresh chips on the side, as it added a little variety. I would have given them 5 stars until I got my receipt! It was my granddaughter's 8th birthday! As we were finishing our meal they came to our table singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her and placed a piece of cake & ice cream in front of her; needless to say she was thrilled BUT you can imagine how shocked I was when I got my receipt and found I WAS CHARGED FOR THE CAKE!!! We stopped in for a late night dinner. We had great service from our waitress, but I don't remember her name. Started off with their chips and salsa. Delicious thin fresh cooked chips and a very flavorful salsa. I had the Brisket Quesadilla. They were very tasty. I can't give a fair assessment of the brisket because it has cheese and jalapeños included (as all quesadillas do) but they were very flavorful and I would definitely get them again. My wife had the Old Timer Burger with cheese. Came with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, mustard and cheddar cheese. The burger was very flavorful, but I would think it was prepared from frozen because the outer section of the burger was cooked to perfection while the center was medium rare as if it was still frozen in the middle while being prepared (which is why I gave 4 stars). Not a deal breaker, just an observation from how it was prepared. Fries were crispy and delicious. I saw a few desserts go by as we ate, but we were so full from the generous portions there was no room for dessert. But the people in the booth next to us devoured the Molten Chocolate Cake in no time flat! We will definitely visit again! read more

I took my grown son for lunch today. He had the quesadilla and I had the ribeye steak. I also had steamed broccoli and a side salad. My steak was a disaster. It was way over cooked which caused it to be tough. It had a lot of grizzle. It just wasn't good. I ended up not eating all of it. The salad was old and stale and the thousand island dressing was out of a jar. The service was not too good either. She never checked on us and didn't make suggestion. In order to post a review, a single star must be given; otherwise I can promise this Chili's would have been star-less on my behalf. Don't waste your time please. When every other restaurant in town is swamped and someone says, "want to try Chili's??" Say, "NO!" This makes two terrible experiences in a row for me. The first being two weeks ago. I sat in the bar area for lunch on a Saturday to find that the bar tender was the host, the server, and the bar tender for the entire restaurant. There were maybe 3 tables of patrons total and the bar tender was over it. He did not want to be working. His attitude reflected in our entire experience. Our meal was wrong. After informing the bar tender, he charged us for the correct meal and yet we received our jalapeño sausage after the meal was over. The check was wrong. We were charged for a pick two and a pick three meal. That was never resolved, despite me making an effort to tell the guy and waiting 20 minutes for him to fix it. Cash left for the meal. I was in shock of how many couples and families entered the restaurant to receive no service or be acknowledged and just turn around and walk right back out. It is 730 on a Saturday, and we've tried 3 other places that were packed with a long wait. "Want to try Chili's again?" Man, I should have said, "NO!" But I didn't. We sit at the bar. 7 minutes passes and the bar tender (a different one this time) addresses the two couples on either side of us whom had just received their food...... and then walks right on by. No acknowledgment. We waited 5 more minutes and now two bar tenders are present. Nothing. So strange. Needless to say, we left. Terrible back to back experiences sadly. read more

I dislike that I must edit a previous review in order to tell you how much I enjoyed today's Chili's meal. I wish Yelp allowed for multiple reviews of the same location by the same person, but alas, apparently the Yelp gods do not work that way. At any rate, hubby and I are still staying in as much as possible and ordering delivery. Today we chose Chili's at marketplace to make our dinner and Door Dash delivered it. I tried something new (to me anyway). I'm such a creature of habit but today, I ordered the chicken sandwich with the blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles. Hubby got the tried and true chicken fajitas. Both were excellent. I love love love blue cheese. And did I mention I love blue cheese. I had them hold the avocado but even so this chicken sandwich was so delicious. This is not your run of the mill chicken sandwich -- this one is worth writing about and so I am. First, let's start with the size of this thing! Whoa! Better be hungry. But no matter how big Portions are it doesn't mean much if the food is not good and this was delicious. Delicious enough I came back here to add this post script to a review I did about a year or so ago. I highly recommend Chili's for dinner tonight. Yum! Way to go Chili's! Doing it right even in a pandemic! Stopped in after a busy Monday at the office. Wasn't crowded. Seated immediately very pleasant waitress. Knowledgeable about the menu and helped me make good decisions. I got the triple dipper. Lots of food for your buck. You get to choose THREE smaller portions from a list and that was way more food than I needed but can you say, "can I have a take home box?" I chose the extra crispy chicken and had the honey chipotle sauce on the the side and thank goodness I did cause it was way too spicy for my personal palette. But chicken was so good. Crunchy crispy outside and tender juicy inside. Onion petals and two small burger sliders rounded out my three. Yum. Yum. And Yum. A hit on all three. I love chili's but the inconsistency from this location is disappointing. There was barely any chicken on the fajitas. The rice tasted weird. At least this time the peppers and onions were cooked, last time they were not. What really annoys me is how they barely fill the salsas for their to go orders, which you have to pay for each one you order, unlike in the restaurant. There's no reason they shouldn't be completely filled. Overall, disappointed and not worth what we paid. Not sure if the experience is better in person. read more

Wasn't too impressed this last time it's like a hit or miss. I normally order the chicken fajitas this time again food is cold the tortillas were so old that they were falling apart. I ordered my food online, it told me 10-20 minutes. When I arrived 25 minutes later my food was sitting in the back. After waiting around 5 more minutes for someone to come help me I was given my food. I asked if it was still warm and was told "oh yes" I stupidly didn't check it before I drove home. I ordered a steak medium and attached is the picture of how my steak was prepared. Not to mention it was ice cold. Very disappointed that a $15 meal was this ill prepared. Waiter sucks, food sucks and the staff unfriendly. Waited like 10-15 minutes to just order drinks: we came at 11:00 Am they had just opened and only ones in here. Shouldn't have taken that long. Then after getting our drinks and ordering we didn't get any refills. Waiter saw we had already paid for the food and apparently my tip wasn't enough and so she stopped coming to our table. I have not eaten at a Chili's in about 3 years because there are so many other options that I prefer to get good food. Plus, their food tends to be much too salty for my preference. The last two times that I ate at a Chili's, I had to send the steamed broccoli back because of the saltiness. Why would you put a gallon of salt on steamed broccoli? Anyway, the only reason that I ate here this time was because I was over-ruled by my 2 companions for my restaurant choice. I'd really like to give this experience 2 stars, but I think that the experience was a bit better than that. Entry & Seating When we entered the restaurant, we waited about 5 minutes before a host acknowledged our presence. When he finally arrived and offered to seat us, there was no apology for our wait. While this non-acknowledgement perturbed me, he did seat us very close to a TV and changed the station to the game that we wanted to see. Service Though, once we were seated, the service was very good. Our drink orders and food orders were taken promptly and both were served in a timely fashion. Plus, our waitperson checked on our satisfaction after our meals were served and she re-filled our drinks multiple times without our having to ask. Because I have not eaten at Chili's in a number of years, I do not know if they have nudged customers to pay at the table without any discussion from the server. This would be my only ding at the service. Once we finished our dessert, the server disappeared and we never interacted with her again. So, we were uncertain about paying at the table with the table-electronic-device or paying the server. Because the server disappeared for a long period of time after the dessert was served and we were not able to ask her the question, we were forced to pay at the table. Food I ordered the California Turkey Club sandwich, which has bacon, avocado, red onion, Swiss cheese, lettuce and cilantro-pesto mayo on grilled Wheat Texas toast. It comes with fries, but I substituted those for steamed broccoli in an attempt to make the dish more healthy. The size of the sandwich was large enough to be made into two meals. My only complaint was that the steamed broccoli (for both my mother and me) was way too salty. Once again, to ask the same question from three years ago...."why must they put a gallon of salt on steamed broccoli?" My mother ordered the Ancho Salmon, which is a seared chile-rubbed Atlantic salmon under a green, spicy citrus-chile sauce with cilantro and crumbled queso fresco. This salmon dish is served with Mexican rice and steamed broccoli. My husband ordered the Classic 3-combo Fajitas. This sizzling chicken, steak and shrimp dish is accompanied by a whole slew of things. Among the complements are chipotle butter, cilantro, bell peppers, onions, Mexican rice, sour cream, pico de gallo salsa, shredded cheese and flour tortillas. Believe me, this dish was flavorful (according to my husband) and large enough for multiple meals. For dessert, we shared the Molten Chocolate Cake. This warm, moist, chocolate-oozing, cake is topped with vanilla ice cream under a hard chocolate shell. This normally-yummy dessert was one of the main reasons that I used to eat at Chili's. This time, the dessert was not so yummy. Given this disappointing experience and previous experiences with the salty food, I am not inclined to return. One main reason that I may not return is because I suspect that they must have changed the recipe of the Molten Cake and the food is too salty. In our cake, the "lava" was solid and the cake did not have the same taste or texture as cakes in previous visits. When great desserts are changed for the worse, I am inclined not to waste my money trying them again. Overall, there was a lukewarm reception, disappointing food (mine, part of my mom's and the dessert) and good service (until the end). From this visit, I am reminded of the reasons that I have not made this Chain a priority eating place. The good stuff from this visit is not enough for me to seek out this establishment for a good dining experience. As with this visit, I probably will not return unless my dining choice is over-ruled. read more

I ordered from the 3 for $10 menu. I got the Caesar salad (not pictured), crispy chipotle honey chicken crispers, fries and upgraded to street corn. Everything was hot and our food came out quick. The waiter was very attentive and super friendly. The atmosphere of this location was calm and chill. Those. Crispy. Chipotle. Honey. Chicken. Crispers. My goodness. They were SO good! I'm a saucy person and usually I request extra sauce on the side to dip my food in, but I didn't need to do that! The crispers were super saucy and they weren't dry at all. I was a little afraid to try to street corn, but I wasn't disappointed. I even had a little butter to dip it in! I don't know why I've never tried or made street corn before. read more

This is one of two Lexington Chili's locations. I'd been to this location years ago, always at the choice of someone else in my party. Service was always bad, ruining the dining experience each time. Nothing has changed. Yesterday was one of the worst service experiences I've had in awhile. The food was ok, with a few mishaps that was the result of the bad waitress. My parents recently discovered the Chili's chain while they were in Florida. They fell for the 3 for $10 specials. That includes the pop (that's what we call soda in Lexington), an entree from the list, and a starter. The starters are super limited to a side salad, soup or chips and salsa. Keep in mind that the chips and salsa are free if you sign up for the rewards program. The banner outside indicated that the chips and dip are free on the first visit, but Dad insisted it was every time... if you're signed up for the rewards. The waitress confirmed what Dad learned in Florida, despite that not being exactly what's displayed. When we walked in, there was hostess who was dressed in plain clothes and holding up the side of the podium that really wasn't a hostess stand. She caught us off guard by announcing there was a 10 minute wait because of shift change. That was strange, especially because it was'nt the top of the hour. She mentioned that if we opted to sit in the bar area, there wouldn't be a wait. Strange from jump. My parents are retired, and don't mind to wait. She huffed at the fact that they didn't want to sit near the bar, and then she acted like a rebellious teenager stomping away to clear and clean a table. Not being in a hurry and trying to make the best of our time together, it was a comical experience. After waiting at the table for about 10 minutes, the waitress finally took our drink order. By that time, we were ready to place our food orders too. She was gracious about it and took our order. Instead of going to get our drinks or ringing in our order, she proceeded to take the order of another large party nearby. We shouldn't ran, but by this time, we were being entertained at how far fetched the experience was. Like, where is the hidden cameras? This had to be a set up. I'll skip ahead... our orders were brought out to us without our fries. After we finished the entrees, she asked how we were and for the SECOND time, we told her that we were all still waiting on our fries. My chicken tenders were tasty, but cold. We arrived and were told the wait would be 35 to 40 minutes which was fine we came at peak dinner time. At 40 minutes someone stuck their head out the door and asked if we'd been paged and I said no. They then took the people who just pulled up in and said they were taking them first then we were next. Over the next 20 minutes I watched several other people walk right in and be seated. So at the 60 minute mark I went inside and was rudely greeted by the woman who stuck her head out of the door. She said "what do you need?" And I replied I needed to be sat I've waited an hour and watched many others be seated. Then magically they had a table ready. I was very sad to learn today that the chicken tacos have been pulled from the menu. This was the only item that worked for me! They clearly have chicken, as it is offered as a fajita. We have always had great service here. The staff is friendly and playful (my husband & nephew like to joke around with the servers). The chips are light and crunchy without being oily. The menu is always being updated with new things while keeping the favorites. The kids menu is great with options (kids need this no doubt) and not over priced. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked (hate it when you need to borrow a square...haha). I like that they have alot of booths (a must with kids).
