This location went through a very rough patch 3-5 years ago and I stopped visiting entirely. Last couple of times I have been there for b-fast the service and food have been really good. Price is a tad high for what you get si ce it is equivalent to First Watch and Tack House in town and both do better b-fast food wise but man those Bob Evans biscuits are legit! read more

I like this restaurant and I've had good experiences at this location before but this time the staff ignored me when I entered the restaurant and when I left & was waiting to pay my bill. The men's restroom was hideous. The waste bin for paper towels was broken and sitting on the floor; the toilet paper dispenser was also broken with pieces strewn about the floor. My wife and I stop here every Sunday morning on our way to church. We get the same combination of foods each time. After we began eating at the establishment, one of the servers took it upon herself to alter our order, giving us the same portions in the same quantity, however, reduced or expenses, by more than 50% staff and management are very nice and welcoming. Hubby and I went "down on the farm" today. I used to think that Bob Evans was an "old people" restaurant but there's nothing old about good food. That's timeless. We have eaten here twice in the last month - once in a busy Saturday lunchtime and today during a more quiet Wednesday afternoon. We ordered the exact same two meals both times and both times, the food was delicious and service was great. Limited capacity, social distancing, hand sanitizer and other Covid-19 methods are in place here and it puts you at ease immediately. Staff is attentive but not hovering. Hubby says pot roast had great flavor, was very tender and there was an ample portion size. Big yes from him. And my fav salad was delicious. And my couple of special requests didn't both them at all. So-- young and old -- take a trip down on the farm -- it's a good choice when you're hungry! read more

I hate to leave a one star review but after my experience I can not leave more. So here is my story. My husband and I ate at Bob Evan's for the first time on 1st Jan 2024. My husband had the 3 meat breakfast and he was pleasaed. I however had the Country Fried Steak and yes it tasted good. However I got full and decided to take the remainder home for a snack for later. When I decided to warm up and eat the rest of the meal as planned, I got a chewy and then had the hunch to take a closer look at exactly what I was eating. And that is when everything went completely south. The country fried steak is described on the menu as tenderized beef steaks fried in a delicate batter. Well whatever I was eating was in a batter and was fried, the problem is what was inside the batter was something but it did not come anywhere near resembling steak meat. It looked like possibly dog food mixed with a bit of flour or something. I felt immediately disgusted and threw the remainder away. In closing I strongly suggest NOT eating Bob Evan's Country Fried steak dinner, (unless you are in to eating mystery meat stuff). Then we were in a hurry a few days later and stopped back in for a quick breakfast. All in all everything was fine, but the hash browns and the omelets seem to not be cooked with any seasoning whatsoever, not even one grain of salt and pepper to add to the flavors while the food is cooking. So I do not think we will be going back. Two strikes is enough for me. This is unfortunate because the waitresses were great. read more

Early Saturday morning breakfast with my daughter. Upon arrival we waited to be seated and given menus. We took them as old habits die hard. It wasn't until later I realized there is a QR code at every table. So why wasn't I given the option?? Our server was good. Helped us promptly. The menu is quite confusing. They need a grammar teacher to help with punctuation. Many meals have choices but they use of commas makes them hard to decipher your choices. As a result, my daughter got fruit and she expected home fries as well. They were two or the four choices in a string so no home fries for her. Great southern-style food. We love coming here for the breakfast and turkey dinners. You can't go wrong with either. The wait staff has always been nice at this location, too. So that's definitely a plus. My favorite breakfast is the Homestead. You get two eggs any style, a breakfast meat, home fries or hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. It's quite a lot of food, so you shouldn't leave hungry. Another good breakfast option are the blueberry crepes! With the turkey dinner, you get a nice helping of turkey slices on top of sage dressing, and two sides of your choice, and any bread that you want. They also give you a small cup of cranberry sauce. The turkey and dressing has turkey gravy on top (yum!). The only drawback is that the turkey isn't trimmed very well; you'll get some fatty pieces and skin but they remove easily with a table knife. Placed an order for takeout, and the order was repeated back correctly, yet when I picked up the order, all the side orders were missing - potatoes, gravy, etc. The order wasn't paid for over the phone, yet when they handed me the food, the just set it down and walked away. Had to wait another few minutes for someone to ask if I "needed anything". Then the register/cashier wouldn't transfer the amount due to the credit card terminal. Had to wait, once again, for the manager to come by and void the incorrect transaction. Very frustrating even during these COVID-19 times. read more

Well , what do you say about Bob Evans !! Ya know the food is really good . What makes a restaurant with good food bad? SERVICE!! The service here is horrible. We got seated very quickly. We had two waiters and one girl was LOST couldn't get her head on straight. She wasn't new ether , she has been there for awhile. The other waiter helping us was super nice but still couldn't get it right. My food was cold ,only got half of it at one time , then when I got the other half that part was cold. My wife didn't get all of her food , when we told them about it they brought back something else that wasn't even what we ordered. The same for my sister. It's not just once ether. If it was just one time , I wouldn't be giving such a bad review. This is every time we try to go to this location. The food this last time wasn't real good ether . Absolutely disgusting! Completely inedible, I wouldn't trust how clean the kitchen is, just based off the food. We ordered a family meal chicken fried steak dinner to go. Got home and saw they gave us old clumpy gravy that was in a small container, only half full for a family dinner of four chicken fried steaks and mashed potatoes. The potato container was half full and crusty old! There were three week old chicken fried steaks instead of four. The biscuits were old and hard. Talk about a chain that has excelled at reinventing itself. The menu and floor plan seem to be super fresh and contemporary. While a bit more pricy than some of the competitors (Waffle, Fishes, Denny's), let's be real, this place is real clean. I eat here once a year, not for any other reason than it's become a tradition to stop here before participating in the Wilmore Veterans Day parade (vets in Corvettes). Arrived at 7:30 am only to be greeted and seated immediately. Had coffee with breakfast and I could be wrong ....but I think they have improved their coffee. We have attempted to visit his father Evans twice in the past two weeks. On the first attempt there was no cars in the parking lot and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. They told us this was due to being understaffed. Therefore we went across the street to the Cracker Barrel. On our second attempt my husband ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were hard as a rock on the outside and inside. When he discuss this with the waitress he was told the biscuits were hard because they ran out of homemade biscuits and had to order other biscuits. And that they would not be making any more homemade biscuits until they ran out of the other ordered biscuits. The waitress was very nice and she did discount the breakfast. read more

Here in Lexington on vacation visiting family, and this place looks good for breakfast. I went out to get a curbside pick up from Bob Evans, got there and I called and let them know I was there. 10 min later, still waiting so I went inside to see what was happening. 4 people waiting for pick up orders and the girl that was packing the bags was taking, no joke, about 10 min per bag to get it packed. The food was already boxed and ready in baskets on the counter to be packed but she still took 10 min to get each bag ready. I literally stood there for 30 more minutes waiting for her to get to my food, which had been sitting on the counter the entire time. Unsurprisingly, food is ice cold. 0/10 for service. Food probably would have been good warm and fresh but I guess I'll never know. read more

House undergoing renovation. had NO kitchen for Thansgiving, but Bob Evans did take out. Son worked till 6 pm so I went to pick up meal. even drive from Lexington the food was warm and we sat on a air mattress in the empty kitchen and had one of the best Day of Thanks in years. Been going downhill for a number of years. When I arrived about 8 people were waiting to be seated. Nobody helping them and plenty of tables available. Finally someone shows up to seat. Confusion, slow. Finally I went to the bar and seated myself. Slow service. Server very rushed, seemed like they were seriously understaffed. Placed my order.VERY SLOW!! Did get coffee, slow to get a refill. Finally got my order. It had been sitting a while as I was able to see the kitchen place the orders for pick up. Eggs, over cooked, toast very undercooked. I ordered toast,, not bread. Overall food quality and prep were not up to their standards. Think I have had enough of this place. Wild Eggs, First Watch and Cracker Barrel all way better. read more

Went to eat dinner with some friends . When we got there, we had to wait for 10 minutes just to get a table. Turns out once we finally went back to a table, there were very few people even seated or had left that would have caused us to wait as long as we did. Then the server came. I ordered a water because I am pregnant. The water tasted like flowers. I ended up having to order a caffeinated beverage, which was below the minimum allowable levels of caffeine that I am allowed, but I never should have had to resort to this in the first place. Once our food came out, they did not bring any butter or syrup for my son's pancakes. When I asked them for this, they kind of got an attitude with me. Then the flatbread that came with the Everything Breakfast Dinner ($9.99) was terrible. I politely told the waitress this and she attempted to justify why the bread tasted so awful, insinuating that this was somehow my fault. I had a bad experience at Bob Evans when I was a kid, so it had been 20 years or so since I'd been in one. With this experience,I will never go back to a Bob Evens ever again. read more

The food has always been decent enough. I feel like it's better than your typically chain diner fare, though I really miss the Sausage Chili they used to have. My problem lies with the prices. It's a little ridiculous to me to pay over $10 for a Burger, fries, and soda. It's good, but those are prices charged by better burger joints. We used to visit this location regularly, then their service went downhill, so we started going to their competition directly across the road. We thought we'd give it another shot, by have been left wishing we hadn't. My kid got her piggy pancake meal and I got the pancakes and bacon. My bacon was so raw upon arrival that I didn't think it would be safe to eat. Sent it back. All of three minutes later the server returned with warmer but still half raw bacon. Both my bottom pancake and that of my kid tasted like cleaner...very much like pool water. I asked for a manager. I think her name was Martha, Marsha? She did offer my kid a fresh plate of fries and made concerned faces, but offered no replacement or bill adjustment to my meal. Carry out service sucks. Call # on sign - transferred to carry out rep. No one picks up. Inside- cashier acknowledges I'm here for carry out. But never makes a move to get it for me nor take payment. I can see it sitting on their back counter. Eventually She does verify which one is mine and says it's not been prepaid but doesn't take my payment - this goes on for 20 minutes. And She has other breaks between customers. Then she asks me to come to register to pay but tells me to get in line behind everyone else - which is a long line saying it wouldn't be fair to the others for me to jump line. I realize at this point my food isn't going to be worth eating so I tell her forget it. I guess she has a thing about me having to stand in front of the register to pay??? Even when she doesn't have anyone in line? Is she mad cause I didn't prepay online? I didn't prepay cause I've made that mistake before and ended up getting cold or messed up order before. Waited for service, waited for food. Didn't get bread and didn't get salads until AFTER the meal came. Oh, yes, ordered candied bacon for appetizer and NEVER got it.
