They were very prompt, explained the steps they were going to take to unclog the main drain. The technician gave me helpful advice for monthly maintenance that I could do as the homeowner. I will contact them again in the future if needed. read more

A big thank you to Larry and Madison for their outstanding customer service in response to our plumbing issue. Madison was highly effective in finding and resolving the issues. Excellent professional expertise at a very reasonable cost. read more

These guys came through in a pinch. I had a clogged drain affecting both my washer and garbage disposal and they offered Saturday morning service with 3 days notice. The communication leading up to the service appointment was excellent. The technician was on time and professional. He offered me three different services: a basic snake service for $379, a deep dive service for under $800 and their most advanced service for under $1000. I opted for the cheapest. He explained the procedure and showed me where the problem was, cleaned the drains, cleaned up whatever mess was made, and he was in and out in about 30 minutes. Highly recommended. read more

They are very reputable and reliable! I needed their services pretty fast and they were able To help me Out! read more

Our drain in the garage stopped draining and water from the snow on our car was standing on the garage floor. We called and they came over the same day. The gentleman who came over, Jacob, was very nice, professional and fixed our problem. We would definitely recommend and use them again. read more

For your average homeowner with a no experience with drain cleaners Drain Masters will be a pleasant experience, albeit expensive. I had a simple clog which I explained to the technician. They charged 39.00 to tell me I had a simple clog and then quoted 330.00 to clear it (and tried to up sell a camera inspection). The "rougher" drain guys in town charge 120-150/hour. If you are going to use drain guys often, as landlords do, find one of these guys (AK Rooter, Curry's, Arctic Sewer & Drain) or have you own snake handy. I do have a snake and went over that evening and cleared the drain myself in 15 minutes. Why didn't I go in the first place? For 120.00 was not worth my time to do it myself, for 330.00 it was. Again, too be fair, if you are a homeowner with a rare blockage Drain Masters is a good call. The receptionist was very friendly and the tech was very professional, just too pro for me :-) I would imagine you would be happy with their service. read more

Got to my place as soon as they could. Very professional plumber who gave me options and advice on what could be done. Great company!

I spoke to Olivia and Grace on the phone originally when I called and then to set up an appointment time. Both were very friendly and helpful. Jeffery was the technician that did our repairs, he is a very friendly guy and showed me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. Jeffery also informed me that the tank of the toilet was slightly cracked at the top quite a bit above the waterline. I appreciated his honestly about the location of it not being a serious problem but to consider getting it fixed. The repairs were quick and it was awesome getting pictures emailed to me of before and after. read more

Very friendly tech that came out. He didn't give up on snaking my drain and after 8 times he managed to finally burst through the solid wall of grease and grime 25' down my drain! Offered helpful tips for the future on maintenance as well. Very thankful they accommodate people who work and don't charge after hours fees during the week after 5pm :) read more

When I was young and poor, these guys came out and helped me ASAP on a weekend for a phenomenal cost.

Great customer service, great value, extremely professional. Definitely calling them next time I have plumbing issue.

My pipe upstairs backed up and water came up through the washing machine drain. What a mess! I called Drain Masters and they sent a technician out as soon possible. The technician came over evacuated the situation and promptly fixed the issue. They are very knowledgeable, clean, and fast. No wasted time. Thank you for your great service. read more

We had an issue with our toilet. We called Drain Masters and they sent Jeff right over to assess the situation, even though their scheduling was a week out. It ended up being a simple solution for him and he moved expeditiously to get our toilet back in service. One year later, I had another issue with the same system, they again, sent Jeff. They honored the warranty, no questions asked, and fixed the problem in minutes. I appreciate the promptness and communication by Olivia and Grace. I would definitely recommend Drain Masters. read more

Quick service, friendly and professional. Had a late afternoon emergency and they were able to help me! Very happy and would recommend to friends and family. Thanks! **Just wanted to add- I had my reservations about calling just anyone after hours being a single female and how this town is getting dangerous but don't be worried with these guys- The guy who fixed my drain was a professional and polite young man. read more

While I'm sure the company has had some success I'd say to avoid them if possible. I had a drain issue and they sent out a young and somewhat inexperienced guy. He was nice but clearly new to this work. He was on the phone (to his work?) a lot. Worked with the snake to unclog but had no luck. Believed the problem was severe but charged a fair bit of money anyway. They sent out another couple of guys (for free) who ran a camera into the hole and believed the entire pipe had collapsed despite not seeing it. Quoted me $3,700 to come in and tear out the old one. When I asked what the charge would be if they found that it wasn't that big of a problem they told me it was the fee regardless. Needless to say I called a different company and they fixed it for far less. Avoid!!!! read more

Always had terrific service - I've been using this company for almost a decade, and I get great results every time. I provide challenges as a customer, with a hair salon and an older building, but these guys truly care about service and results. read more

These guys/gals are flipping amazing, have used them before and they proved why they have a max rating tonight. Had a drain clog issue and called them up, was advised of an extra fee for the after hours call out and had no problem with it. I was advised that someone would be by in an hour and the gentleman called and said he could be here early and showed up thirty minutes earlier than planned -- totally badass. I had already pulled my toilet trying to clear the drain myself with no luck, the gentleman came up, looked at my drain, brought his power drain snake in and had the drain cleared in less than 10 minutes. Totally awesome, very polite, efficient and excellent service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs drain service, they are my go to place for all of my drain needs! read more

I have had nothing but outstanding experiences with them until I had a different plumbing service look at their work and they found shoddy work with pipes suspended by strings. We spent a lot of money previously on having repairs done last year that were not done correctly. One of our pipes had fallen off and was on the floor! I have no complaints about their service, people and quality until that! read more

My husband installed new toilets. My sink started to gurgle after. Called Drainmasters. They stated our drain pipe was "starving for air" and can be cleaned for $2,500 or cleaned and coated for $12,000. It's never been cleaned so we went with that. Drain continued to gurgle. They stated they didn't know that was the problem we were having. They said could be ice in the vent, they didn't even look in the vent. read more

I would have given them 6 stars. Steve came out on a Saturday and snaked the garage floor drain to the main line. He was prompt, professional, and friendly. I will totally recommend Drain Masters. Side note, Steve spoke very highly of his boss and employer. This also tells me that this company takes care of their people. I respect that. They've earned our future business. read more

Great service, at reasonable prices. I highly recommend them. Drain Masters is reliable, on time, and clearly places a value on customer satisfaction. The technician Shaun is great. This kind of service is very, very hard to find in Anchorage. Bob and Pam Johnson, South Anchorage. read more

I did not realize Drainmasters were not professional plumbers. We were not getting water to our toilets. My husband called this company to come out and take a look. I stayed home and told them that my husband had changed the valve and the hose. I failed to tell them he had also changed the angle stop. The person they sent out changed all the same parts my husband had already done and wanted to charge us over $700. My husband came home and was talking to the person that did the work, only to find out he was not even a licensed plumber. The person stated he was only the vacuum truck driver and their plumber was on vacation. My husband was livid. My husband is not a confrontational person, yet he called the supervisor. All they could do was to reduce the price to $500. $500 for work my husband had already done. Needless to say, we had real plumbers come to our house and fixed the problem within an hour for less than $300. Drainmasters is a rip off and don't even send certified licensed plumbers. Would never recommend them to anyone. read more

I called Rich after reading some reviews on Angies List and was completely satisfied. I called him at 10am hoping I may be able to schedule something next week, because I have had no luck in getting a plumber, and living in a trailer makes it even more difficult. He had a 3pm available. He was prompt, arriving at 3pm and very thorough in figuring out the problem. He didn't "take his time" to pinch more money out of me. He even fixed a sink strainer issue. He is a great plumber and I highly recommend him. read more

Avoid. They charge $59 to come out and access the problem then present you with a number of severely overpriced options. No discussion of what they felt needed to be done to address the problem, just choices that you need to make for them to perform. For my issue I had a clogged drain and they presented options from snaking the drain for slightly over $300 to a camera and water jet for north of $600. Call a real plumber, that's what I did. Cost me less than $150. read more

Two friendly, respectful guys showed up from Drain Masters on time and got the job done. They made some suggestions that we'll follow. Would that every home service was this professional. We will call again if we need to, and we'll be sharing this recommendation widely. read more

Cody and Cord, our technicians on this job, we're both competent and courteous throughout. They got right to work and were happy to keep us informed every step of the way. They even advised us as to when certain aspects of the work would be done so we could observe what the camera was recording inside the pipes. The job took 4 days and involved jackhammering up a floor, but when they were done, they ensured that the job site was thoroughly cleaned up and order restored. I was apprehensive initially about having to leave my house for the duration of the work but their diligent work ethic took away my uncertainty. I knew the house would be in good hands. Thank you for a good job! read more

Very quick, nice, and professional! Cleared our garage drain the same day and did a great job.

We discovered that our sewer lines are cast iron and almost 50 years old. Drain Masters came out and inspected the entire sewer line from the house to where it connects to the city sewer line. They let us watch as the technician ran the camera down the line and pointed out where existing issues were and spots that were likely to become issues in the future. They explained in detail what we were seeing, how issues happened, and what could/would happen if the issues were left as-is. The two gentlemen that did this inspection, Henry and Gerald, were very professional, considerate, and knowledgeable. They were very patient in explaining things to me and made sure I understood what I was seeing. Once we agreed to have them line the pipes to restore them, they got us on the schedule quickly. The crew that came in to do the work, Roger and Ian, made sure that I was kept informed of the progress, didn't mind that my dog kept laying down right in their path - his way of getting more attention :-) - and were focused on making sure the job was done right rather than just getting it done. I was very impressed with the entire process and all the individuals involved. I will definitely use them in the future and I recommend them wholeheartedly! read more

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. He was running a little late, called before he was due, to say he was running behind, stayed well past 5 on a Friday night to get me back up and running, charged me no overtime, left my bathroom pristine (which is ALOT more than I can say for roto rooter, who I called two months before) and left me with a very detailed receipt for my landlord. I will tell anyone who needs a plumber, that this is the guy to call. Drain Masters are the best. Courteous, professional, thorough, affordable. I could go on and on. I joined yelp, just to leave this post. read more

On-time, fast, clean, and got the job done. They understand what makes a customer happy. Very reasonable prices and easy to do business with. At one point, they asked if I could hold off on my non-emergency repair to allow them to deal with emergencies. Kitchen sink stopped up called another company first after 2 hours and snaking the guy couldn't figure it out. Called Drain masters he brought the correct equipment and a camera after 1 1/2 hours cleared the clog and then cleaned the pipe out. We got a copy of the video also. He wore booties over his shoes cleaned up any mess. Very professional organization. Will definitely call Drain Masters first next time !! read more

The water flows again! Thank you Jeff. Called for an appointment the evening before and was given a window of 10 am to 12 noon for the next morning. Jeff called at 9:45 am to say he was 10 to 15 minutes from our house. He is a friendly, considerate person. He went to work immediately, knew just where to start and got rid of a main drain clog.. Moral of the story is even if they flushable wipes, DO NOT flush them! Thanks again Jeff! "Problem Solved". read more

very bad service and bad customer service. Instead of snaking my house, they flood my bedroom and bathtub with sewerage. after the tech told me everything okay. Did half job, collect the money and bailed out. All those reviews and 5 stars they must be employee and family members. read more

I called Drain Masters because my main sewer line was completely clogged and out of service. They had originally set me up with an appointment for the next morning because they were booked up for the day. They ended up calling me back after a little while to tell me a tech. finished up sooner than expected and they could come over now.The guy showed up and had the sewer pipe cleared in no time.Turns out there were roots in the pipe.He advised sending a camera down the pipe to pin the exact problem down.Very nice guy,put the pipe back together for us.Would recommend their services to anyone.Awesome people to deal with. read more
