After having other contractors come out and try to fix or figure out our drain problem, Raul and his guys used their cameras, pressure washer, and experience to solve the mystery as to why our drains were not flowing more quickly. These guys are SO AMAZING. I just called them cuz I'm new to the area and my modular home has very low water pressure. My park manager said they couldn't help me so I reached out to the Drain Experts. They asked me a few questions and said they had a guy right in my area. This company showed no respect whatsoever when repiping my place. I strongly recommend you watch them and make sure they do a good job. This is not what I expect from a professional company. I normally do not place reviews on Yelp ,but the way my request was handled or not handled as the case maybe by Drain Experts (DE), I needed to let the facts speak for themselves. My client had a plugged up sewer line on a commercial business and needed it cleaned quickly. Clean outs in the restrooms and just outside the bldg. were readily accessible, the drain line length according to DE was 200 feet. Drain Experts was called into hydro jet the line, which they completed the work and charged my client $ 1,800, which when I heard the amount, it seemed high to me. So in recent weeks, I secured pricing for the same parameters of work from two local plumbing/rooter service companies in the $ 750 to $950 range. I will let the facts speak for themselves for the hydro jetting services by Drain Experts. Upon completion of the hydro jetting work, the tech stated the blockage would be back in 3 to 6 months if we do not fix the line. Drain Experts submitted a proposal in the amount of $ 6,500 for various repairs to the drain line and clean outs. Upon receipt and review of the proposal, I sent an detailed email back requesting an explanation to the proposal directly to Raul and we received no response. 11 days later after sending the first email, I sent a follow up email directly to Raul for an explanation of the proposal and still no response from Drain Experts was received. Now over 2 months later, we still have not received a response from Raul, the owner of Drain Experts. Subsequently after these events, I had my own maintenance team camera the full line and perform a thorough cleaning of the line. Interesting facts came to light in our camera review of the line. The total length of the line was overstated by 10% by DE. The tech stated the full cast iron line needed to be descaled. We discovered 20 feet out from the bldg., the sewer line changes to clay, there is no scale in clay pipe, again not an accurate scope of work by Drain Experts, as they over stated the necessary length of pipe to be descaled by 50%. I am completely done with Drain Experts, and again, I will let the facts as stated above to speak for themselves on the efforts or non efforts as the case maybe of Drain Experts. Drain Experts will not be on our select list of venders for our property management firm. read more

While the technicians who came to the house were polite and knowledgeable, the company consistently charged extra for things that should have been included, according to other companies who looked at the job after Drain Experts canceled it without completing the job. The new company came in and fixed what was unfinished within a few minutes without charging me extra (Drain Experts were going to charge $250 to replace a part that just needed to have the reset button pressed), and were surprised that things that they would have included in the job (drain pan and replacing old valves/connecting hoses, especially with a $900 out of pocket fee) were denied by Drain Experts. They were hired by my management company to replace some pipes in my unit. From the way they left my unit you would of thought no one resided inside. They left debris and dust all over my table, chairs, carpet, couch, floors, stove, walls and everything that was else in the kitchen, dining and living area. After removing the drywall they left me with an exposed wall with old dirty broken metal brackets and exposed insulation that has been in the wall for God knows how long. There was only 2 issues which is why it's not a 5 Star review. Upon completion of installing to shower faucets we found both to have a slight drip. They should have checked for drips / leaks upon completion. This was minor and was fixed with some additional plumbers putty and teflon tape. The only issue of concern is the price of the repair is extremely expensive. A much higher cost than any other plumber we've used in the past for similar type work. Just bought a new house and it came with some plumbing problems that the inspector failed to notice. With no help from the home warranty company who sent us out a sub par plumber to say the least, we checked yelp and this company was top of the list. I wanted the water pressure regulating valve and a shut off valve to my house replaced because I had a small leak. The Steel Plumbing and Drain guy gave me a quote of $650. I asked how much is the pressure regulating valve that is going to be installed, and the Steel Plumbing guy said $200. I asked for a breakdown (itemized) cost of the labor and parts, and the Steel Plumbing guy said it is a fixed $650 for this replacement work. I had the work done, and it was done well as far as I could tell. Two days later I find out that the pressure regulating valve can bought at Home Depot for only $91.20, and was quoted $300 to get all of the same work done. So the Steel Plumbing and Drain people can not be trusted with prices, and they charge way too much. So, parts were about $130, and with about 2 hours of work, it came out to $260/ hour; and this was for scheduled work. read more

We were referred to Raul and his guys from our contractor and got them on to do a repipe for our entire house. We originally had a slab leak which got repaired, but decided that it was best to just do a full repipe. It took us a while to make a final decision, but Raul was really great in touching base and seeing where we were at with everything. First of all, these guys are super professional, very honest and courteous. They showed up on time everyday and kept us in the loop with what was going on in the process. With regards to the actual repipe, Raul was very meticulous with trying to minimize the amount of holes having to be made in the house, and creating the best path possible for the water lines. He was also really great with informing us of what to expect after the pipes had been replaced and to notify him if there were any problems at all. We had a couple of hiccups with our washing machine, so I let Raul know and he was promptly in contact with me even on a weekend day, and sent one of his guys out early this week to fix the problem.
