Old Ownership, Hillman: Extremely disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel after recommending this individual to my recently widowed mother. He got lost, although he lives on the mountain, was routinely rude to my mom on the phone and in person once he arrived. She's trying her best, and address shows correctly with exact accuracy on Google Maps. He spoke very kindly with me and then was very condescending to my mom. Therefore I cancelled him immediately and she broke down in TEARS to me after he left, talking about how he made her feel belittled and reprimanded her that she "needs to learn how to give directions". Maybe he needs to learn how to use Google instead! Maybe he needs a lesson in patience and understanding.... in common decency, respect and basic customer service.

The very nice scheduler said they'd put us on a list in case there was a chance to fit us in sooner. Luckily just that thing happened two weeks out. The repair man showed up on time, and was very clean, friendly, and professional. He asked thorough questions and assess the situation fully. He finds have time us we needed a new heater, but he was very honest. He did a couple of tests to be sure and found that we only needed a new thermostat. He answered all of our questions in detail and in ways that we could understand. He offered to install thermostat for free if we ordered through him. Otherwise, he said it was so very simple to do we can do ourselves, and he even showed us how and sent us detailed explanation on how to do it with one we would go buy ourselves. He offered advice on thermostat types and brands. Definitely will use again!

Discussed potential future fixes for current minor concerns and for now, found a plastic piece in the pipes that could be what's been causing our ongoing issue. Also, just over time, these pipes got greasy from grease that can get down the sink from even just cleaning dirty plates. Our 1st and quickest option was a jet flow process. We did this and it did clean out the pipes and got that plastic piece out. We are continuing to monitor our situation and discussing future needs for the pipes anyways but per usual, Always Ready Plumbing and Drain was amazing. They arrived quickly, always super friendly, professional and efficient, and the pricing was still fair for what was needed this time as well. I continue to not be able to rave enough about them! Needed to replace it, and Kirk did a great job at a great price. Next, we added a split unit to heat/cool our two upstairs bedrooms. Install was reasonable and it worked well - until it didn't. The business changed owners a few years back, and it's been a struggle to keep the split units working. After some time, Jake came through and fixed our split unit, even adding a surge protector for free. I'm hoping things go smoothly from here. Be aware that surge protection is important on the mountain with all the unplanned outages we face.

In 12 years; I've had them solve two heating problems at my home. I'll give you two great examples…read moreof the marvelous service, insight and work that I've experienced both times. Back in 2016, the heater at my house wasn't putting out much heat. The owner then was Kirk, and he replaced some parts. After he fixed those parts, some OTHER PARTS BROKE!!!! Kirk came back and realized the problem. I won't get into detail; but he put a new heater in, while DEDUCTING the price for the parts AND LABOR of the first job! On top of that; he knew I had just moved in and was spending tons of money repairing other things. Kirk agreed to let me make 3 payments for the job. That was 2016. Kirk retired. Now, about 3 weeks ago, I was finally tired of the lower level of the house being so darn cold as my gas prices were climbing more and more each year. I called Cantrell again. The new guys were just as professional and insightful. They instantly noticed that the "tubes" (I can't think of the other word for them!) had too small a diameter to pump sufficient air. They also hooked new tubes up for downstairs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! MAN, OH MAN is it nice and warm downstairs. I've also noticed that the larger diametered tubes have resulted in the heater not being on as long as before to achieve the desired temperature. The new guys don't accept payments (they obviously take credit cards), but they're professional in every way. They answer the phones, keep in contact, keep their promise of when they're coming to work, then they leave after doing excellent repairs and upgrades. If something goes wrong with my heater or water heater; then Cantrell's is the only place I'm going to call. I bet you'll be just as pleased with them as I am!

Natasha was professional and very clear with communication from the start. She set proper expectations on communication with Tesla would take a week or two. The day she received the go ahead from Tesla she called and scheduled the install asap 4 days out. Later the same day they had a cancellation and were able to get everything scheduled the next day. Anthony and Jeremiah arrived at the beginning of the arrival window! They were professional, great with communication, and ready to work. I had several questions and they were prepared for all of them and super helpful. The battery removal and install took less than an hour. Naturally Tesla's update took twice as long. LOL. Still total time was under 3 hours. I have managed 100s of installers and worked in Solar, this was a fantastic expierence! Because the Tesla 3 has more storage than the 2 I asked about adding some of my Breakers to the back-up and they had options for us to do that. Obviously we Highly Recommend This Team!

Final Update: I just had Option One out at my home today to replace my inverters and I'm very happy…read moreto report my system looks to be back to fully working. The installers were awesome and got me going quickly. So regarding the communication issues I had with the company, things happen, people get busy and sometimes delays do occur. I'm just glad we were able to get everything resolved. Pricing, I did get a couple of additional quotes and Option One blew them out of the water. Could it be those other companies assumed I needed the parts and labor? Maybe, but I was very clear that I had the parts already. Bottom line it never hurts getting quotes and going from there. Service, so I got all the paperwork done yesterday early afternoon and was scheduled today (5/1) at 8am. I do realize there needs to be a buffer between appointment time and actual arrival time, I usually just assume an hour after the appointment time. But the techs were here at almost exactly 8am. As I have very limited knowledge on solar panels, the fact none of them fell off my roof (panels or techs) and nothing blew up, then it's safe to say they did a fantastic job. In the end my system is fixed and I'm happy. Also if I ever need work done on my system again I'm calling these guys up.

During my recent visit to my friend's mountain home, I was taken aback by the exorbitant price he had to pay for a sewage pump replacement carried out by Ray's company. The shocking bill amounted to a whopping $1200, despite the actual work taking less than two hours, and that didn't even include the cost of the pump itself. To say it was a rip-off would be an understatement. While I understand that service charges can vary, this pricing seemed unjustifiably high and left a bitter taste in my mouth. Given the brief duration of the service and the steep cost, I cannot help but feel that Ray's is taking advantage of its customers. It's disappointing to witness such exploitative practices, which overshadow any potential positive aspects of their services. As a result of this disheartening encounter, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Ray's services to anyone. There are undoubtedly more reasonable options available. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I strongly recommend shopping around for more competitively priced alternatives. read more

After a couple of failed attempts to clear our clogged toilet and tub, I decided it was time to call a professional. I was looking for a highly rated plumber, and found Rays Plumbing in Crestline, CA. I described my plumbing issue with Ray over the phone, and he gave me a quote based on my description. It was pouring rain, but Ray and his assistant showed up on time as promised. He introduced himself, and I felt confident I'd chosen the right man for the job. Ray not only cleared the clog, he cleaned out the unseen portion of the toilet. He then made sure the downstairs toilet was flushing properly. Afterward, Ray inspected the drain pipes, and concluded that bends on one section were too tight for proper outflow. He quoted me a price, and made the repair. When all was said and done, the final cost (with the additional repair) was less than the original estimate. I highly recommend Rays Plumbing, and see no reason to call anyone else. We had a huge plumbing issue at our home recently in Lake Arrowhead ~ repeated clogged toilets and showers. Ray is highly experienced, quick to respond, diagnoses and explains the issues in detail. Day or night / weekends / snowstorms / he will try to get out to your home and fix the problem, whatever it may be. Very reasonable prices / doesn't overcharge or inflate prices. Each time we've had him out, we are very satisfied with his professionalism, high work ethic, and knowledge/experience. Don't waste your time calling anyone else for plumbing needs. Ray and his son came when I needed them. I had plumbing problems to say the least. They where there the same day I called. Ray walked through everything he was going to do and gave me a price before he started. They where very quick and fixed everything that was needed. Can't thank them enough Update: rays plumbing saved me once more, the freezing temps up here broke a pipe and had water going everywhere. They came out with in the hour(I found the shut-off for my water) they fixed my brake in lil time and had me water back before I had work thanks a ton ray. read more

My landlord called them out due to a leak we didn't know we had except for a high water bill. They came out right away and found the problem. They explained everything and started the next day. Joe was friendly and great and answering and explained everything, gave us a date when it would be completed. All their workers we hard at work. Great service most definitely. I highly recommend to anyone with their plumbing issues. *side note* it was a main water pipe leaking under the ground which they had to dig 160 feet from the home. read more

The most recent job was clearing our main sewer line and replacing our water heater. We have used Ray's Plumbing on several occasions. They are always helpful, on time, fair, and extremely professional. We will call them again for any future needs. I would recommend you call Ray's Plumbing first. The were in and out 10 min changed a valve on gas's dryer and put new gas line on. Fair price The younger one told me a cute story his grandpa was a plummer . Old Ownership, Hillman: Extremely disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel after recommending this individual to my recently widowed mother. He got lost, although he lives on the mountain, was routinely rude to my mom on the phone and in person once he arrived. She's trying her best, and address shows correctly with exact accuracy on Google Maps. He spoke very kindly with me and then was very condescending to my mom. Therefore I cancelled him immediately and she broke down in TEARS to me after he left, talking about how he made her feel belittled and reprimanded her that she "needs to learn how to give directions". Maybe he needs to learn how to use Google instead! Maybe he needs a lesson in patience and understanding.... in common decency, respect and basic customer service.

This plumbing company is predatory and takes advantage of ignorance. Hire a local self employed plumber for 1/4 the cost. These plumbers are too scared and lazy to get their own van, they could make more and charge less. Boycott these guys. Plumber said our soceity is messed up, no, this company is messed up I won't pay 500 premium for a facade.

We were told we'd have to wait three weeks, but that was better than other places quoted. We have a fireplace, and it was beginning of November, were fine until then. The very nice scheduler said they'd put us on a list in case there was a chance to fit us in sooner. Luckily just that thing happened two weeks out. The repair man showed up on time, and was very clean, friendly, and professional. He asked thorough questions and assess the situation fully. He finds have time us we needed a new heater, but he was very honest. He did a couple of tests to be sure and found that we only needed a new thermostat. He answered all of our questions in detail and in ways that we could understand. He offered to install thermostat for free if we ordered through him. Otherwise, he said it was so very simple to do we can do ourselves, and he even showed us how and sent us detailed explanation on how to do it with one we would go buy ourselves. He offered advice on thermostat types and brands. Definitely will use again!

I called and scheduled an appointment with them to replace our kitchen faucet and received an…read moreappointment the next day which I appreciated. The technician was very friendly and courteous but, and it's a big "but" he quoted me $900-$1200 for a kitchen faucet and another $1900 for labor. He also stated that his company couldn't guarantee the installation because our water pressure was over 100 psi. Plus he needed to replace our angle stops which would be another $350. I purchased a faucet at Costco for $125 received other bids for less than $300 labor, called our water provider, CVWD and they were aghast that the plumber said our water pressure was too high as it's at 550 psi which is normal for our area and equipment. After I declined to hire Pride Plumbing I've received over 14 text messages and emails from them although I replied with "stop" on their texts. I've now had to block over three different phone numbers yet today I received another text in which I responded again with the reasons why I didn't hire them. Im a senior living in a beautiful community but cost is a factor when I consider vendor services. It's my opinion that I felt taken advantage of and have written this review.
