Mo Goo Gai Pan
Vaibhav M.

We went in to pick up our order in a friday night and it seems that they are still not back from the COCID days with all indoor seating pushed to the side and only pick up/delivery available. We order the chicken lo mein, sheimp toast and the mo goo gai pan. All our food was really really good. The chicken lo mein had perfectly cooked noodles along with a healthy serving of chicken and was as spicy as we asked it to be. The shrimp toast exceeded our expectations as they give you 4 pieces that are oozing shrimp, not like some other were you can hardly find any. The Mo Goo Gai Pan was an experiment on my part and it worked out gloriously. It was chicken and veggies cooked in a corn starch broth so it did not have any flavor to itself but with the extra helping of chilli oil on top of the rice, it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The ambience inside as I mentioned earlier was nothing special, it's just a server handing orders to people so there was no dine in option. They also discontinued the buffet...another victim of 2020 We would definitely be back and would definitely want the buffet to be back as well!

Shrimp fried rice

Ordered 5 wings and fried rice. I was charged separately and given a half portion of rice as well as given three wings broken in half's to give the illusion of 5 wings. I was charged almost $19 for this. I will never return again

I have always seen this place next door to my chiropractor and decided to check it out. I ordered their pepper steak and was looking forward to enjoying it. Imagine arriving home, and it's time to eat, and you open the bag, pull out the food, open it, and see what's in the picture I provided. It was primarily full of onions, and I counted four pieces of bell pepper and seven small pieces of steak. Also, there was no gravy in it. I'm from up North, and we know good Chinese food, and they would never give us six little pieces of steak and all those onions and hardly any peppers in it. I was appalled and disappointed, and I will not purchase anything else from Dragon Wok. On a positive note, the lady who took my order was pleasant from when I placed it to when I received it.

It's ok. Fried rice had no vegetables, just yellow rice. General Tsos was mediocre and had just fried pieces with no chicken.

I'll start off by saying I appreciate how clean this place is. I walked in on a Sunday evening at almost 8pm and the place was spotless. Food was fresh, service was cheerful. My food was well packaged. By far the best egg roll I've ever had. The fried rice could've used more flavor, but nothing a little soy sauce couldn't fix. And it's right next to my food lion, only 5 mins from the house. This place will surely be a go-to.

Enough veggies to say they were in there. I added a couple of eggs and some soy sauce when I got home and tried it to make it taste like something. Again, no chicken in the chicken fried rice. I ordered beef and broccoli and asked if I could pay for extra beef (and was told yes and I DID pay for it.) Things I don't understand: how come it was in the same sized box as a regular order if you added extra beef? How come the extra beef was chicken (?!?!)? The beef was almost soggy the chicken ("extra beef") wasn't beef. Not sure I'm going to go back but thought I would at least tip off other people to check your orders before you leave the building.

We've had amazing Chinese food in San Francisco Chinatown when we lived there during our post…read moregraduate studies, and have to say this place measures up! Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

That kitchen is packed with people cooking up the absolute best Chinese food and takeout in the Triad. It doesn't get better than this folks. This is currently, and always has been, the best spot to get your fix. Even my family members from NY who have access to amazing Chinese takeout on every corner agree. Everything is delicious, but make sure you get enough of their scratch made pork egg rolls to have one with you meal, and one for the air fryer to go with your leftovers. They are addicting. Try the crispy scallion chicken, along with your favorites. Golden Wok forever!

Not sure how old the interior photos are on their Yelp reviews but looks better in person. Dude running the place was waiting on tables, answering the phones, taking orders at the front, bossing people around in the back and bringing the food out of the kitchen and serving it HOT! He was a one man show today and killing it! Plus he was so nice. About the food. I ordered an Eggroll and Curry Chicken with fried rice. The eggroll was not the best I've had but it was good. It tasted fresh and no signs of the red pork that you sometimes get (thumbs up).The Curry Chicken sauce was really good. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were fresh and crisp. My only complaint would be to not serve green peppers with the yellow curry sauce. It's my own personal preference because peppers give me heartburn. I will go back for sure to try some other dishes and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for relaxing ambiance and fresh, delicious Chinese cuisine.

We didn't order them this time, but they're definitely on the list for a future visit. Everything we did get was packed with flavor. The crab rangoons and pork dumplings arrived hot and fresh, and the Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken, chicken chow fun, and garlic beef were all very tasty. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find. That aside, this is a super solid takeout option for flavorful, authentic, and fresh Chinese food.

The egg roll was mainly pork and cabbage, it has good flavor without the cabbage being overpowering. (Full disclosure: I am a shrimp/bean spout girl, so egg roll was better tasting than many similar egg rolls.) The crab rangoon was disappointing. the filling was a doughy consistency, the texture was chewy, and the cream cheese flavor wasn't there. The cashew chicken has a variety of vegetables, however, the flavor wasn't there for me. The fortune cookie I ate seemed stale (soft/chewy). I realize with chinese cuisine there are many different regions/flavors, so I don't hold it against them. I would just say it's not my cup of tea. This location provides a pick-up window, but beware--do not block access to back of the strip mall. I would also watch traffic in parking as 2 drivers were not paying attention speeding through lot--luckily I was watching and avoided a collision. I wanted add: Despite managing phones, drive thru, and counter, when I walked in to pickup my order staff was courteous and friendly. Food appeared to be made fresh and was hot when I arrived home.

While it's a relatively impressive looking storefront in a rundown and half empty shopping center, I have always had great experiences with the food. Items are prepared fast, fresh, and always taste great. From working here, I know that many of the items on the menu are made fresh in a house (eggrolls, chicken teriyaki appetizers, sauces, etc.) and you can tell from the fresh quality. Like many restaurants at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, China City closed their storefront and transitioned to a strictly takeout or delivery model. Granted, before that happened, it was extremely rare to see somebody dine in and there's has always really been a to-go establishment. I recall a time when there used to be a buffet, but it was never busy enough to maintain. Recently, they have reopened the storefront and put out a couple of tables for inside dining and you can actually walk inside to pick up your food from the counter again, and it's nice to have that interaction with the owners which has been missing for years!
