I've always wanted to try this place, so figured since I was out and about shopping small business Saturday, I'd it. 2 stars for the girl working behind the counter, she was friendly and helpful. 0 stars for the food itself. Rice is extremely dry, and not really sure what the flavoring is on the chicken, but it's not a flavor I've ever tasted when eating General Tso's. It taste like ot had BBQ or something on it prior and they've re-purposed. NASTY!

My fave Chinese spot in the Triad always has a long wait and sometime you just don't want to wait too long. If you know, you know. China Garden however is in my backyard and has pretty good reviews so I made my way today. Indecisive as usual, I eventually made my selection. The cashier didn't offer much assistance, but was patient so that's was good. I ordered fried shrimp and house fried rice, general tsos combo (egg roll and pork fried rice), hot and sour soup and shrimp egg roll. She also gave me plenty of sauce packets, which is an unusual yet appreciated occurrence. We enjoyed everything, but the fried shrimp. Definitely will drop in again.

I'll start off by saying I appreciate how clean this place is. I walked in on a Sunday evening at almost 8pm and the place was spotless. Food was fresh, service was cheerful. My food was well packaged. By far the best egg roll I've ever had. The fried rice could've used more flavor, but nothing a little soy sauce couldn't fix. And it's right next to my food lion, only 5 mins from the house. This place will surely be a go-to.

Hmmm. Where to start…read more Positives: clean restaurant and friendly service. Price point was decent. Cons: I ordered chicken fried rice that had absolutely no chicken. Or flavor. Enough veggies to say they were in there. I added a couple of eggs and some soy sauce when I got home and tried it to make it taste like something. Again, no chicken in the chicken fried rice. I ordered beef and broccoli and asked if I could pay for extra beef (and was told yes and I DID pay for it.) Things I don't understand: how come it was in the same sized box as a regular order if you added extra beef? How come the extra beef was chicken (?!?!)? The beef was almost soggy the chicken ("extra beef") wasn't beef. Not sure I'm going to go back but thought I would at least tip off other people to check your orders before you leave the building.

Well dang, what a surprise this place was! We have a clear cut favorite Chinese take-out place…read morenormally, but the rest of Greensboro ALSO has that same favorite (IYKYK) and on peak nights, the wait can sometimes be more than an hour, so we needed a backup. I like a place in Jamestown that is a little closer, but my wife doesn't like their noods quite as much, so I suggested we try this place that was just a little farther. The only negative I have for this place, is it is located in a SKETCHY shopping center. Ever since the Food Lion moved out (there's always a Food Lion), the amount of light in this parking lot is extremely low. At night, it doesn't present well, but really, it's fine. Just stay alert, and with the low amount of cars, you can just pull up in front of the restaurant where it is more well-lit. The food though. YES. Great portions, reasonably priced, and as another reviewer mentioned, you'll find more meat and maybe even better meat, in your orders than at other places for the most part. We kept this first order basic. Orange chicken, beef lo mein, steamed dumplings, and crab rangoons. Kind of our basis for comparison to all other places. The orange chicken, first thing you notice, big pop of zesty orange flavor. Check. Next thing you notice and I would say even makes it better than our favorite... much lighter thinner breading on the chicken chunks. This means more meat, and a more satisfying bite, especially once the chicken gets a little cooler and loses some crispiness. This was a winner. Beef lo mein. Noodles were excellent, amount of beef, also excellent. No toughness or gristle. We were super satisfied with this. Crab rangoons, pretty standard quality. Steamed dumplings, probably not something we would go for again, as these were your basic gyoza. Our fave place on Bridford hand makes their steamed dumplings and that quality shows. Egg rolls, were good enough to order again, but nothing amazing. Accoutrements like crispy noodles and white rice, all good. Even the fortune cookies, NOT STALE! This was a treat, and a tough thing to find. It's clear to me why this place can continue to do well even with the shopping center losing that grocery store anchor. We will be returning customers!

But while I was tryiing to place my order, the lady at the counter stop taking my orderTHREE TIMES - twice to take a call in order (while I waited), and once to take payment from a customer (while I waited some more) On the third one, I left. Don't think I'll try that again.

Keep in mind, this is the standard americanized chinese food, it's cheap, fresh and the chicken wings are AMAZING. They give you 4 full chicken wings, fried to perfection, huge, juicy TASTY wings, in my opinion, they best I've had anywhere that's had chicken wings. So many people will be waiting for their order of... wait for it, like 5 orders of chicken wings. Like I said, living in Seattle, believe it or not I can't find chinese food this good there, the portions are nice, the prices are right, and although they continue to raise the price is the chicken wings (they used to be 2 bux, now they're almost 4, and nothing else has been raised so dramatically) I'mstill pretty much counting the hours til I can go there today, having just gotten into town for the holidays. My favs: Curry chicken, Beef & broccoli, CHICKEN WINGS!!! my mother would cut someone for messing with her beef egg fu young.... I used to order this amazing spicy lunch dish with shrimp and chicken... the ONE flaw I think is that their fried rice is too dark, and a bit too greasy, I like fluffy yellow rice and theirs is darker, but considering I don't eat that much fried rice, I'm gonna let it go... And now, I continue to wait for the Wings...
