Tucked in at the back of the casino at Montego Bay, Paradise Grill is a nice restaurant! Despite being near the casino, we couldn't smell the smoke, which was nice. The tables were some sort of granite or marble, and were very pretty and heavy. Our server was great! He was taking care of the whole (or most of the room) by himself. We all got something different. My nephew got the endless spaghetti and got his money's worth! We stayed to chat quite awhile while my sister played slots. If we're back in Wendover, I'd like to visit again!

Of the places to eat in Wendover I have to say it's good. Once in the restaurant you really can't see the casino very much so it's a good escape. The tropical visuals are definitely a positive.

Good food, Reasonable prices [West Wendover NV]…read more Had brunch here inside the Red Garter Hotel & Casino, one of the hotels at the UT|NV stateline on the Nevada side in West Wendover. It was around 8:00a early in the day and the cafe only had one other party in the dining room. The cafe had a nice, clean, cozy interior with a casual atmosphere. The menu offered a variety of classic American dishes and comfort food favorites. We ordered a couple of 2-egg breakfast plates, one with bacon and the other with sausage. Each served with hashbrowns and choice of toast. Food came quickly. Our server was friendly and pleasant and also gave us a 10% discount off our bill. Food was great and prices were reasonable. Perhaps it was that there…read morewere so few people there on a Friday evening, which made for a slightly more intimate experience. Or maybe it was the unique décor with old wood paneling and western pictures that totally set the vibe. Whatever it was, it worked. The menu was also just right-Goldilocks would have loved it...not too small, not too robust. There was a little something for anyone, without being over the top. I gravitated toward the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy-comfort food. The flavor of everything was pretty good, although the timing of bringing things to the table was off. My meal came out 3-5 minutes before my dining partner's did, so by the time I dove in (I'm not a jerk, I waited), it was not hot. Overall, for the price, it was a good experience. Keep your expectations in check, and you'll be happy.

We ordered take-out, but they have inside seating if you want to eat there.

Plenty of parking, easy to find just past the NV casinos in Utah and busy at lunch time. I really enjoyed the food here. It really is where the locals go. We heard Spanish speakers plus cops, firemen and animal control officers. Upon entry you are greeted. You must wait to be seated. We received complimentary chips and salsa (very authentic), we were offered drinks and given the menus. So much to choose from. We settled on the Poncho Special plus cheese enchiladas. They both came with rice and beans. The Ponchos special had such flavorful meat and the enchiladas were so cheesy. Both not easily forgotten. The beans and rice seemed to be from scratch and each plate had a bit of lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Two rules. You need to wait to be seated and you must pay in cash. If you are stopping by the casinos, traveling down highway 80 or just in town give them a try.

I opted for the Subway sandwich, and my husband ordered his meal from Burger King which shares the building with Subway. The set up is typical of Subway where you walk through a line at the counter, order on one end, and pay on the other end. The staff was efficient, but I had a hard time hearing them behind the counter as I walked through the line. They had some daily special sandwiches, and I opted to the sandwich of the day. It was a 6" Black Forest Ham, and I chose the wheat bread. I got my favorite toppings of tomatoes, spinach, and olives with honey mustard dressing. I did not get a drink or any of their add-on sides to go with it. I got a cup for water to wash things down as I ate. The sandwich tasted good and hit the spot.
