So glad we ate here. In town overnight just passing through. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. Great variety on the menu to choose from and a great local feel. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Will be stopping here again next road trip. read more

On the Utah side. Quiet and away from the smoke and casino baggage. Great breakfast. The chorizo skillet was excellent. Maybe a bit more chorizo would be good but definitely solid. Great service and cheaper than the casino. Veggie omelette was also as solid choice and pancakes are good and huge. When we get to Wendover, this will be our go to read more

This is an American/ Mexican restaurant the decor is more American diner style I had the cheeseburger with fries My friend had the open face roast beef sandwich. They were out of mashed potatoes so he substituted fries The burger was very good the fries were ok but a bit oily The prices were very good as was the service The restaurant is easy to find just a few block into Utah read more

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Love the non chain feel. The vibe was just relaxing. Had the Carne Asada plate, tender steak, seasoned and cooked well, beans and rice with potatoes. Large chicken quesadilla with little chunks of chicken, but enough that you had chicken in every bite cheese, peppers and homemade salsa.Rice and beans good and seasoned. Foood was served hot, good portion size. read more

Stopped randomly for brunch on our way to Salt Lake. The food was solid for breakfast, I enjoyed the chorizo scramble, hubby had the Birria plate special, he liked it a lot. This is a clean, well maintained diner. Our young server was terrific with good recommendations for food and local info. No alcohol, too bad as a beer would have been a welcome addition. read more

Highly recommend this family-owned restaurant! They have a great menu with lots of delicious choices at very reasonable prices. It's a much better value than eating at the casinos, especially if you're dining with a big family. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. Thank you Sofia and the rest of your awesome crew! read more

One of the area's most popular venues, and for good reason. Top of the list is, it's pretty much the only cafe on either side of Wendover's border that isn't in a casino. Has a nice, cozy, small-town vibe with great service and solid food. You can get traditional cafe fare or Mexican food, and breakfast is served all day. Prices are very reasonable. read more

My friend and I stopped in here over the weekend after a couple hours experiencing the great Bonneville Salt Flats at sunrise. We had been up since 4 am and were hungry after getting over 5,000 steps. I ordered the Chile Verde breakfast burritos which came with delicious, crispy-fried home fries, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, pico de gallo, and two eggs any style (I got sunny side up). Every part of the dish was tasty, and my friend noted my plate also looked great. It was a lot of food too! My friend got an order of pancakes with a side of bacon. The dish came with maple syrup in little containers and butter. Though the pancakes looked great, my friend felt they were heavy/dense. The bacon was really good - crispy and not too salty. My only regret was that the restaurant did not have lids for their to-go cups - otherwise I was planning to order a horchata and a coffee to mix together and take away. Plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy to find on the 'main drag' in Wendover. Overall, a nice local joint, better than a truck stop or fast food, full of locals, with a solid Mexican menu plus all the basics/standards. read more

The Copper Kettle doesn't look like much from the outside. When stepping on of our car we were hit with wonderful smells. We were warmly greeted and told we could sit wherever we liked. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. The prices on the menu were very reasonable. I ordered the chicken fried steak with chicken noodle soup. My husband had a burger with fries. Grandma had a BLT. We were all very pleased with our meals. The food was fresh, hot and seasoned perfectly. The soup was made from scratch with homemade noodles. It was so good. If we ever find ourselves just traveling through again, we will definitely be stopping back in. read more

5 STARS for being EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted a small diner with a small town feel away from the casino vibe. Good food comparable to any chain like a Village Inn, Pancake House, IHOP, but better. You walk into the smell of coffee and good morning weekend energy. The food was better than any breakfast I have had at Rainbow, Montego, or Peppermill. The locals know where to go. I am a regular visitor and this will be my "GO TO" for breakfast every time. Service was quick, nice, and excellent. Thank you read more

Was driving to this area and found this place on Yelp. As other reviews stated, it is clean and very friendly. The Philly cheesesteak was really good as was the club sandwich. I didn't really care for their fresh cut fries but that's just me. A great small business that deserves to be supported! read more

Ended up staying an extra night in Wendover and this was within walking distance of our hotel. They serve breakfast all day long which should be the standard in the food industry, yet so few places do it. The food was very good with large portions. We were hungry after climbing mountains all day and this was what I was looking for. The service was very fast and the folks that work here are nice. Has that old town diner/coffee shop vibe. Will be back on our next trip to the area. read more

We just finished dinner at Copper Kettle and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Seniors Hamburger Plate and the Combo Cheese Enchilada Plate were nicely done and reasonable in price. Service was prompt and correct. The ambiance was not crowded, was clean, and there was nice seating in either booths or tables. This is on the Utah side so there was no gambling or casino stuff conflicting. read more

We've passed by this place many times over the years and finally decided to stop in. This was our first visit to Copper Kettle Café, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The food was good, the portions generous, and it had that comforting, home-style feel that really hit the spot. For a first visit, it left a great impression, and we're already looking forward to coming back. read more

The Copper Kettle Cafe is a restaurant where food portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. It felt like the type of place where it would be best to get breakfast. Since they serve it all day. There are not a lot of restaurant options in Wendover, but I want to recommend this one. There is plenty of parking out front. read more

Amazing fresh made French fries. We stopped for breakfast. Food was hot and yummy. The ham was not to good, cheap and salty. You only get one piece of toast, not the traditional 2 pieces. But the portions were large and we didn't eat everything we ordered. Everyone around us was eating the menudo soup and it looked so delicious. I wish it wasn't made with tripe. Service was perfect. This is a great alternative to eating below par casino food. read more

Nice place and nice service but the food was meh. I got the breakfast burrito and it tasted quite bland.

We arrived right when she was flipping the sign to open. Excellent timing. We picked where we wanted to sit. We got waters right away and noticed she was the only waitress. I'd never tried chrizo in eggs before. Waitress said it was her choice. Perfect. Hubby got breakfast burritos and the eggs came on top. Mom got the California shrimp omelet. I got to try it but couldn't get over the shrimp this early in the day. It had good flavor but not my thing. The service was fantastic even as it got busy and she was still the only server. I would recommend this place. It's not attached to a casino, clean and friendly. read more

Saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try -- as it was near the Best Western hotel were were staying at for the night. I have to say I was quite impressed with the food and the service! We liked this place so much that on our way back to Colorado, we stopped there again for dinner! All the menu items looked good and prices were reasonable. Portions were quite generous and food was very tasty. What impressed us most was the service which was friendly, attentive and fast. Furthermore, we were really impressed with the server Oz! We watched this young man calmly and very professionally diffused/managed a very difficult customer who was complaining about everything (her table mate was even offended by her attitude). I give five stars to Oz for how he handled that very difficult customer! Both times we were there, we watched Oz efficiently handle the whole restaurant (service part of it). Our hats are also off to the chef in the kitchen who prepared some tasty meals with great efficiency and speed! I will be visiting this restaurant next time I pass through Wendover. Its the food, the service and the reasonable prices here that will keep us revisiting this place! read more

A quiet place off the beaten path! This hidden gem was a pleasant change up from the mediocre breakfast you get in the casino restaurants. Really good verde burrito, decent coffee and good service. Place is clean and comfortable.

06-17-2024 The food here is good but not really good. It's a lot better than Primo at the Rainbow Casino. Copper Kettle Cafe is a tucked away place on the main drag. If you have a lowered vehicle, I suggest you not use their parking lot because you will bottom out. The interior was clean, and the employees acknowledge you as you walk in. You seat yourself anywhere then someone will bring you a menu. everyone was pleasant. we ordered: 1. Cheese Enchiladas combo plate with rice and beans $12.95 The taco was the better of the combo. overall was a good deal for the price, portions are good. 2. Grande Burrito with shredded beef. $14.95 This was more like a Mojado Burrito with red sauce, a side of beans and rice. This decent for the price but not a wow this is good. overall was a good deal for the price per portion. We wanted to order the Chile Verde Burrito, but they ran out of Verde sauce. Overall, this place is good. You get more food at a reasonable price compared to the Casinos. This is a non-smoking restaurant so that was nice. the casinos are not and it's like smoking a pack per visit. read more

I ordered the Monte Cristo with a side salad. My salad was iceberg lettuce with a handful of shredded carrots sitting a water. Granted, the lettuce was crisp, but I had to shake the water off before dipping in dressing. The Monte Cristo was meh. A typically Monte Cristo (from where I am from) has a cranberry sauce either on the sandwich or to be spread on. This one did not. The flavor was over taken by bad grease. I could not taste the meat or cheese on the sandwich. I am disappointed that I paid $15 for a sandwich I only ate 1/4 of and a water salad. I do NOT recommend this restaurant read more

The food was good but we had to get it to go. They started cleaning the dining room before close. The hours said they closed at 9 pm and when we went in at 830 pm, there was cleaner and rags on the tables and the mop bucket was sitting by the check in stand. The smell of the cleaning supplies was so strong it made me ill and I had to leave, We had planned on eating in because we had just driven ten hours and were looking forward to a nice meal. But instead, I had to eat my dinner out of a styrofoam container with plastic utensils. If I could make any recommendations, please don't start cleaning until you close. I understand you want to go home but you never know when you might have a customer that is sensitive to cleaning supplies. The food was good, but not great. Not good enough to make up for being chased out of the dining room by strong odor. read more

Food was mediocre. Waitress didn't bring the corn tortillas we ordered, I finally had to go ask for them. She brought me a large OJ when I ordered a small, then wanted to charge me for it. They did not provide a ticket when we were trying to pay and leave, and got irritated when I asked for one. They also got irritated when I asked them to change the price on the OJ back to what I had ordered. I don't see how they have a good rating, my experience there was not good at all. read more
