Located inside the Rainbow casino is this restaurant that serves breakfasts to prime rib which my mom, son and I had. My son didn't even touch it and they were kind enough to return it but my mom and I ate the edible parts that weren't overdone for medium. Its a good deal for $30 bucks as it comes with soup or salad, a baked potato or potato your way and veggies that weren't worth bringing out. My niece had the chicken fried chicken and she liked her dish and my sister ordered a steak that she too also enjoyed. Our server was great and fast. The hot chocolates were very tasty with whip cream. The best part of the meal were the hot rolls with butter. Prices seem reasonable but the food can be prepared better. Its a café like place so I will be back to try other things if im ever in the area. We did have reservations to the steakhouse but looked at the a la carte menu and it's more expensive than Ruth's Chris with not so many good reviews. Glad we came here instead. read more

My friends and I enjoyed attending this restaurant on a Friday night. We ordered a quesadilla, Santa Fe chicken sandwich, western burger and Pepperjack melt. All of us enjoyed our respective meals-- DEFINITELY get the buffalo fries instead of regular fries. They aren't buffalo seasoned or anything they're just seasoned well and taste like curly fries but they aren't curly. The beers were standard and the men enjoyed them, also, the water tasted good. This was our first time eating here . We ate here for a late lunch . The menu has a lot of good choices . You can also get breakfast food all day . We ordered the turkey, ham croissant with fries . This was a big sandwich it came with lettuce & tomato . The meat was stacked high & came with Swiss cheese . I was disappointed it only came with one tiny tomato slice . The ham was not that good it was dry . The croissant was fresh & soft. The fries were good they were double fried crispy . We also got the open faced Turkey dish . This was really good ! I ordered the Chorizo Skillet... $18.95 Three eggs scrambled with Mexican chorizo, sautéed with onions, peppers, home fried potatoes topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream and salsa. The food was overpriced for the quality. The eggs seemed liked powdered eggs. The potatoes were over cooked, and the salsa was probably pace picante sauce. Wife had Oh I cannot remember but she was not happy. The coffee is weak. She did not want to come back. On our second trip to the area, I convinced my wife to give this place another try. Just to be fair because the first time could have been a bad day. we had to wait again for our server after being seated. Both time the place was not busy. I ordered the Chile Verde Platter $19.95 Chunks of pork shoulder simmer in a mild savor of green chiles, tomatillos and a unique blend of spices, served with rice and beans and choice of tortillas. The Verde sauce was watery, and the pork was ok, but I got five chunks. Flour tortillas seemed store bought not fresh and thin. The rice was under cooked. Beans were ok. I would not order this again. Wife ordered a Cheeseburger $17.95 Lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and pickles with fries. The fries were barely warm. We had to flag down a server not our original one to request a new batch of fries. She returned with a smaller portion of fries that were probably microwaved hot. When I went to pay, I asked if they had AARP discounts and the cashier said no to any discounts. The casino is smokey, but the restaurant was pretty well ventilated. No smoking in the dining area. The tables and flooring were clean. You know back in the day casinos had good eats at very reasonable prices because they made their money off your gambling. Those days are over it seems. We were waiting and waiting for our food thinking it's taking a long time (it was over 40 mins, but not sure how long) we started seeing people who came in after us getting their food. Another table near us (that was there before us)was complaining of the same thing, and went to the front and asked. A couple mins later they got their food. We decided we better go ask and was told it would be right there. We got our food a couple mins later, the food was cold, the bread on the sandwiches was dried out and hard, and the bacon tasted like it had been deep fried, which takes the flavor. I ordered the primo sampler (appetizer) for 17.95 and was surprised to get a plate that had 3 onion rings, 3 mozzarella sticks, and 3 small chicken wings. It also had a small container of ranch dressing and a small container of marinara. No garnish no nothing. This was a six or seven dollar plate at best. These people, with a straight face, are charging Disneyland prices for Burger King quality food. It's not a resort, it's a casino. Remember when they gave you cheap food to draw you in to gamble? Now when you go in and eat their sub-par food gambling is not an option. Next time I'll go across the street to Burger King. read more

I've been to the Primo twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and both times the service has been great. There's not a lot on the menu, but everything I've had has been fresh and well-prepared. My biggest complaint is that it's pretty expensive for a casino cafe, and out of line with prices elsewhere in Wendover. read more

Had a late night meal here our first night at the Rainbow, this place is 24/7, nice atmosphere. Has special menu page for seniors 55+, so hubby had the spaghetti /garlic toast for 4.99 and added a dinner salad for 3.99. I ordered the Szechuan spicy beef/veggie stirfry, 10.99, (I'm not 55). Dinner salad very nice. Hubby's spaghetti/toast he said tasty, he prefers more sauce but couldn't complain for price. Sadly my Chinese dish not very good. The beef was on the dry/chewy side and as far as veggies it was all fried greasy onions and mushrooms (a few water chestnuts), needless to say I ate only about a 1/4 of it. The server never came back during meal so it was no sense ordering something else given my hubby was just finishing when she returned. She asked if I wanted to talk to manager but I declined. The obvious thing to do was to just taken my meal off bill without any hassle. Fortunately we noticed on the bill that she hadn't charged him for his lemonade and salad so at least we felt better about that. We did go back another late night for just a dinner salad and soup but were out of soup so I had chili. This time a bunch of water on bottom of salad plate and I asked for onions on chili but didn't get them, so this time not so good. Everyday I've eaten here (stayin in the hotel so I've tried giving this place multiple chances because it's convenient) it's taken someone 10+ minutes to sit me, while 6-7 of the employees just walk by me and chitchat with each other. Eggs Benedict is supposed to be served on an English muffin, but it was clearly served on a doughy biscuit, that was cut in half. My fiance ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was inedible. The biscuits were so under cooked, it was just a bowl full of dough and nasty tasting gravy. This food was so bad I wouldn't feed it to my dog.
