Great service and tasty enough pizza :D Full bar. Shuffleboard and pinball machine: FUN Nice little place to grab a slice!

I enjoyed my pepperoni slice! A bit on the flimsy side, but the top of the crust is really nice. I also appreciated the fact that the pepperoni pieces weren't circles. It's a good place to stop if you need a quick and cheap bite to eat.

Wanted a quick bite to eat while in Davis Square so decided to come here. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't on my list after all the hype from last year. We ordered cheese slices and the lady was nice enough to let us wait for the fresh pie that was in the oven. We also ordered two cokes. After ordering we went and found a table in the dragons lair, the attached room with a bar and games. Our pizza was brought to us and it didn't take long for it to come out! I actually really enjoyed the pizza, it's one of the better cheese slices I've had. It wasn't burnt either which was nice. Prices are pretty good, and I appreciate that you can come here for slices if you don't want a full pie. Will be back if in the area.

Came here because it was close by and looked good. I had ordered on the phone and 2 large pizzas took 15 minutes to make so that was awesome. When I got there, the staff was very welcoming and cool when I was taking photos, they even posed! The sizes of the pizzas are so big for their price! I enjoyed the vegetable pizza but I wish there were more veggies on it, you get a bite with vegetables on it every 2-3 bites of a slice. The 3 cheese pizza wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad either. I also know that they sell single slices which I kinda like! That way you won't have to go in for the entire pizza if you're on your own or can get it as a quick bite.

Pizza is a well-priced, delicious, light, crispy, thin, and the cheese and sauce taste quality. They just opened their arcade area (which includes a well stocked bar). Staff are delightful. They told us they'd call our number, but brought the pizza to us. One of the employees showed my 5 year old how to get the Ms Pac-Man game working (we didn't have to pay for the game!). Overall lovely place to grab a solid slice (or 2 or 3) of pizza and kid/family friendly to boot.

They never disappoint…read more Pistachio Cream & Fior de Latte Gelato: A truly delightful surprise at how they've given the classic pistachio flavor a fresh twist. The pistachio cream is richer and smoother than a regular pistachio gelto, and the fior de latte gelato is incredibly milky and creamy. Gianjuda Cream & Hazelnut Gelato: Almost the same flavor as the Ferrero Rocher chocolate. The Gianjuda chocolate cream was smooth and glossy, and the hazelnut gelato retained its and natural nutty flavor. While both are key ingredients in Ferrero Rocher, the precise proportions were amazing. Precious childhood memories! Interestingly, both gelato varieties are layered. The pistachio and Gianjuda cream aren't ice cream but rather toppings, which are stirred together when scooping. This creates more distinct layers but also makes the ice cream less consistent; achieving a smooth texture requires a certain stirring technique. I quite liked it at first sight. Mascarpone Fig: The mascarpone cheese released a creamy, smooth sweetness, like a soft blanket wrapping around the taste buds; small caramelized fig pieces add a touch of lively sweetness and a slightly chewy texture, much like the coconut jelly in milk tea, greatly enhancing the overall flavor. Lime & Basil: The top note was a refreshing and bright tartness of lime, followed by a crisp and distinct herbal spiciness of basil. It was also a pleasant surprise. P.S. I only realized after ordering that they have a new Hazelnut Sorbet; nut sorbet is quite novel, I'll try it next time!

I've heard folks raving about this place for years, so finally decided to swing by and try it out…read more First off, must say I'm a bit of a skeptic regarding specialty ice cream shops: with one exception (a now-defunct "frozen custard" shop in Friendswood, Texas of all places, where you could see the super-dense/rich stuff glacially oozing out of the machine, and one milkshake's worth of it kept me full for the rest of the day!) I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.

This is their policy and it's fine, just seems wasteful. This also makes it hard to try the unique flavors :( I wouldn't have had an issue (since it's their own policy) but the replacement portion was way smaller. I'm not sure if the staff was having a bad day or not, but it seemed like asking for a replacement flavor was purposefully made uncomfortable to deter you from asking? (P.S. Paying $6 for very little portions plus not having samples of flavors seems counterintuitive.) Also, Horchata is a rice based drink (with its main liquid being milk, water is also added though), so how can that be a vegan option? If they were able to actually have it taste like Horchata (with or without milk) that would've been fine, but it tasted like water + cinnamon. This was the flavor that brought me to this place so I was disappointed :( Overall, I might come back for the Cold Brew and Brown Sugar Vanilla flavors when I want a sweet treat (there are other sweet places for a better price and experience). But the fact that I ended up liking two of the most basic flavors out of the whole menu disappoints me :/

B3: One of their signature flavors, named for its blend of brown butter, brown sugar, and brownie. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with the sweetness of the brown sugar and the nutty aroma of the brown butter blending harmoniously. Large chunks of brownie are interspersed throughout, their firm texture and slightly bitter dark chocolate contrasting beautifully with the ice cream, creating a layered effect. Deserving of the signature flavor! Earl Grey: Another signature flavor, but after tasting it for a while, I couldn't observe any tea flavor. I even wondered if the server had given me the wrong one The color didn't look like Earl Grey tea either. However, judging from the reviews, it probably does look like this. The milky flavor, though, was very rich. Burnt Caramel: It was my first time seeing "burnt caramel," which is essentially sugar caramelized to a higher temperature than caramel, resulting in a darker color and a richer, more intense bitterness. While I love bitterness, I felt it was a bit too much. Most importantly, the ice cream was noticeably stickier than the others, and the plastic scoop was too soft, making it difficult to scoop. Bourbon Street: Quite similar with B3, both using brown sugar and browned butter. However, the bourbon and praline made the overall flavor sweeter, lighter, and more in line with the classic creamy taste of ice cream. In other words, it was not as distinctive as the B3.

That was not the case at the North End location but in fairness it was Friday night and around the time people want dessert. The North End location had four lines from the counter to the door with the line out the door. They take cash only but while you wait you have plenty of time to decide on what you actually want to get. They have 10+ cannoli flavors plus many other pastries. We opted for a pistachio cannoli and a amaretto cannoli. The cannoli were twice the size of what I was anticipating so we split one on Friday and split the other on Saturday. Having enjoyed cannoli in Italy and éclairs in various places across Europe, I found these pastries to be overrated and not worth the wait--even if there had been no line and everything was half-price. The cannoli shells lacked the crispness I expected, and again, the filling was overwhelmingly sweet with what tasted like artificial ingredients. I honestly don't understand the hype. My guess is that much of it comes from social media influencers who may not have experienced similar pastries in Europe.
