Chicken fried rice, orange chicken and shrimp lobster sauce. With side of wings, and white rice.

My favorite place to go to for shrimp lobster sauce! I always also order wings and chicken fried rice. Great small family owned business.

Solid three stars. My server was very attentive and very polite. No complaints there. I ordered the "special combo" that came with garlic chicken, an egg roll, and fried rice. I also ordered a cup of hot and sour soup. The food is very, very Americanized. Expect that going in and you won't be disappointed, but if you want a more authentic experience, you're better off going somewhere else. The fried rice is almost brown due to the large amount of soy sauce used. I was pleased there were no carrots in the rice. A decent amount of egg and a very large portion of rice is served. The entree was decently solid given the environment. Nice cuts of broccoli were present. I ordered it "slightly spicier" than normal. It did not disappoint. Whenever my nose turns into a fire hydrant, I'm happy. The egg roll was a standard edition and certainly not outstanding. But I've had worse as well. Hot and sour soup was a little more hot than sour, but certainly a respectable effort. There was quite a few pork strands and lots of bamboo shoots. No mushrooms if that's your thing (I was happy there weren't any). There's duck sauce available on the table in a large squeeze bottle. Star deductions: 1.5 stars off for a dirty water glass. I've worked in a dishroom before and I know things get missed. It doesn't make it acceptable. Some kind of food particle was on the inside of the glass. The water isn't filtered either, so you get all kinds of Shakopee goodness. .5 star off for not having authentic hot mustard available. All in all, its a decent place to get some takeout if you want to support a local business. Had the dirty water glass not happened, I would have leaned towards a four.

If I could, I would suggest no corn starch. It adds nothing to the flavor and only thickens the soup...which should be fluid and not a thick bowl of gravy or similar. Lastly came the schewan chicken...a stir fry dish with red peppers, vegetables and some heat. I ordered a 4-star (0-5 scale). My dish arrived quickly and steaming hot. Unfortunately, the sauce was very sweet...no hot spice from the pepper. I could only eat about half of the schewan chicken before just needing to put down the fork. And while the soup was tasty, the heavy handed use of corn starch and I could only eat a few spoon fulls. All in all: a 5-star on service and great conversation with the nice older woman serving me...and a 2 for my meal. I am giving them an overall 3-star. Sorry, I truly support local family businesses, but I won't be back anytime soon.

I have been to Pho 83 a few times over the years, as early as 2015 - hard to believe it has been 11…read moreyears since my 1st visit! The latest visit was this past weekend for a later lunch after ValleyFair. Both of my boys were very excited when I told them we were getting pho for lunch instead of theme park food. I'm sure we will be making more stops here for lunch this summer since our family has season passes to ValleyFair. The service was fast and the staff were friendly & attentive. We were happy to get our food pretty quickly since we were all very hungry when we arrived. The pho broth was delicious! My kids shared the meatballs pho while I had the pho with tripe & tendons. We also got an order of the spring rolls - it was good overall, a little bit on the dry side. Recommend checking out this restaurant if you are looking for some good Vietnamese food in Shakopee area.

The soups did not have the authentic homemade flavor, it was more bland and tasted almost instant. Really sad the bun bo did not hit the spot. Pho was decent enough for kids to finish it but not my favorite. The beef was cut too thick it was hard to chew. The eggrolls were tiny. Hard to mess up viet coffee so that was good. The banh mi was flavorful but smaller than other places. Kids loved that they had sunny d here. Service was ok, they were great in the beginning but then ignored us after a while. Typical seating for Vietnamese restaurant. Sadly there are better viet places in the area, sucks cause this place has been here forever. The donut hole next door is amazing though so stop by there and grab a donut!

I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, and while it isn't a big place, it has a number of tables inside if you are inclined to eat in. The feeling isn't particularly warm inside in terms of atmosphere, but it's clean and open. The service was friendly and quick. I started with an order of egg rolls. There are three in an order which is good because the price is $6 which is maybe a bit higher than usual for an order of eggrolls, but they were hot, very crispy and the flavor was decent. Not the best I've had, but from some reviews I was expecting less flavor. It was pretty good but the great crunchiness was the winner and.bped them up a notch in my opinion. The sauce that came with them was great too....sweet but spicy. Zinged the tongue a bit and had a nice flavor. Not overpowering. The Spicy LoMein was my favorite. It was a little greasy, and I wished it had some vegetables in it, but it was flavorful and spicy, but not overwhelming. The chicken was a nice quality and not that questionable, chewy chicken that you can get places so that was a bonus! The last thing was the Chicken Fried Rice. While I thought I'd like this dish best, it lacked flavor. I read after ordering that the beef fried rice is best, so I will probably try that next time instead of the chicken. It isn't bad...great chicken, nice quality rice, plenty of scallions with some sprouts on top, but just lacked that flavor. If they could improve on that a little it would be a winner because the quality is there. So overall, I like this place. I would definitely get the Spicy LoMein again! The portions are generous so while the pricing may feel a little higher than some other places, I thought it was reasonable against the portions. I was happy I gave it a try and will be trying some new things next time :)
