Almost a single star. Sesame chicken has flavor. Zero vegetables. Zero. $15. Fried rice substitution? $8 upcharge. I get inflation but this seems crazy. Limited menu. Won't be back. read more

Thai Tempo - Sesame chicken. White rice. No veg. $15 Fried rice? $8 upcharge. - Delis Near Me - Shakopee, Minnesota

I am only basing my review on drunken noodles with chicken . It was not Thai drunken noodles , maybe some far version of them. It did not have much flavour very bland, noodles were dry and greasy , chicken was not very fresh and very minimal amount in it. Price was way too much for what I got . Service was friendly in person , place looks clean . They might have better Vietnamese dishes as it was mixture of Chinese , Thai, Vietnamese dishes . Definitely will not be going back for Thai dishes because drunken noodles were a far relative of what drunken noodle should taste like. I did end up adding chilli paste and it made it slightly better . Their chili paste does have good heat and tastes good. So it lifted this dish form 1 star to two stars . read more

Taste like instant noodle shit and this shit cost $26. Extra $8 for 4 pieces of tofu. The rice are leftover being microwaved. Not authentic but more disgusting at all, and definitely over priced. This business owner is crazy about money I guess. You can get a better food if you just buy traderjoe's thai food quick packages for less money. Not recommend and won't come again. read more

Just another average place that survives due to its location. The prices also seem to take advantage of its location...little competition is nearby. If this place was in Uptown or a trendier area of the Cities, it would not survive. The Pad Thai seems to be prepared cheaply. While the flavor was ok, very few of the traditional condiments/accompaniments were provided. No lime wedges, very few chopped peanuts and what seemed like a very meager amount of bean sprouts. Peanut sauce is provided, but it seems like an easy way out. I also ordered spring rolls and there was no hoisin sauce. Hard pass; won't be back. read more

*edited* I need to correct my review...The food here WAS very good...IN THE PAST. The spring rolls are still amazing. But our food last night was horrifically bland. Drunken noodles were dry and lacked flavor. I added Bachan's and it was better. (Back to original review)...Now for the bad, prices are high, and portions are very small on everything except the spring rolls. The staff is passively pleasant, but not friendly at all. One employee, I believe it was The owner or the manager, took our take out order, and When I paid with my credit card and selected the no tip button, she said"wow no tip?" Then proceeded to give us half full containers of food. Regrettably, we will definitely not be returning. The food used to be great...now it is below mediocre, and the service has followed suit. read more

Thai Tempo - Drunken noodles, yellow, curry, spring rolls - Delis Near Me - Shakopee, Minnesota

Worst pad Thai takeout I ever had in my life! Mushy noodles and terrible flavor. I also asked for medium spice and it wasn't spicy at all. They were also out of egg rolls and forgot to tell me until I checked my bag in the car and went back in, where they reimbursed me from my online order. Why are restaurants in Shakopee so terrible? read more

Okay food. Small portions and expensive for what you get. I have better recommendations in the area for Thai food.

"We do not have Spring Rolls until Spring or Summer!" said the woman who was chit-chatting to someone in the kitchen of Thai Tempo when I walked in and I was the only one ordering or waiting for food there. I asked why she was not covering up the 'Spring Rolls' entry on the menu, above the cash register, if this was the case. ( Blank look was my response. ) Wow. read more

Food: Yellow curry- generous portion, lots of flavor, a couple bamboo shoots... could have used a few more veggies for color and flavor Rice- generous portion Cream cheese Wontons- thin, kind of soggy but large portion Service: Awful!! The lady sat on her cell phone and acted inconvenienced when I walked in. It took several minutes for her to get up and help me. I ordered and then she returned to her seat to play on her phone. She looked up several minutes later when she noticed I was still at the counter to tell me it would be 15 minutes. There were also two very young children running behind the counter. Ambiance: The floor and tables were dirty. Very little decor. Condiments and silverware were sitting in bottles with containers all over the front counter where you pay. A condiment rack would look much better than the unorganized mess of items near where you pay (this isn't a self serve area). read more

Mind you this was $16..... and it was absolutely not worth it at all. Nice seating area and sweet lady at the register but sorry food was a no no for me. read more

My husband started working at Shutterfly and I had seen this place when we drove by previously. Since I had to drop something off around dinner time tonight, I thought I'd give it a try! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, and while it isn't a big place, it has a number of tables inside if you are inclined to eat in. The feeling isn't particularly warm inside in terms of atmosphere, but it's clean and open. The service was friendly and quick. I started with an order of egg rolls. There are three in an order which is good because the price is $6 which is maybe a bit higher than usual for an order of eggrolls, but they were hot, very crispy and the flavor was decent. Not the best I've had, but from some reviews I was expecting less flavor. It was pretty good but the great crunchiness was the winner and.bped them up a notch in my opinion. The sauce that came with them was great too....sweet but spicy. Zinged the tongue a bit and had a nice flavor. Not overpowering. The Spicy LoMein was my favorite. It was a little greasy, and I wished it had some vegetables in it, but it was flavorful and spicy, but not overwhelming. The chicken was a nice quality and not that questionable, chewy chicken that you can get places so that was a bonus! The last thing was the Chicken Fried Rice. While I thought I'd like this dish best, it lacked flavor. I read after ordering that the beef fried rice is best, so I will probably try that next time instead of the chicken. It isn't bad...great chicken, nice quality rice, plenty of scallions with some sprouts on top, but just lacked that flavor. If they could improve on that a little it would be a winner because the quality is there. So overall, I like this place. I would definitely get the Spicy LoMein again! The portions are generous so while the pricing may feel a little higher than some other places, I thought it was reasonable against the portions. I was happy I gave it a try and will be trying some new things next time :) read more

Shakopee has a whole lot to offer when it comes to entertainment but most people will agree there is a serious dearth of good food. Thank goodness there is now Thai tempo on the local food scene. A casual dining place that you'll remember for an amazing gastronomical experience . This is a perfect place for lunch when you're at work and you need something better than burger or fries. The brasstacks . ... Try the chicken drunken noodles then. Served fresh and got off the wok, has a distinct smokiness that I soooo love. Definitely a winner, also I tried out the egg-rolls which were average Will keep this review updated as I go there next time and try out their Thai curries \m/ read more

I'm not sure who they are fooling with their prices, not to mention the food. But this isn't the place to go if you're looking for really good Thai food OR good service!! The "spring rolls" -1/10 it was floppy. Hardly any noodles inside. 2 shrimp. Sliced in half, the lettuce was very wet and not crunchy at all. No other fresh herbs inside. The sauce was "ok" when I called to complain about a very soggy giant worm like spring roll; I was told I was lying, then a different lady with a very heavy accent hoy on the phone and started YELLING AT ME for telling her what a horrible spring roll it was. She said bring me the food and get your money back. And that's exactly what I did. Gave them back their soggy sad excuse of a spring roll. She then slapped down my money and flung the bag from the counter. Very unprofessional. Also very small place and slightly dirty. Tables. The garbage cans were over flowing. Oh and if you get egg rolls to go you get them in a brown paper bag. No container. Never seen any asian restaurant do this, EVER. 0/10 told everyone I know in the area to stay away. read more

the sticky rice was not real sticky rice so disappointed. It was just regular rice you buy in the store and somehow they got it to stick together. I ordered x-tra sticky rice and only one was real sticky rice. Disappointed. Next time I will do a smell test before I walk out of the Thai Tempo read more

We live right down the street and have gotten take out here a few times now. My husband loves the drunken noodles and always orders that. I've tried a few things and really like green shrimp curry. I will agree with the other reviews that it is pretty expensive for what you get and in comparison with other Thai restaurants. read more

Small portions for how much they charge. Paid $4 extra to have vegetables on our dishes and that was just a couple bok Choi leaves and some Thai basil. Definitely not worth $40 for two items. We didn't even order drinks or appetizers and that was my bill. Disappointed. read more

I would not recommend place. When I called to place an order for take-out, the person answering only said "hello." Take-out orders need to be paid for before they will even start cooking it. I've been to many other places and they never ask for credit card information before putting the order in. The portions were small for the price. The Thai green curry was way too spicy for me or my son to be able to eat. When ordering, I was not offered, mild, medium or hot. The receipt had a line for a tip. Why would I tip if I'm not allowed to eat inside? Get COVID-19 friendly. I've never been to this place and am disappointed all-around. read more

Good food. A tad greasy sometimes. But overall always great tasting and good service!

This rating is for the standard "Chinese" food we ordered (we didn't get Thai). We had orange chicken, fried rice, and cream cheese puffs. Chicken was so-so. Fried rice was bland, chunks of white rice still in it. Cheese puffs were 6 tiny puffs for $6. Thai doshes may be fantastic, but the Chinese dishes we got weren't great. read more

For the price I expected decent food, especially at a fast casual style place, but was disappointed at the salty and greasy food here. Would say stay away read more

They advertise $12 lunch specials. When you order one, they tell you that they can't make money on lunch specials so those are not available. So there you are, standing in line, feeling embarrassed if you walk out. So you order the "dinner priced" Red Curry with Chicken for $17.50. They have signs up all over the place that menu prices have increased. I would understand if they increased within reason. I will never be back. If you go, bring lots and lots of money. Everything is a HUGE up charge. It's too bad because I like supporting places like this. read more

Every time the older lady answers she's rude and insists that take out orders be paid over the phone...sorry lady but I'm on the road driving and can't reach for my card I'm talking on the Bluetooth. I ordered and chicken and shrimp pad Thai and was up charged $6 for adding 4 pieces of shrimp! Literally counted 4! I asked for no white onions and got hella white onions. I paid $35 for a pad Thai and 1 order of spring rolls. What a joke... I use to love this place but it's gotten pretty ridiculous I had to call the restaurant for someone to come up to ring up the pick up order too. read more

We ate their tonight for the first time. They offer mild curry to extra hot curry. It was amazing! We will definitely be back!!

I ordered the pad sew ew. Which was not bad however, for the prices it is not worth it. For a fast casual Thai spot, I think the menu is definitely pricey for what they offer. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. The owners are very wonderful people. Very friendly staff from Thailand. The food was good, felt a bit Americanized but I understand that (I'm Thai so my standards are likely different from most). But the concept of the store was nice. Half restaurant and half grocery. While the grocery section was not big, it had all your basic grocery needs... Noodles, sauces, seasonings, fresh vegetables, drinks, etc. prices were reasonable as well. Most people I saw just came here for take-out. I'd come here again the next time I'm in town. read more

Very disappointing. Website prices are not accurate. They are no longer offering lunch specials like their website states. They have no one to update the website and they do not tell people when calling in orders that they don't have lunch specials anymore. The noodles were mushy. No vegetables and my pad thai had two pieces of chicken. The sauce was like jelly. For $15.00 you should get a side and some veggies in your meal. Prices too high and the food was not very good. Will not be back read more

Walking into shop, the first thing you see in front of you is the menu board over the counter area, where orders are taken. I have only been here for dinner, so there was no food in the counter steam table. To the left is a small seating area for may 10-15 customers. The right side of the shop is a small grocery store. Typical of Asian grocery stores, there are aisles for noodles, rice, sauces/condiments, snacks, dry ingredients, and along the wall are banks of refrigerators and freezers with vegetables and other frozen foods. Their menu consists primarily of Thai dishes with a section of Laotian cuisine. The ordering process was easy, and the staff was very helpful, friendly, and willing to be flexible to make dishes work for their customers. Overall, I was generally satisfied with the quality of the foods -- in terms of ingredients, flavor and preparation, the dishes were all very good. Meats were lean, and food was cooked fresh. Bonus points for using more authentic ingredients such as gai lan (Chinese broccoli) in dishes like the pad see yew. Parking out front was plentiful, easy and convenient. read more

Cheap food, absolutely tasteless, no flavor and salt! VERY VERY pricy for a fast food style dining. Also, the quantity is too little for the price you pay($34 for two entrees). Very disappointed... please AVOID by all means! read more

The Pad Thai is delicious! Cream cheese wontons too. Can't wait to try the whole menu!

Ate here for years. $13 for tofu and bok choy in my fried rice and that's already $4 more than regular fried rice. Today 7/13/2020 i ordered the same thing and they charged me $26. I told them that it was previously $13 and I don't want it anymore and then she told me they already made it and I have to buy it. Did not even verify the price with me over the phone. It's crazy cause I'm a regular customer but they BLEW ME THIS TIME! NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR FOOD IS IT'S OVER PRICED AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHIT! YOU LOST AH CUSTOMER! read more

Very nice owners, pretty adequate Thai food. Don't bother with the fried rice (no flavor) or the Pad Thai (too much sauce). If you come here, it's all about the BEEF LOMEIN! Talk about amazing. What was lacking in pad Thai was made up for in the beef lomein. read more

Holy Cow!! Best egg rolls ever! She makes them fresh in the morning!! You must try this place!!

Sadly, I was really disappointed with this place. I really had my hopes up ! Thai food is my first love. My Pad Thai taste like it was made with Ketchup instead of Tamarind. Stopped here for lunch the other day and loved the egg rolls. I had the Pad Thai which was good too but the egg rolls were the best I've ever had.
