I am only basing my review on drunken noodles with chicken . It was not Thai drunken noodles , maybe some far version of them. It did not have much flavour very bland, noodles were dry and greasy , chicken was not very fresh and very minimal amount in it. Price was way too much for what I got . Service was friendly in person , place looks clean . They might have better Vietnamese dishes as it was mixture of Chinese , Thai, Vietnamese dishes . Definitely will not be going back for Thai dishes because drunken noodles were a far relative of what drunken noodle should taste like. I did end up adding chilli paste and it made it slightly better . Their chili paste does have good heat and tastes good. So it lifted this dish form 1 star to two stars . read more

Just another average place that survives due to its location. The prices also seem to take advantage of its location...little competition is nearby. If this place was in Uptown or a trendier area of the Cities, it would not survive. The Pad Thai seems to be prepared cheaply. While the flavor was ok, very few of the traditional condiments/accompaniments were provided. No lime wedges, very few chopped peanuts and what seemed like a very meager amount of bean sprouts. Ambiance: The floor and tables were dirty. Very little decor. Condiments and silverware were sitting in bottles with containers all over the front counter where you pay. My husband started working at Shutterfly and I had seen this place when we drove by previously. Since I had to drop something off around dinner time tonight, I thought I'd give it a try! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, and while it isn't a big place, it has a number of tables inside if you are inclined to eat in. The feeling isn't particularly warm inside in terms of atmosphere, but it's clean and open. The service was friendly and quick. I started with an order of egg rolls. There are three in an order which is good because the price is $6 which is maybe a bit higher than usual for an order of eggrolls, but they were hot, very crispy and the flavor was decent. Not the best I've had, but from some reviews I was expecting less flavor. It was pretty good but the great crunchiness was the winner and.bped them up a notch in my opinion. The sauce that came with them was great too....sweet but spicy. Zinged the tongue a bit and had a nice flavor. Not overpowering. The Spicy LoMein was my favorite. It was a little greasy, and I wished it had some vegetables in it, but it was flavorful and spicy, but not overwhelming. The chicken was a nice quality and not that questionable, chewy chicken that you can get places so that was a bonus! The last thing was the Chicken Fried Rice. While I thought I'd like this dish best, it lacked flavor. I read after ordering that the beef fried rice is best, so I will probably try that next time instead of the chicken. It isn't bad...great chicken, nice quality rice, plenty of scallions with some sprouts on top, but just lacked that flavor. If they could improve on that a little it would be a winner because the quality is there. So overall, I like this place. I would definitely get the Spicy LoMein again! The portions are generous so while the pricing may feel a little higher than some other places, I thought it was reasonable against the portions. The sauce was "ok" when I called to complain about a very soggy giant worm like spring roll; I was told I was lying, then a different lady with a very heavy accent hoy on the phone and started YELLING AT ME for telling her what a horrible spring roll it was. She said bring me the food and get your money back. And that's exactly what I did. Gave them back their soggy sad excuse of a spring roll. Shakopee has a whole lot to offer when it comes to entertainment but most people will agree there is a serious dearth of good food. Thank goodness there is now Thai tempo on the local food scene. A casual dining place that you'll remember for an amazing gastronomical experience . This is a perfect place for lunch when you're at work and you need something better than burger or fries. I would not recommend place. When I called to place an order for take-out, the person answering only said "hello." Take-out orders need to be paid for before they will even start cooking it. I've been to many other places and they never ask for credit card information before putting the order in. The portions were small for the price. The Thai green curry was way too spicy for me or my son to be able to eat. When ordering, I was not offered, mild, medium or hot. The receipt had a line for a tip. The market itself is a great array of Asian food that I love to buy and work into my own stuff and the food really is exceptional. Very friendly staff from Thailand. The food was good, felt a bit Americanized but I understand that (I'm Thai so my standards are likely different from most). But the concept of the store was nice. Half restaurant and half grocery. While the grocery section was not big, it had all your basic grocery needs... Walking into shop, the first thing you see in front of you is the menu board over the counter area, where orders are taken. I have only been here for dinner, so there was no food in the counter steam table. To the left is a small seating area for may 10-15 customers. The right side of the shop is a small grocery store. Typical of Asian grocery stores, there are aisles for noodles, rice, sauces/condiments, snacks, dry ingredients, and along the wall are banks of refrigerators and freezers with vegetables and other frozen foods. Their menu consists primarily of Thai dishes with a section of Laotian cuisine. The ordering process was easy, and the staff was very helpful, friendly, and willing to be flexible to make dishes work for their customers. Overall, I was generally satisfied with the quality of the foods -- in terms of ingredients, flavor and preparation, the dishes were all very good. Meats were lean, and food was cooked fresh. Bonus points for using more authentic ingredients such as gai lan (Chinese broccoli) in dishes like the pad see yew. Parking out front was plentiful, easy and convenient. read more
