We needed new rollers for an oversized, custom slider. After many frustrating Yelp replies from others ("sorry, we don't do repairs but we can replace your perfectly good door") I got a call-back from Dr. Slide Door. The technician (I'm sorry, I missed his name) was great! Friendly, knowledgeable, and 100% prepared with the appropriate parts and tools. Although the price was higher than I expected, the service was faultless! He installed new, stainless-steel rollers in place of the old, broken plastic ones and replaced rusted, broken screws on the frame. He also aligned the door, cleaned the track, and showed me the proper lubricant to keep things moving. He was also great with our two dear dogs, and they liked him just fine. We have an old, very heavy sliding glass door that was near impossible to open without some herculean effort. Called Dr. Slide-Door and they sent their best, Shay, to come and diagnose/fix my door. He assured me that it was fixable, gave me some options on the type of roller he would install and how long they should last (as long as I maintain them and keep the dog hair from tangling it up), and ensured that when he is done we will be able to open the door with just a finger. Took him about an hour to get it fixed and sure enough, only takes a finger and now I have to be extra careful I am not slamming the door shut. He cleaned the tracks, lubed everything and ensured everything was good to go before having me test it out. We are very pleased, definitely worth the cost. This is a terrible company that should be avoided at all costs. The people who work there are rude, condescending, and verbally combative. If you are lucky enough to get them on the phone for a quote, they will not follow up, they will give you incorrect information about how to send information, and will rudely deny work for no explanation. When asked a simple question of other vendors in the community that might be able to help after refusal, they will incredulously say they have been in the business for 15 years and they have never been asked this question. They will claim that they have no competitors and you should just google for someone else to do the work. I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this will avoid the company at all costs and find someone more experienced and customer service-oriented than this hack company. Following up on the response I got from Shay - I'm surprised that he did not deny that I was a client as he did for other negative reviews (feel free to look for yourself). Today we finally had our sliding glass door repaired. The size of our door is 9x4 feet wide and has been extremely difficult to open and close.
