Today I walked in to my store with broken front door glass, I didn't know who to call to fix it so I Google commercial glass and several shops came up. Our dual pane window consisted of both laminate and tinted glass and some glass vendors we contacted didn't know what to do with it, or know what kind of glass we had. Paul is simply GREAT!! My Husband and I own a small restaurant in the city of Orange near CHOC hospital and we were unfortunately broken into. Our front door was shattered and our lock was also jammed. It was a huge shock to us both and since this is our first business we were not sure where to turn to when it came to fixing our glass door. We turned to yelp and skipped the sponsored ads we were just looking for a good honest business. We called the number and explained what happened and were able to get Paul to come out within an hour! As soon and he arrived he was able to fix our lock right away and boarded up our door with plywood meanwhile we waited for the glass to arrive. Our door was broken on Friday and he was able to get a replacement in on Monday for a very reasonable price. When the replacement came it took no longer than 30 min and he even adjusted the door that was not broken to have a smoother close. Paul was super friendly and did an amazing job (even with the 3 digit whether)! Dealing with a break-in was definitely not something that was fun, but Paul made the process less painful. Glass issue solved!! The neighbors kid decided to throw a football through my parents window. So, I was in a rush to get the damage fixed.. PRONTO. So, I got on the horn and encountered several different companies. Many were closed on a Saturday afternoon, while others just couldn't keep their word. Found Paul with The Glass Fixer and was happy that I did. He was nice and informative. He worked to accommodate me the day I gave him a ring and we both had other engagements. Through all the questions and trying to fit each other in our schedules, everything came together later that afternoon. All the work was essentially done on site and, though it took about 2 hours, was seemingly speedy. No need to take the framing out to bring over or do any leg work like other places have asked. I never heard back, hence the one star. Since I never heard back, two days later I called Lauren at Fast Glass who I also found on Yelp. He answered my call and responded within two hours. I called Paul on a Saturday afternoon after throwing a rock through a patio window with my string trimmer. Paul is AMAZING! He came out that same day and took out the broken pane (in the dark by the time that he finished). He ordered the new glass and ensured that it would be a perfect match to our window. He inspected the new pane and saw a manufacturer defect prior to delivering the pane. Thanks guys! My house is in the historic district of Orange (built in 1924), and vandals just broke the nearly 100 year old front window with an egg (yup, an egg!) The original windows on old houses like these are "wavy" - they aren't flat glass, as they have wavy ripples in them, which you can easily see with the naked eye (especially when viewing light reflections in them). Paul from The Glass Fixer came out the same day I called the company, and was ready to fix my window that night. He first asked me if I wanted to keep it wavy as opposed to flat, especially since a wavy glass would match the top window above it (which is unusually wavy according to Paul) - A new flat window would pretty much stick out like a sore thumb next to a wavy one. I took an even closer look at the existing top window and saw the many ripples - I knew right away that I had to replace the broken window with the same type! The next day we were able to secure and repurpose a glass wavy window from a collector of old windows - luckily he lived in Orange and was able to drop it off at my house. Paul was able to meticulously install the new "old" window that second night, and he did it like an artist paints a canvas - it's an art! I just want to say think you to the people at The Glass Fixer. I'm happy. My home is happy. The only problem I have now, is that I've since noticed a few other windows at my house that were obviously replaced with flat glass some years ago... Who new glass repair was in such high demand? After about 10 calls to different companies that were not available for 3 or 4 days I found Paul. He came out the same day and measured and ordered the glass and came back as promised and installed it two days later as soon as it was ready. He was prompt professional and friendly. His price was excellent also. He had to do some custom work to make the old window grids usable and spent a lot of time to get it done right.
