Clothes were from like the 90s styles (which is too recent for retro and too old for cool). I didn't check out the upstairs mens, but I have a feeling it would have been more of the same. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the jewelry was reasonably priced ($1 bracelets) and somewhat interesting though I didn't buy anything. Lastly, the staff was unprofessional and their conversations with each other in front of customers was appalling. Let's just say save the locker room talk for the back room. He quickly gathered five pairs to try, knowing not only the size I said, but using his knowledge of his inventory that fit what I was asking for, even if I didn't directly ask it. Not only did Frank give me five pairs, but he actually put them in an order that would give me the best idea of what to look for in fit and feel. We quickly got down to two pair, and he explained the differences between the two, both short-term and long-term. There was zero pressure, zero pushing, just honest feedback. One pair was twice as much as the other, but he didn't push anything either way. (I went with the less expensive pair -- cheaper is not the right word, because they are excellent quality.) Not only that, he offered to have them hemmed right there on the spot. Within 45 minutes of walking in the door, not only did I have a new pair of jeans, but tailored and walked out the door with my new jeans. As for the jeans? They're great. I went with a pair that Brooklyn Denim made and I absolutely love them. Frank also made a profile for me and saved the info of the other pair that I liked in case I want to order those at a later date. Because I don't live in town, it's a great resource. I really can't recommend Brooklyn Denim enough.
