One star is only for the doctor's fast service. This place has terrible customer services, they just try to get me in and out as soon as possible with no smiles on their faces. People should realize that customer service is just as important as skills. When I tried to ask them more questions, they sounded annoyed and impatient. I thought since this place has been here for a while, they would be more people friendly, but boy was I wrong. I would never go back again (not even to fix my glasses that is kind of tight right now) because I do not want to see them again. I left very unhappy that day and did not want to argue with them. They take all types of medicade but when it comes to getting glasses for someone with hip/emblem health you cannot get free medicade glasses. Other then that sad factor I like this place and been going here since they opened. The eye doctor is great and is very help full. read more

I came here to get my annual eye and contact fit exam on a Saturday after they opened and there was no wait. My insurance was accepted without a problem; they even printed out my insurance benefits and showed me what was covered and what I would expect to pay out of pocket. I walked out 20 minutes later with my prescription, receipt of ordering a full year's supply of contacts, and two complimentary pairs of lenses to cover the possibility that my order might not arrive within the week. i came here a couple of years ago and decided to get contact lens for the first time. Dr. Tsai and his staff are really nice and accommodating. Since it was my first time trying on contact lens, he was very patient and lets me sit there and try them on until I'm comfortable with it. Let me tell you, I am not an easy patient when it comes to new things. It took me 3 hours (yeah, thats right) to insert those lens for the first time! During my visit there, I did not feel rushed at all!! I even came in 3 months after because I had an infection and Dr. Tsai did not charge me! (: I would recommend this doctor and I would continue to come regularly if I can afford it. Generally, their fee for a contact exam is around $120. Because I am a poor college student with out insurance I had to downgrade to another office which is not my best interest, but their fee was much muchh less. I wish I can proceed writing this review without giving any star at all. This place does not even deserve a single star. Terrible terrible terrible customer services. Very very very rude! Asked one simple question, the guy can't even answer properly and has a nasty attitude and tone. Immediately I had to cancel my sales with them. It is just unacceptable behavior. Overheard him telling an elderly woman not to ask him too many questions. How rude and unprofessional is that?!!! Please do not go to this place...do yourself favor! I hope you find this helpful. I had a great experience, everyone was super helpful from start to finish, the associate in the front broke down what my insurance is covering and what I would be responsible for,my contacts was ready within two weeks and I got a tester pair which I wasn't expecting, but definitely help to transition into going from glasses to contacts I will be returning for future eye exams read more

Terrible customer service 4 of my closest family/friends all told me to avoid this place. I literally live a block away but I would not come here due to what I heard. My friend D says they are very judgmental and you feel uncomfortable being there. Customer service sucks. My Bff K says they gave her the wrong prescriptions and kept telling her it was fine ... they tried to make her buy contacts but luckily she went to another optometrist who agreed with her and she never went back. Hello!! If someone is telling you they cant see ... you should redo and recheck. My cousin J had the worst experience ... my quiet, future doctor cousin had a full out argument ... they lost her insurance and ssn information. The guy asked her who took her info. She forgot the man's name but described him. The asshole says "I cant give out names". "YOU FREAKIN ASKED ME WHO I SPOKE TO. I didnt ask YOU for his name." So my cousin not comfortable with her information lost to who knows might have it ... they then tell her they shredded it and threw it away. A quick solution to assure her that her documents were shredded but yet you just said you lost it. So now my cousin is irritated and they give her an attitude when first off YOU said you lost her info. No customer service. My sis in law went to get her eyes checked not knowing what the others went thru. I asked her how was it. She said she was given certain options of glasses but she was asking if theyre might be any cheaper ones she can purchase since shes on budget (just bought a new place). The guy told her the reason why she can't afford expensive pair of glasses is because she spends too much. She had to tell him off like you dont fukin know me. I dont live with my parents and have privilege to spend money wherever I like. Jerk (old asian guy with glasses) had the nerve to say "oh you dont live with your parents?" Really? Is that any of your business?? She didnt need to defend herself. Shes not there to be judged. This is where I believe my 1st friend said theyre judgemental. But what customer service is that to tell someone they cant afford such and such? They dont cover her insurance so wtf? The positive thing about this place is the woman optometrist. I have been here for quite awhile. Six years in fact. The doctor himself is very nice and patient. I have special contacts I order every other year from this place. The service is friendly. I always got free contact solution when I buy a free boxes in advance. Every year I come back to a quick eye exam. They take most insurance but I change insurance every year and I haven't updated them . I'm sure they cost some money but he never charged me. Great place! read more

This place should really be out of business. Shoddy work and horrible customer service. I ordered a pair of glasses with progressive lenses. It took several days longer to get them than was promised (probably because he sends his orders to China) and I couldn't use them anyway because they didn't line up properly. He also tried to get me to pay in cash - so shady. A good optometrist would have told me that the frames I chose were not right for progressive lenses. I ended up ordering a new pair from Costco and I went in to see if he would adjust them for me. He said it would cost $25 - a service that many places do for free as a customer courtesy. When I tried to negotiate down, he and his nasty little helper got very rude with me. I paid him several hundred dollars for glasses I couldn't even use and he wouldn't adjust my other glasses for free or a small fee. read more

I was referred by a friend to the office. The Doctor was kind of serious but very experienced. He gave me a thorough exam and explained everything clearly. The sales people there are nice and patient. They got a lot of frame selections. The glasses I got there is perfect, it's clear and comfortable. My lens power is very heavy and I had a bad experience in Cohen (spend a lot of money for something I can't use). I wish I could come to the place early. read more

I went to this doctor twice, ordered ACUVUE® OASYS® for ASTIGMATISM for 1 year supply for both visits. The major reason I went there was because I need to order contact lenses (obviously), and I got free eye exam for each time. I went to other doctor before and got free eye exam as well. This time I found coupon online for a much cheaper price for contact lenses. Therefore, I called this doctor office and asked them for the price for eye exam for contact. As the information they posted online, "Eye Exam for Glasses - No Insurance $30.00; Eye Exam for Contacts - No Insurance" they charged $30 for eye exam for no insurance. I asked them on the phone if they accept my insurance and they said yes, no charge for the eye exam and they told me to go to the office for eye exam. When I arrived the office the younger receptionist (or whatever he is) asked me if I have been there before and I said yes, they pulled out my file and asked me exactly what I need. And yes before he saw my file he said it's free and the eye exam is covered by my insurance. However, when he found my file and found out I used to order contact lenses form them, his attitude totally changed. He said the eye exam for contact is $130, it's not covered by insurance. I gave him the ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS face and then the older receptionist said ""We will give you a trio after the eye exam" hell yea what kind of lenses will you give me for $130?! This is not was I was told before he pulled out my freaking file. They told me it's free, the eye exam is covered by my insurance!!! So I said no and thank you to this nasty receptionist. I AM NOT GOING BACK AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE. IF THE EYE EXAM COSTS $130 THEY SHOULD HAVE UPDATED THE INFORMATION ONLINE AND INFORM ME WHEN I ASKED THEM ON THE PHONE. I highly suggest not getting your eyes checked here if you're looking to receive quality service from an optometrist who actually cares about his/her patients. I decided to get my eyes checked one weekend since the place was located near my apartment. Should have trusted my gut a bit more when I walked into the place because the man working at the front desk was rudely speaking to an elderly couple who was there getting their eyes checked as well. I think the only pro here was that the wait was fairly short. Anyway, not sure why this was the case, but the man working at the front desk pretty much yelled at me when explaining my insurance coverage for some reason. Also, he didn't bother to sanitize any of the eye pressure equipment that he used. The optometrist was a woman who literally spent about three minutes checking my eyes. She was very rushed throughout the whole process, and probably changed the lens about five times to figure out what my new vision was. At the end, I couldn't read any of the letters on the other side of the wall. She changed the lens once again, and after I could read a few of the letters, she decided that my checkup was over and declared that my eyesight stayed the same, even though I'm pretty sure it got significantly worse over the past year. Wish the story ended here, but no. Another older man "helped" me once I was done with the checkup. When looking for frames, I mentioned that I preferred a pair of frames that my insurance would cover. The moment I mentioned that, he said loudly, "what? You don't want to pay more?! Ok, then you can only choose from these then!" I mean, yea, I know that I'll only have a number of frames to choose from if I have a budget, but the older man was pretty rude about it. I won't be coming back to this place again, but it really sucks for the elderly patients who have limited optometrists to choose from and who might not have an outlet like yelp to voice their dissatisfaction. read more

Worst customer service! I came here to get an eye exam for my contact lenses and told them i only wanted a months supply since i am planning to get lasik surgery in a few months and i only use contact lenses occasionally. This guy keeps insisting for me to get 3 months supply because the brand that they wanted me to get only comes in 3 months supply per box even when i told him numerous times that i would not need it and it would be a waste of money. He was rude and did not give me any other possible choices (different brands that is packaged for 1 month supply) and just kept on arguing with me. One of the worker overheard us and showed me a brand with a 1 month supply boxes. At this point, i was very upset, approached the doctor and told him how rude and unprofessional his employee was. After that incident i decided never to go back there again and decided to get my contacts online since i already had my test done. To my surprise, when they called their clinic to verify my prescription DR. TSAI'S OFFICE DENIED THAT I WAS THEIR PATIENT, and to note that i purchased 2 eyeglasses this summer and spent over $400 in one of my eyeglasses. Very unprofessional! a read more
