I don't like leaving bad reviews but sometimes it's a need to help others decide better…read more I had some hearing issues last year. After getting referred here by my pcp and was told my one ear was completely plugged. Dr Lee may or may not be the one seeing you as his PA Au does majority of the "simple" stuff while Dr Lee us doing the bigger and perhaps surgery etc. Let me say I been here Multiple times within a 7 month period and seen Dr Lee maybe twice. Not knowing anything and a little worried I agree to mostly whatever they recommend as I'm trusting them as professionals. 1st visit was consultation and send home to take antibiotic ear drops. 2nd visit, wax removal using micro vac. PA au and another apprentice did work on me. After I felt better but later that night loud ringing and bad bad vertigo symptoms. Went really bad for months with constant spinning feeling, nausea even when laying down. 3rd visit issues I'm having with the vertigo (my research indicated my sensitivity to the noise from the vac sucking). Get sent to do a MRI. 4th visit, results and get send scheduled for more testing. 5th visit, balance and heading test 6th visit, only getting told results from previous visit. 7th visit check up and cleaning again. BTW each visit is a "specialist" copay charge. They make you come in for a appt to tell you your results! Yeah with my constant visits i didn't know about and the huge bill afterwards. Balance test was a joke that cost couple hundred almost a grand all to tell me I have balance issues, yes I know that's what you're there to help me figure out. But only said you got balance issues from the test and to try these at home maneuvers.

This "doctor" will not care or listen to your concerns. His assistant Larry is the best and his…read moreonly saving grace. After the first visit I was like oh maybe it was just a bad day. But no, this dude is a literal f****** asshole. He hovers by the door and you can tell he just wants to get out as soon as possible. FIRST VISIT: He seems to enjoy you being in pain. I just wanted to know if it was safe to use vaseline or another special ointment in my nose for a cut but he was like "i need to cauterize it". I was like that bad? Only for me to find out AFTER it was just large blood vessels he was not a fan of. The cauterization of the nose process was so painful but he just kept going and did not even warn me that it was going to be so painful. He didnt even tell me how to take care of it after! Guess why? Guy was standing by the door telling me to get out ASAP. He didnt even look at where the cut was or address it. SECOND VISIT: I went in for my throat but he takes out the equipment to check my ears and nose just to include it in my bill?? My dentist said he felt a hard lump in my throat and to get it checked out. I tell him this and he just looks inside and shrugs his shoulders saying he doesnt see anything. I HAD TO TELL HIM TO FEEL FOR IT. Only then is he like oh maybe get a CT scan. Like hello? You tell me, am i the doctor here? So dismissive and so unprofessional. I ain't paying a dime to this loser.

I had the strangest thing happen to me last year…read more........... I had just come back from a trip from Maui last November, and when I was in my office the following day doing some paperwork........... All of a sudden it felt like someone turned off the volume in my right ear..........or like I had "water in my ear". After a few days, my hearing didn't go back to normal, so I went & visited my regular doctor. My regular doc checked my ears, & offered to send me to an Ears Nose Throat = (ENT) doc., but at that time I really thought my hearing would clear, so I declined. After this went on for about a month, I realized I maybe in trouble, and went back to my doc & took up the offer to see a ENT doc. This is where Dr. Alfred Lui comes into the picture............. Let me tell you something about Dr. Lui, he is a very knowledgeable doctor, kind, caring, & very personable. After seeing me, he sent me to an Audiologist where they gave me a hearing test............ Results: Left ear 100%, Right ear 60%!!!! Whaaaaaaaat????? You mean I lost 40% of my hearing in my right ear??? AIYAH!!!! How can be????? So Dr. Lui breaks it down for me............ he tells me - 1/3, 1/3, & 1/3 in restoring my hearing, and I will tell you later on what he did to me as far as treatment.......... So it goes...........the first 1/3, if I had seen him within 10 days of my hearing loss, "garans ball-barans" he would have restored my hearing 100%. As time passes............the longer is goes without it being treated, the second 1/3 is that I would have some of my hearing restored, but not all. And finally the last 1/3, is that you would be $hit outta luck, and be permanently deaf in that ear. Treatment - So this is what Dr. Lui prescribes to me............. He tells me I will have to do surgery, where he will stick a needle in my ear & shoot a Mega-Dose of steroids into my ear (3 separate times)! Then he tells me that I would need to take oral steroids for two weeks on top of that. I was okay about taking the oral steroids, but having a needle shoved into my ear.........I kinda cringed about that, but sometimes you hafta do what cha' gotta do, no? Of course I have to give myself the best chance of restoring my hearing, so I did "man up", & took the hit in my ear! The Aftermath of the Treatment - After I took the last shot in the ear, I had to take an MRI to see what was going on in my head. Then two weeks later I found myself in the doc's office for a follow up. I took another hearing test, then when I went in for a consultation with Dr. Lui. The results............. MRI was okay..........nothing growing in my head. And if you remembered what Dr. Lui said earlier about the - "1/3, 1/3, & 1/3"? Well, I fell in the last "1/3" meaning I was just $hit outta luck after the treatment..........upon taking the hearing test again, my right ear was still at 60%! Shucks! Well, everything happens for a reason.........sometimes no can help, just gotta roll with it. I can still hear conversation on the right side, but not as good as before. Dr. Lui said I didn't need a hearing aid, but at some point as I get older, there is a possibility that I will need a hearing aid as when you get older, sometimes your hearing will naturally get worst as you age. Unfortunately hearing aids are not covered by insurance, and Dr. Lui mention the best hearing aid out right now involved surgery where they implant something behind the ear & the cost was $10,000.00! YIKES! Hopefully technology will get better, and I am hoping the cost will drop by the time I will need a hearing aid, but until then............ If you talk to Bruddah Fran, "garans ball-barens" if you talk to me on da left side..........I gonna catch everything you say. If you talk to me on my right side.........'eh, I might catch 1/2 of what you say, depending on the ambient noise around the conversation. Aiyah! Lol!

I was…read morereferred to the clinic and I emphatically recommend Jenkins Eye Clinic and Dr. Nikpoor. The vision in my right eye began diminishing nearly two years ago. At first it felt like I was seeing the world through plastic wrap smeared with bacon grease; over time it worsened into what seemed like wrinkled paper. I was scared I might lose sight in that eye. I had to depend solely on my left eye and felt unsafe driving at night because headlights became blinding spotlights. At Jenkins Eye Clinic I learned I had cataracts in both eyes. The staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, accommodating, and compassionate. I was a little devastated at first -- I thought I was too young -- but Dr. Nikpoor put me at ease. She explained what to expect before and after the procedure, answered all my questions about vision outcomes, pain, downtime, and cost, and helped me schedule bilateral cataract surgery for early April. My procedure was scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and I was out by 9:30 a.m. Tears of joy escaped my eyes when I realized I could see through my right eye again. The vision felt different -- somehow better. Colors, especially blue, are deeper and more vivid; whites are more brilliant. I can now safely drive at night without fear. I am grateful to Dr. Nikpoor, the staff at Jenkins Eye Clinic, and the team at The Surgical Suites.

Of the five senses, which one is considered the most important?…read more If you answered, "sight", Google would agree with you! Our vision helps us to interact with our world... and with others. We learn, play sports, watch movies, read, enjoy sunsets and fireworks, etc. through our eyes. What would we do without them? I first visited Jenkins Eye Care in 2000 and had LASIK surgery. The best result was getting rid of contact lenses! That one inconvenience was gone from my daily routine! What a relief! Recently, my optometrist noticed that I had the beginnings of cataracts. So many people advised me to get the surgery as soon as possible, so... Okay... I went for the exam/consultation and now am waiting to schedule the surgery. It's such a popular procedure that the office is backed up for months! I'm looking forward to interacting with the professional, patient, and pleasant staff again! I think I met six different people who helped me navigate the system! They were all kind and thorough! I highly recommend Jenkins Eye Care. They're very experienced and have an excellent reputation!
