I was skeptical when I walked in, I had never really had too many alcoholic slushees and wondered how good the food quality would be. There were so many flavors to choose from, so we did the flight and each tried 3 kinds. They did not disappoint! They are strong but taste amazing and the variety of flavors means they are bound to have something everyone will like. We got the boneless wings and fries ( with queso and pork ends) and I could have those all day! The chicken is clearly fresh and the light crispy crunch made them even better. wow incredibly delicious food. we ordered takeout over the phone from the knowledgeable and helpful staff who were able to recommend some great eats. the food we got was so creatively flavored and the textures and overall impression was amazing and perfect. i never would have thought of most of this. located right near the main street of a small town, and named after the owners' pet dachshunds, this definitely brings people here for good reason. i'd like to try the special slushes someday. read more

Guy working was beyond friendly. Went to the antique store and he was cleaning everything outside, I mean spotless. Kinda lured us in. Go inside and it was even cleaner. My friends and I went into Doxie Slush pretty hungry after a tasting at Stone Hill. I was a bit hesitant because I'm a picky vegetarian. I needn't have been. Doxie Slush's food is on point and they have plenty of vegetarian options and will customize food for you. And it's GOOD. I may remember those cheddar grits for the rest of my life. My companions enjoyed their nachos and sandwiches. Flights are $15 for 3 7-ounce pours. We split two flights. Each was garnished with fruit or mint. That's a good way to sample. To you people reviewing about not being able to try before you buy... That's why you buy a flight, and you're probably not there alone, so... Play it safe and get things with known happy flavors or take a risk or everyone in your group pick one after trying all. I've never been to a brewery where people sampled before buying a flight. Decor evokes water without being nautical or trying too hard. To the reviewer who called this a rip-off of Narwahls in St. Louis, and to other provincials: 1) LOL. Please realize Narwahls is one of many frozen drink bars and is far from the first. There are at least 3 others in StL. Hermann can have one. 2) The decor and theme are different. 3) If you must compare, Doxie Slush is superior as they serve delicious food whereas Narwahls is just a yummy frozen watering hole. 4) The world does not revolve around St. Louis. And St. Louis does not revolve around SLU culture. Be worldly and cultured. 5) There are few "original" ideas and execution is worth more than originality. 6) Hermann is a different city over an hour from St. Louis, so why not assume good intent if you're going to delude yourself into thinking Narwahls inspired the daiquiri bar? Why make it a bad thing? Great place. Staff really cared about our experience and they seem so happy working there. I will be back next time I'm in Hermann. Mmm, those grits. Came for the first time with friends. The drinks were very tasty and delicious. The food was amazing. I had the fish and chips and it was sooooooo good. Not greasy and hearty. My friend got the nachos and they were delicious and had tons of flavor. My other friend had the wings and the Beignets. The wings were okay. Not our favorite but the Beignet were delicious. Awesome place. We got slushy flights and appetizers. All the food was seriously amazing, boneless chicken wings, snapper, beef nachos, shrimp. All thoughtfully created and far more gourmet than what we expected. Slushy flights were interesting and a nice way to break up the wineries and breweries. This place is AMAZING!! We were staying at the Captain Wohlt Inn on a Wednesday night and we have a dog ... not many places open midweek but our host suggested this place as we could sit outside. We had our reservations but man were we pleasantly surprised! The drinks are very tasty and the fish and chips... wow! Saw this spot on Facebook and was really excited to try it. 3 people in my group ordered flights. My friend was told they were unable to sample any flavors, and ended up hating one of his choices (Blue Hawaiian). We all tried it and agreed it is disgusting. Said friend spent $40 on the flight and a $20 burger. When a member of the staff came by, I let them know that he hated one selection and asked if they would swap it out. They refused. I will not return based on the fact that this is horrible customer service and they refuse to replace one 7 ounce pour to gain a repeat customer. If you come and get a drink, make sure you like what you get because they will not let you swap it for something you actually like. read more

What an amazing option for the Herman area! This is not your average slush bar. The flavors impressive and complex. The ingredients are fresh with quality liquors. Just when you think your shush choice was perfect.....then your food comes. We shared the lobster and cheese sandwich (with tomato bisque) and the steak nachos. No way at all your typical bar fare. The tomato bisque was so good that I was dipping the home made nacho chips in it! Definitely a very bold and unique option for the Herman area! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it lacks a little "relax and stay" vibe. When the place gets moderately filled, the noise level goes up and you have to really navigate the crowd to utilize the bathrooms. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and more than willing to test your flavor choices with their available menu. If you have the time, buck the wine trend and give them a visit. We came for the fun drinks but I was pleasantly surprised by good food too. I had the French fries with queso and pork belly and it was so good! This unique fun place had it all. Delicious food, awesome drinks, ambiance, and great service. Joel was extremely helpful in picking out slushy flavors and food. He was also attentive in refilling waters and taking a picture of our group. The dishes we had were shrimp enchiladas, crab mac n cheese, chicken sandwich and fries, and the pork belly fried rice. The Chef did amazing, they were all high quality, hot and delicious. We split the small flight of three slushies and had the bad santa and candy cane colada which were also delicious. I cannot condone this business for a few reasons. Ok. The food is expensive for something I could pop in the microwave. Fried everything, with nothing for flavor. The actual fries were not warm. The service... oy! It was awful. We felt like an annoyance. The beverages (not good) took a long time. 15/10!!!! AMAZED at this gem in Hermann!!! My family stopped for a late night bite and some drinks, and it turned into a several hour affair with lots of drinks and slushies to go. We were blown away by the quality of the wings (we got 2lbs to share) and the sauces!! Unique flavors, thoughtfully put together. Their habanero boneless wings are to die for! We also loved the pineapple teriyaki. We had several flights of the slushies (an awesome value, GET THE FLIGHT) and our favorites were the peach tea mint and the dragon fruit paloma. Coastal food & slushes, all original recipes and delicious. My favorites currently are the surf and turf burger & fries (be sure to get a side of his tequila cheese sauce for them) and the melon mojito and classic margarita slushes. Its one of my favorite spots after work and ive tried all the slushes and have yet to be disappointed. He keeps 12 always but adds and removes flavors from time to time. They also keep 1 non-alcoholic flavor for those who don't indulge and children. They are the only place that has one of my favorite beers in stock always the Dogfish Head Sequench. I see families in frequently and the children enjoy the bright atmosphere and the colorful block lights in front of their benches. A great addition to a unique town dont miss this one. read more
