Far and away the best social. Gathering. In. Southwest Florida. Great. Atmosphere. Amazing. Conversation. With a friendly staff. And almost. Feels like a Time Machine.

This historic train station is a unique building that has such a distinctive feel for this Kava bar. Great service selection and knowledgeable friendly staff. They will educate you on the menu choices and medicinal properties of each. I liked the colada beverage very much. The open mic live music was really good on this Friday night. It's a treat to visit this place and explore kava.

Amazing cappuccino! Stopped in with friends, and asked the server for a recommendation on a coffee with something cinnamon-I got the tastiest cappuccino ever! Not knowing about Kava, he was also willing to share a mini education on what it's all about. We will definitely return.

I've seen this place a thousand times. I finally came in to see what it's all about. This was an Atlantic Coast Line Depot in 1928 and shows the times by having segregated entrances for "whites and colored" people. This historic station has been preserved and turned into a coffee/tea speakeasy. It is a nice combination of the modern and the past. The guy behind the bar was very friendly, patient and informative. He helped me choose a drink that was Kava forward yet tropically delicious with coconut , pineapple and fruity with lemonade it was called Yacht Rock ,YUM! Not only did I enjoy the drink but it seemed to lift my energy level and reduce the shoulder pain I was having. Come check this place out.

This place WAS 5 stars in my eyes. Great atmosphere, live music and great drinks. Until I went to the bathroom. I get that it's a historical building, but you can't take the segregated bathroom signs down? It's a shame.

Had a delicious Latte and the staff were very friendly. Love the coziness of the establishment. Perfect ambiance for studying, working or hanging by the bar and chatting with the baristas. Overall, I had a great time! Also seats are very comfortable and there are long tables ( with outlets that pop up) , couches or smaller tables. Bathrooms were clean as well! Fast internet, password at the front! Enjoy the drive too, burn store road all the way north from cape coral.

Such a cute spot! Was visiting from Tampa and I so wish this was in Tampa! Plentyyyy of seating so this would be a great study spot, or place to just hang out with friends. I'm sure they have plenty of great events here. I ordered a specialty kava (the orange one) and it was very good, if not a tad expensive. Service was good and great effort was made to ensure our party was 21+, thanks for that Florida!

Best kava bar in town and a true Gem. From the friendly staff to the awesome drinks I always recommend this kava bar in particular. The atmosphere in the building is like taking a step back in time with a modern twist.

Ok! I got dressed up and walked over there. My table was ready on time; it was in the lounge area of the restaurant. They offered me the table or said I could sit at the bar. I opted to sit at the bar. The bar was almost full but people were leaving. Apparently people eat early there. The bartender was swamped but smiled and got me a glass of water. Soon I had menus. I like that they have a regular menu as well as a specials menu, including the usual cocktails and some special cocktails. I ordered the conquest, which seemed like a twist on an old fashioned. They offered bread or focaccia bread, I declined. And heads up- bread service is not included. It's an up charge. Normally I don't care but I was having dessert, not bread. I had the halibut special. It was phenomenal. One of the guys from the kitchen dropped it off and asked if I needed anything'- I replied salt. I find that I need salt often at restaurants. They brought the salt out real fast! I had a bite and determined it didn't need any more salt- it was perfectly salted! Woohoo! Fantastic. I ate my whole dish and then I savored my cocktail. The bartender wasn't much for conversation , as she was very busy, alone, covering the entire bar and drinks for the whole restaurant. She did invite me to try dessert, and mentioned a coconut cream cake that was not on the menu. I agreed to it and it was heavenly. Seemed like cheesecake icing with fluffy layers of cake and subtle coconut flakes throughout. The chocolate ice cream was weird at first but then I realized it's like almond joy/ mounds - coconut and chocolate are often paired. The espresso crumble gave it a nice crunch and there was caramel all over the plate. Wow! I took the majority of the cake home. It was a large portion and indulgent. I paid my tab and finished my drink. I was not rushed. I would go back again. It's a bit pricey. The fish special was $58. The cocktail was $17 and the dessert was $16. So one person, who did not add on the bread service, was $91. It's expensive. I would emphasize you can probably get a seat at the bar if you can't get a reservation. Also- the entrance is hard to find. It's in the parking lot and not facing the main road. I got a little lost walking there. The signage is poor. I can't imagine going there the first time in the dark. So give yourself a couple extra minutes if it's your first time going there.

There was 3 booths and two large tables, and everyone was comfortable, and the conversations commenced. It is always a special place for our Charlotte County Girlfriends, Wednesday group. Food, ambiance and atmosphere top notch! We will be back for lunch, again very soon!

The dining areas are on the main floor with also an outdoor patio and a small upstairs area. What I love about this restaurant is you can see the cooks making your entrees. This is really appealing when you view your pizza in their wood fire oven. We tried their meatball appetizer which was a chef special, and you see from my picture there were three meatballs in a tasty red sauce topped with mozzarella and a fresh basil leaf. It was a great addition to our meal. I also recommend the Semplice salad and grilled salmon which is a good size portion with arugula and lettuce topped with carrots, radicchio and layered with shaved Parmesan cheese. Don't expect dressing as they serve olive oil and balsamic vinegar at your table. Another favorite dish is the cod filet sautéed with capers, onions, and olives which is served with potatoes and broccoli. If you're in the Sarasota area and want a clean and delicious Italian dinner Napule is a great choice.

The charcuterie was better but tough to mess this up. I had the Quattro pizza. It was super soft and really not that great, super floppy and just ok. The soup was meh. Friends had pasta and said it was pretty good. We had a group that hasn't seen each other in over a year. Being a server is hard but you have to understand when to break in and when not too. Ours was nice but always seemed to be interrupting a story. I get it, but this is an art. I just don't see us going back, there are so many better places.

We grabbed reservations for the outdoor area to enjoy the weather and were thankful for the shady tree cover. This time we opted for some bites and though the menus change seasonally, I would recommend anything featuring tomatoes. They use truly fantastic heirloom tomatoes that remind you what you're missing with the watery ones we get at the grocery store. Also recommend the Mediterranean Platter. It's full of veggies and the dips are YUM. As usual, the cocktails didn't disappoint. It's never a weekend in AMI without a visit here! Previous Review: 5 Stars for the best cocktails on AMI, and a craft cocktail bar vibe you wouldn't necessarily expect here. (Plus, the service is AMAZING) We walked in (no reservation) after dinner one weekend evening and we were greeted by Matt, who found us a spot at the bar. He gave us menus and a "wellness shot" -- delicious little concoction to wet your palate! Right away I was blown away by the interior and the menu. This looked like it belonged somewhere in Denver or Chicago, but I was thrilled to find it on the island! Matt helped guide us to drinks we'd like on the menu. I ordered the Purgatory, made up of Bourbon, chocolate bitters, agave and premium mezcal. It was divine!! We also ordered some warmed olives, and they were hot and so fragrant. Definitely something I'd order again at the bar. I was stoked to see they have a veggie-specific section on the food menu and can't wait to go back for dinner. I'll definitely make a reservation though, as it was pretty full. Next time, in terms of drinks, I have my eyes on the espresso martini (off menu, but saw a pic on Yelp), and the kiss kiss bang bang. Thanks to Matt and Emily who helped us with our drinks along the way. Sometimes these fabulous craft bars can be pretentious, but the service here was a huge standout. Can't wait to return!

I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.
