The Perfect Caper truly lives up to its name! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Grace. Although we didn't have a reservation, she graciously invited us to sit at the bar, which turns out to be a fantastic vantage point. Our server Jacob was exceptional - he took the time to explain the menu and after learning it was our first visit, told us "Welcome to your new favorite restaurant". He was spot on; this is officially our new go-to-spot. Between the stellar service, extensive menu, and gorgeous food presentation, it is clear this kitchen has it going on. We loved hearing Jacob speak so highly of the owner and her impressive accolades on Food Network. We even looked it up, she is amazing. It is clear why the quality is so high here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for your next dining choice.

The entire visit was an experience in itself! From the moment we entered till the moment we left, the service was spectacular, and the food was amazing. We were a table of six on our waiter was extremely informative and helpful as we chose our wine. Service was at a relaxed pace, but on perfect for the food type. We ordered the calamari as well as the spicy mussels (I can't remember the actual title, but they are the house specialty) and both were fantastic Everyone at the table other than me ordered the Duck a deux and I had the miso salmon. The food came out at the same time and you could tell that it was good because no one was talking, just eating and sighing with delight. I truly thought I was too full for dessert, but it turned out. I had just enough room for the pistachio financier, which was a special for the evening and it was beyond delicious. Everyone else ordered the crème brûlée and was satisfied, but I can honestly say I was glad I chose the cake! I would definitely return to this restaurant to order other items on the menu. I want to try it all!

WOW! What a hidden gem. My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant on a weekend getaway to the Sunseeker resort. My husband wanted to get away from the resort and try out some local spots and we are SO glad we did. We sat at the bar which was an incredible experience chatting it up with the staff and watching the love they all pour into each drink, meal, etc. The teamwork on display was so cool to witness. The manager was right there with them making drinks, serving up meals, etc. We had no idea the Chef was famous and on Food Network! And from the taste of everything, you can absolutely tell. There's such care that went into each menu item. So many unique flavors. Everything was wonderful! I want to take a minute to brag on our bartender. She was the star of the show!! She immediately made drink and food recommendations, she was a true professional. She put in so much care to each drink she made and every customer that dined with her. We were shocked to hear she had only been there for 1.5 years because she was an expert. We will absolutely be back and will recommend this place to our family and friends who visit!!

The crabby scallops were truly amazing. The house made focaccia bread was a great touch and the expresso martini was perfection!

10/10.. great ambiance ..they were wonderful and super friendly staff, our waiter Zach was great. very knowledgeable of the menu and pairings of drinks vs meal options.. we had the calamari which was great! better with an extra side of sauce.. I chose the papradelli and mushrooms side of bread and my dad got the lamb rack. great experience! we finished with a chocolate cake which was very heavy and rich. can't wait to comeback!

We just celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary at this restaurant! The food was excellent!! The service extraordinary! Yvonne, our service was very personable and attentive! I had the 14oz strip and my wifey had the crabby scallops. We also had the sweet and spicy calamari! ( delicious) we brought home the crème brûlée. it was on the expensive side , however , well worth it!!

Excellent service and meal for a late lunch/early dinner! My friend is celiac and they had great options for her. She had a dish she she loved with shrimp and gluten free pasta. They even had a homemade gluten free roll. She says it tasted more like a biscuit but it was good. I had the filet with Bernaise sauce, whipped potatoes and green beans. It was cooked perfect! The focaccia bread they serve with olive oil and parm is excellent! My only disappointment was that I was so full I didn't have room for dessert!

The food is delicious, the service attentive and pleasant. However the restaurant is very loud because of the bar. Avoid on weekends if you want a quiet dinner. Skip the fries because they are very overdone. The scallops are excellent, and the salmon is very good. They have a very nice hot cappuccino

Came here for my birthday dinner November 2024. Dark environment which was good for a late dinner reservation. My boyfriend did call ahead and request champagne at the table which they didn't have (he had to ask again after we were sat) but that was the only misstep. Service was terrific. I opted for soup of the day but it was butternut squash and we asked the waitress for a suggestion. She pushed the mushroom appetizer on us. I was hesitant as it was $18 and I had only recently started to enjoy eating mushrooms after a lifetime of being anti-mushroom. GET. THE. MUSHROOM. Hen of the wood (maitake). It was crispy and meaty and the depth of flavor was so good I've been chasing it ever since that night. Calamari was standard if not sub par. Breading had no flavor and it was served with the sweet chili sauce. I like Bahama Breeze better even. We had the miso salmon udon and some duck breast. The duck had no flavor in our opinion (especially if you're used to eating Chinese prepared duck). Miso salmon udon was so good although the "udon" noodles looked and tasted like linguini. Though they assured us it was udon. Flavor was verrrrry good. Drinks were good and bartender/waiter was nice and chatty as we inquired about drinks.

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.

My server was Amanda and she was prompt. I started with a cocktail - the mango tango- and asked some questions about the menu. I had never heard of this Quahog, which apparently is a noreasterner kinda thing. Ok. Chopped clams, bread crumbs, bell peppers etc. why not. I'll try it. Bad choice. It had a good flavor but I kept crunching on shells!!! It seemed like eggshells were in it, everywhere. It was horrible. I kept thinking the next bite won't be like that- but it was. So many bites were bad. I asked the server what was up- she figured it out. It's not shells it's SAND!!!!! They're not cleaning the clams well. Bro. Rookie mistake. This is why I never order scallops. I hate when they're sandy. And now clams?!? I have to stay away from clams?!? Sheesh. She asked if I wanted bread- I said yes. I wasn't sure if the bread was included? It is not included and is an up charge at other restaurants (The Perfect Caper is an example of that, as well as Ortigia). She gave me one piece. It was delicious, served warm and crispy, and the whipped butter was fantastic. I asked what the butter was a Wisconsin country cream. Clean ingredients. Lots of salt. Yum. I also got a small cup of their soup. Amanda said their soups are always good. The soup of the day was braised beef noodle. It was really good. I could see having a bowl of that and a piece of bread and being totally happy. I was torn between the meatloaf and the Portuguese stuffed shrimp. She recommended the meatloaf. Oh boy. That was a great choice; it was huge. Smothered in bruleed cheese and sauteed onions. Lots of gravy. Lots of skinny green beans and a big scoop of mashed potatoes. Wow! What a meal. So good. I got my leftovers wrapped up. I took a piece of the birthday cheesecake home. It was listed on the specials menu. It looked really nice. However, it was not my favorite and actually, I would not recommend it. It's not cake, it's cheesecake, but the sprinkles just ruin the texture and flavor of the cheesecake, which wasn't a great cheesecake to begin with. Skip it. When the bill came, I was surprised the Quahog was on there. Especially because it was so ill prepared and I complained about it. But whatever. I thanked Amanda, paid, finished my cocktail and left. Parking is on the street or in the parking garage structure on the road behind them. Bathrooms are in the back along the long hallway, I didn't check them out. They have a large bar up front and what looks like a room they could do private events / meetings in. They have a new summer menu where all items are $20. I think that's a good deal.
