After getting 12 tubes of blood drawn ( yup, not a typo) we stopped at Toulas because I had heard they started serving breakfast. Great decision! Everything cooked to order. My husband had the Greek omelet with gyro meat and pita bread and I had the traditional breakfast., Perfectly cooked with the potatoes being a carb fiend's delight. Crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft inside. If you haven't been, it's a small place with delicious Greek food. Now they have real silverware and plates!! It's a win win! Prices very reasonable as well. And you won't be late for work.

The fries were crispy and the cheese/oregano added an extra layer which was great. I would suggest some olive oil or something on the fries to tie it all together like some other Greek places do. It is awkward when they ask you if you'd like to tip at the counter rather than turning the screen to you! We would definitely come back again.

This place will make you come back for more gyro, and falafel. Good yummy Greek food and the price is reasonable! By the way, there are outside tables in the back!

Had lunch w a colleague We both got Greek salads, no protein. Big salads with the standard ingredients for a Greek salad. Too few olives. They were okay. Others were busy ordering burgers, gyros and assorted platters. Good portions. read more

I had the greek salad with chicken and he boss had the falafel wrap. The salad lettuce, spinach, cucumbers and onions were very fresh. The dolmas were tasty. And the chicken was seasoned well and grilled perfectly. My wife's wrap had excellent prepared falafel with a hummus. Filed with lettuce and spinach and feta, this wrap was packed with punch. The gyros are excellent, says hubby. I Don't know what they do to that spinach in the Mediterranean salad, but it is so very delicious! I first ordered it by accident, as I'm not totally fond of spinach. The Mediterranean salad was so delicious then that I ordered it again yesterday. It is amazing! The vinaigrette is very delicious and it comes with hummus. The restaurant is the sit-in / carryout type with a little courtyard in the back as well. The food is very delicious, and as far as I can tell, very very Greek. We will always come back when in the area. read more

(Sub total $47.16, plus tax , and $9.43 tip.) I pulled out the subs when he got home. There were 4. I ordered 3. The BLT and Chicken Ranch BLT were the only things even CLOSE to being right, but just a sprinkling of lettuce on the BLT, and no added pickles to the Chicken Ranch BLT, and really, really MESSY subs. They're usually really nice looking, t.v. commercial -grade. The Tamiami Turkey wasn't made at all. AND they made an Italian and a Ham Turkey Club that I didn't order. I called to rectify the situation, but they closed early. I left a message stating my disappointment, then left my name and number and asked for a return call. I didn't receive one. That was 6 days ago. I suppose they won't be seeing us in the future. That's too bad. If you don't know this deli, you wouldn't know where parking is but if you drive around the back, you'll see a very small parking lot and an entry into the deli. Staff is friendly and super helpful if you're not sure what to get. The place was crowded at lunchtime on a weekday with plenty of regulars, they know a good thing when they taste it. I'm looking forward to coming back into town to try something different since the menu was so vast it just means I have to come back again and again.

I got dressed up and walked over there. My table was ready on time; it was in the lounge area of the restaurant. They offered me the table or said I could sit at the bar. I opted to sit at the bar. The bar was almost full but people were leaving. Apparently people eat early there. The bartender was swamped but smiled and got me a glass of water. Soon I had menus. I like that they have a regular menu as well as a specials menu, including the usual cocktails and some special cocktails. I ordered the conquest, which seemed like a twist on an old fashioned. They offered bread or focaccia bread, I declined. And heads up- bread service is not included. It's an up charge. Normally I don't care but I was having dessert, not bread. I had the halibut special. It was phenomenal. One of the guys from the kitchen dropped it off and asked if I needed anything'- I replied salt. I find that I need salt often at restaurants. They brought the salt out real fast! I had a bite and determined it didn't need any more salt- it was perfectly salted! Woohoo! Fantastic. I ate my whole dish and then I savored my cocktail. The bartender wasn't much for conversation , as she was very busy, alone, covering the entire bar and drinks for the whole restaurant. She did invite me to try dessert, and mentioned a coconut cream cake that was not on the menu. I agreed to it and it was heavenly. Seemed like cheesecake icing with fluffy layers of cake and subtle coconut flakes throughout. The chocolate ice cream was weird at first but then I realized it's like almond joy/ mounds - coconut and chocolate are often paired. The espresso crumble gave it a nice crunch and there was caramel all over the plate. Wow! I took the majority of the cake home. It was a large portion and indulgent. I paid my tab and finished my drink. I was not rushed. I would go back again. It's a bit pricey. The fish special was $58. The cocktail was $17 and the dessert was $16. So one person, who did not add on the bread service, was $91. It's expensive. I would emphasize you can probably get a seat at the bar if you can't get a reservation. Also- the entrance is hard to find. It's in the parking lot and not facing the main road. I got a little lost walking there. The signage is poor. I can't imagine going there the first time in the dark. So give yourself a couple extra minutes if it's your first time going there.

I have dined in at this restaurant on a few occasions and have been very pleased with the service and food. The only complaint would be the lack of seating as it is a small store front. This is truly a compliment to them anyway, that all the seats are filled. Today I ordered and had it delivered to my work. I will say that my work is located nearby the restaurant, however, the time I placed the call for my order was 11:09am, it was delivered to me by 11:25am. It's easy to give this place a five star rating. It's clean and smells good, and the food was amazingly fresh and delicious. It's right in downtown Punta Gorda. But I am so pleased with was the generous portion. It's nice to get a turkey wrap with more than two slices of turkey. And having lived in Detroit where they have a great town in New York New Jersey where there's quick diners everywhere, I can tell you this place deserves it's five star rating. They recommended sitting at the bar which I did and I told the barmaid that I would be in a hurry. She said no problem and I had the yellow tail With some type of hollandaise sauce. Came here for an authentic Gyro since well it's a Greek place. Well dissatisfied is an understatement. The gas station down the street run by Indians has better Gyros. These ppl can barely make hot dogs. Save your money. Go next door to Italia or River City grill or even the dumpy Blue turtle is better. read more
