Mom enjoying her Pinot noir. Finally we get to check this out.

Food and service. We arrived at 7:45. Plenty of time for a drink and food. WRONG. We waited almost an hour and finally our food came. No fries. They are out. I've been in food service for years. They were not out. They closed the fryer before making our food.

Please add the blueberry mimosa to bottomless options! We stopped in for a rooftop brunch this weekend. Mimosas and bloody have a bottomless option (12$ single or $20 botomless). We tried the strawberry basil, sunrise, blood orange, and perfect peach + the non venue item of lemon blblueberry ( which was really the best). We were not a fan of blood orange but the others were good. We also ordered brunch on the rooftop. Wonderful view of the water. The French toast and avocado toast were great. My BF had the Benedict which was good as well. Bartbender Jeanie was wonderful, friendlt and offering ideas on drinks and ensuring we had everything needed! Thank you for the wonderful brunch!

Great breakfast and bottomless mimosas with a beautiful view! I was in Punta Gorda visiting a friend and we were at a bar the night before and someone recommended here for brunch so decided to check it out and I'm glad we did! Perch 360 is a rooftop bar/restaurant at the Wyvern Hotel. You can park at the hotel for free, but there's also some street parking around as well. The breakfast menu is offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 8-11:30 AM. When you arrive you seat yourself and a server will come to you. We were greeted quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. My friend ordered the Breakfast Burrito and I had the Wyvern Breakfast with scrambled eggs. My meal was good, but I did try my friend's burrito and it was DELICIOUS! The steak tips were cooked and seasoned well and the portion was large, but not overwhelming. Now for drinks. They have a mimosa menu with a variety of flavors. A single mimosa is $12, but you can pay $20 for bottomless. Needless to say, just get bottomless. Even if you only get 2 you've saved some money. My favorite mimosa flavor was the Lemon Drop. And the view! It's right on the water and beautiful! I will definitely return when I am back in town again!

Amazing and must visit restaurant to visit in Punta Gorda. I wish I had taken more pictures. Our bartender was a lifetime local and suggested other restaurants and attractions. Her drinks were on point, great margarita with lime juice, no sour mix and my husband had the bourbon smash, absolutely amazing, although using Luxardo cherries instead of marching cherries would have been better. Tuna nachos were great, slightly seared and fresh. The crab cake sandwich was not what I was expecting, but did not have that much crab, but it was good. Easy parking. Will go back for the service, drinks and view!

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Folk singer from the area that was really good. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant!

This is a very nice rooftop garden type bar and food location. You can see the water on one side and the city on the other. The food was ok, pretty pricy but the view and setting is worth it. The service was ok.

I want desperately to give perch a 4 star. Yet here's the reality. The bartenders with his long pony tail and superlative outgoing demeanor and engaging conversation makes you overlook all the short comings. Let's first talk about the speciality drinks. The hurriekathSn is Not flavorful and does not pack a punch like you'd think the name would imply. There l bourbon smash was ok but left you wanting for something Better. The calamari was surprising good but perhaps a tad overcooked. The pairing with a bland tomato sauce was not my first choice and would have preferred a hot jelly based dip. The Caesar salad was typical with no real soiling Caesar or anchovy. The grilled salmon was great while overcooked and touch it was still flavorful. In all I think people go to perch for the view which ironically is blocked by buildings in most directions. It is not a level blue sunseeker view but it is a rooftop with music and sunset and as long as you bring your own breath of fresh air companion you can endure the bland.

The food was absolutely delicious, although all our meals did not come out at the same time and we had a wait a few minutes till my daughter-in-law got her meal, it was hot and cooked to perfection tho. I had the best arugula salad ever, perfectly balanced with the tomatoes, red roasted peppers, blue cheese, and balsamic dressing, and also the beef tenderloin skewers, which were cooked, medium rare and served with crispy potatoes that were seasoned spot on, just enough to make it a delightful dinner! My daughter-in-law had the swordfish which she said was very tasty, my son-in-law had the chicken Christina, which he devoured, and my husband had the cheese raviolis and meatballs, which were on the children's menu, but they said they could give him the adult size portion, which he also enjoyed. I tasted his meatballs and sometimes they are not the best everywhere, these were very good. I normally do take pictures of the food, but I forgot because we were so hungry and dug in as soon as we got our meals, but the presentation was very satisfying. The only negatives were, the music was very loud, and we could barely have a conversation, only when the band took a break, and our waitress didn't put much effort into being friendly or going the extra mile. Had to tell her to get my husband, ice, lemons for our water, and remind her about my daughter-in-law's meal that we were waiting for a couple times. Overall, would definitely go back there and recommend!

A MUST when I'm in Punta Gorda!…read more My friend moved to Punta Gorda a couple of years ago. I've visited her 3 times, and we make sure to come here every time I'm in town. The bar/restaurant is located right on the water with great views! The parking lot is also the same lot used by the adjacent hotel, so it can sometimes be hard to find a park, depending on the day and time. It's a mixture of great outdoor spaces as well as covered spaces. There's also a private event space that's really nice as well. I've been at night as well as during the day and have enjoyed every experience. The staff is friendly and great! I even fell, I mean face-planted, one evening, and the staff made sure to check on me and see if I needed medical attention. The menu is pretty straightforward, and the bar is your basic bar. They have a drink menu, but a full bar as well. Everything is also well-priced. I haven't ordered food, so I can't give a review of the food. I will definitely be back on my next visit to PG!

From wings, wraps, grouper sandwich to fish platter. Tasted terrible. Advise everyone, don't waste your time!

We waited about an hour on a Friday before spring break because we wanted a dockside seat! Worth it! 4 or 5 different brews on tap.. We sat outside & enjoyed the view--boats, gulls, & fish just steps away. We started with onion rings & fish dip. Both tasty. Hubby & son had the fried shrimp special with one side. Hubby loved his coleslaw (mayo based) & son's rice was a small portion. I had a grouper Rueben--delicious fish but not very ruebenish--no sauerkraut--coleslaw instead. Fries & pickle were crisp. You're supposed to toss your shrimp tails to the gulls! They catch them mid-air! All the staff was friendly & accommodating. A must stop spot!

I bellied up to the bar outside. The weather was perfect for it. I started with a half dozen snots on a rock. Plump and slightly briny. A good choice. My single crab cake appetizer was too much cake and not enough crab. The remoulade sauce was unnecessary. I added another starter of their Captains Catch chowder. Had everything they promised but far too starchy.Service was quick from the two barkeeps. The highlight of this place is the journey and destination no matter how you get there. It was freezing that night so we basically ran from the hotel to the restaurant because there's no way to get there other than outside. We were seated immediately, without a reservation. It was Sunday and not too busy. Around 7:30pm. I was done drinking for the day but my husband got a cocktail called Devilfish and enjoyed it. Not sure why that name but I was an attractive looking cocktail. I wanted crab cakes. I'm surprised the price for the crab cake has not changed in years. I saw on old pics of the menu that it was $19. Well, it's still $19 and I find that absolutely remarkable. They did not disappoint; full of crab and a nice crispy crust. The radish garnish was pretty and edible, but plain. The house complimentary bread had a lovely rosemary salt on top. I had the 10oz black angus filet. It was perfectly cooked. It's a thick cut of meat so I did add a little salt. The roasted garlic accompaniment was fantastic. I milked all of that. The gratin potatoes were so cheesy and delicious. My husband had the seabass filet with the almond crust over green beans. It was phenomenal. The crust they achieved on the fish was so good. We opted for dessert- the creme brûlée. It was served with espresso ice cream and some chocolate pieces on top. Pretty good! I like that it was slightly warm in the middle under a thick sugary crust. Service was excellent and food was fantastic. We packed up our leftovers. Bathrooms are clean. Bar looks nice. Would definitely eat here again.

We ordered the scallops, key lime chipotle shrimp flatbread, hog wings, tuna tartare, and the montaditos (basically creative little bruschetta). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The scallops were perfectly cooked on a bed of risotto, the tuna had a surprising but delicious hit of jalapeño, and each montadito - from prosciutto and manchego to a creamy goat cheese and fig combo - was spot on. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, although they were out of several bottles we tried to order, which was a bit disappointing. Our friends struck out on two bottles of red before they found one they actually had available. It's a little surprising to be that unprepared for a Saturday night. The vibe of the place is casual but stylish, with a fun mix of tables, sofas, and mismatched furniture that gives it a relaxed neighborhood feel. The main downside? The service. Our server started out attentive, but then basically disappeared - empty water glasses, no check-ins, and we ended up having to hunt her down for the bill after waiting 15 minutes. Most tapas are around $20 and larger plates like the skirt steak are closer to $40. For two couples, we spent about $160 per couple with tip - a reasonable price for two bottles of wine and food this darn good. Did I mention the scallops? Bottom line: the food is phenomenal and the vibe is great . The wine inventory and service are weak spots - which is too bad, because UnWINEd could have become a favorite.
