We ordered the Big Dippa with onion rings and a kids cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. Food came out fast and tasted excellent! The sandwich was a decent size and came topped with cheese and fried onions, horseradish (nice surprise!) and au jus on the side. When the milkshake came out they gave us another cup with a little extra which was nice. Shake had a good thick texture. Would definitely stop by again.

The lobster risotto turned out to become a scallop risotto which I was fine with. The sear on the scallops was perfect and the risotto had a nice nutty flavor to it - very rich and very good. We waited around 40 minutes for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. Also noticed that the other three groups received their food within minutes of us receiving our food despite the fact that we ordered long before them. What made the experience even more upsetting was that our waiter brought out the food and never came back to check on us--not once. The next time we saw him was when he brought the check. Given the noticeable difference in how quickly the other customers who arrived and ordered after us were served, along with the lack of attention we received throughout our meal, we left feeling that we were treated differently. I understand that restaurants can get busy and delays can happen, but the pattern we experienced was difficult to overlook. We came in expecting to enjoy a meal and spend our money at your establishment, and instead we left feeling ignored, disrespected, and unwelcome. At the very least, we expected communication about the delay and someone to check on us after our food finally arrived. I hope management takes this experience seriously and looks into how customers are being treated.

We were delightfully surprised at how beautiful it was inside and especially outside around the pool area where we decided to sit. The view overlooking the mountains and canyon was breathtaking. There was a local art exhibit being held and several different local artists had their paintings and art work displayed. There was an abundance of people that were there attending the art show. We found a table near the pool area and seated ourselves. Within just a few minutes a very personable and knowledge waitress came over to take our drink and food order. Everything was in pristine condition and being someone that enjoys a nice dinning experience, I couldn't have been more pleased. There was a linen runner on all the outdoor tables and we were served ice water in beautiful decorative glasses. The silverware was wrapped in black linen napkins and to my surprise, when I opened the napkin, the three piece silverware set was gold plated, not your typical silver thin utensils. We ordered wine, a beer and a very tasty lavender infused cocktail beautifully presented. We shared a flatbed type pizza, a total of eight sliced squares along with a wonderful calamari dish....not the typical circles and tentacles but slices of calamari steak seasoned just right and served on a dressed bed of arugula and an aioli sauce with a roasted half lemon on the side. Several times during our meal our waitress came out to check on us and at one point, Darron, possibly the head chef or manager came by and talked to us inquiring about our dinning experience. This was all first rate service and we can't wait to go back. Before we left we went inside and found a table close to the bar as there was a man singing and playing his guitar. We found out that this is a regular part of the hotel's entertainment which is every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 - 8. He played recognizable songs and the volume level was just right, not too loud. The entire hotel is lovely and modern and this is where we will be recommending out of town guests to stay when coming through.

I felt it was overcooked and barely seasoned. No condiments are added to the burger. You have to get them on the side and add them yourself. Probably should have asked for some mayo to spread on the bun. i also ordered a caprese salad that had way too little mozzarella and tomatoes. Again to me the convenience out weighs my expectation for the food. Other than the convenience the draw is the staff. Very friendly, attentive and engage in conversation with the patrons. There was plenty of parking when we pulled in. As you walk in, you seat yourself. I hadn't been here before, but my daughter has. When we sat down (table and chairs kinda place), one server got us a couple of waters while we were looking over the menu.. perfect, because that's what we love to drink. After we decided on what we wanted I got a chance to look around at the decor on the walls. It felt very family friendly with baby pictures on the walls, signs, coffee mugs along the restaurants name spelled out on the wall. It was very cute and cozy. My daughter ordered the Carnitas Omelet (Carnitas omelet with jack cheese, black beans, red onions, avocado, and black olives, topped with sour cream. Served with sourdough toast and fresh fruit) with strawberries. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero's with eggs over medium (Corn tortillas, refried beans, 2 eggs, sour cream, avocado, homemade salsa, and cheese cheese. Also served with a side of salsa.) We didn't wait long, it arrived within 10 minutes. Also, after smelling their delicious coffee, I had to have a cup! A+!!!! My daughter let me try her Carnitas Omelet. Their Carnitas is on point! It was tender and has great flavor! Her omelet was beautifully cooked, being that it was gorgeous, yellow and fluffy. My Huevos Ranchero's was crispy in the bottom as I requested. I love the topping of avocado. The only thing I would change is to get all the salsa on the side. There was quite a bit on the Huevos Ranchero's themselves and it was a little overwhelming. Next time, I'll order it completely on the side. The menu has it listed as homemade... it tasted a little bit like it was Pace chunky salsa. I didn't even touch the side of salsa that also comes in the side and I wasn't sure what the extra side of tortillas was for, but I took those home. My daughter took home about half of her 3 egg omelet and some toast. Maddy was a great server. Everyone helped each other out by doing coffee refills for all tables (not just their own), running out hot food, and helping clean up tables as people finished their plates. Great team work! Tonight I placed an order at McGuire's for two BLT and avocados with mayo. It was a to go order…read more When I got the order to the individual's house, what we found was unacceptable. First thing you noticed is the bread was not toasted at all. It had a couple of brown stripes on one side only. When you open the sandwich, the lettuce was wilted, and the tomato was absolute mush, like it had been old and laying around for hours. The worst thing, though, were the avocados. 2/3 of the avocados were dark,gray or black. Obviously not a good avocado, but yet they managed to cut it up and serve it. And the last thing that was disappointing, was the fact that the bacon was in one wad in the center of the sandwich and not laid out on the sandwich. Just a wad that had to be disassembled and spread out. It looks and feels and sounds to me that that kitchen needs some discipline. Don't use old food! If the client asked for mayo, put it on the damn sandwich like they requested. Everything points to that cook being in one heck of a hurry as it was obvious everything was done down and dirty with little to no concern or care for presentation or freshness. I called this evening to let the manager know and I will call the general manager tomorrow. I believe they said his name was Joe? This is my second time at Maguire's as a local and I'm absolutely not impressed. There's a sign up when you walk in that says please wait to be seated. There are a couple of benches there so I sat down and waited yet I could not get the attention of anybody. It wasn't that busy. A few people walked in and managed to get seated. I talked to a couple of the waitresses asking if I could check on my to go order and was met with I'll get back to you. Eventually, I cornered one of the gals and there was my to go order sitting in a bag next to their Station. Warm Italian dressing. I honestly thought this was a fresh veggie wrap. It was terrible. My friend ordered. The sandwich had as a side the garlic fries. The waitress presented the food and then a minute later said the cook forgot to toss it in the garlic. She took the plate to "toss" them in the garlic but the garlic and oil was just poured on top in one spot. Gross. They didn't eat the fries where the garlic was "deposited." The waitress did check on us and did refill our drinks but the grimace on her face never went away. There are so few restaurants in Cool. It would be nice if they were good with great food but this one is not. Not friendly either. Friendly goes a long way. It helps soften the blow of mediocre food.

If you are able to climb a few steps, then no problem but anyone in a wheelchair or unable to climb a few steps, will have to step out of the restaurant, walk several steps and enter through another door to access the bathrooms. The bar had a great selection of alcohol and they had some pretty good signature drinks. Since we arrived at 3:10, the indoor grill wasn't ready for grilling steaks (grill takes time to heat and would be ready at 4) but did inform us that they could cook any steak on a cast iron skillet. Our party opted for the lunch menu and one person chose her steak to be cooked on the cast iron skillet. I ordered a Smoked Old Fashioned and requested Whistle Pig Bourbon. My cocktail was delicious and prepared properly. My aunt ordered a Cadillac Margarita and said it was strong and delicious. She also ordered an Espresso Martini after dinner and it was equally as delicious. I ordered the Longhorn. This was a smoked tri-tip sandwich with sautéed mushrooms, onions and bell peppers and topped with melted American cheese and substituted onion rings rather than French fries. The bread was so soft and I could taste the smokiness from the tri-tip. All flavors were perfectly balanced and seasoned. I would definitely order this again. The onion rings were hand beer battered and fried to perfection. My friend ordered the Western Burger. The burger had 90% lean angus beef, pepper jack cheese, onion rings, sweet bbq sauce and came with a side, she opted for onion rings. She said the burger was delicious. We ordered the crème brûlée cheese cake. OMG!!! This was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had!! Highly, highly recommend this dessert!! Our waiter, Jordan was attentive and accommodating. He provided great service. But one of favorite things, the restaurant had amazing paper napkins!! I know this seems trivial and crazy, but I dislike cheap napkins and the need to keep asking for additional napkins because they simply don't hold up. Tucked away off the road with the entrance in the back. Great mom and pop food made with love. Homemade pasta for dinner. Great burgers for lunch. Customer Service could be more friendly, that's my only issue. They need to smile an and be excited when people come through the door. The last two times we've walked in and just stood there waiting for someone to come out and greet us. To me, Great Customer Service is key. But they did have good food which I appreciate. We will go for the 3rd time and see if their attitudes have changed for the better. My fingers are crossed because we'd love to give them more business and get the word of mouth out to the local community.
