Great job framing my first real piece of artwork. Takes a few days but worth the wait. Chefs kiss

*** Watch out for the step at the front entrance *** Recently I uncovered two signed posters that I never had a chance to frame them. I figured it was time to frame them instead of letting them collect dust. After a quick Yelp search, I decided to come to this frame shop and asked for a quote. [Parking]: There's a small parking lot with three free spots located behind the shop. [Service]: The staff inspected the size of my posters and said that they didn't have ready-made frames that would fit so the posters would need to be custom-framed. I received a discount for getting two custom frames and the total was $87.60 (tax included). Please note that they use a pricing chart based on frame sizes to determine the price for each frame. It was slightly more expensive than buying a 22" x 14" frame on Amazon, but you get the benefit of custom installation and not having to frame posters yourself. I had an option to choose between black or white frames and I ultimately went with black. The back of the frame is wired for hanging. I dropped off my posters on Saturday and was told they will be ready in a week. I received a call just four days later and informed that the job was already complete. I had initially paid a $40 deposit when I dropped them off and paid the remaining $47.80 upon pick-up. [Conclusion]: Easy parking, quick turnaround, friendly service, and beautiful frames - would definitely come back here again if I need to frame more posters! read more

Having never framed anything before professionally, I trusted Jose to choose the frame for my first Audrey Kawasaki print. It was absolutely worth the wait! The white border and light wood frame was a great suggestion, really brought out the beauty in the piece! The turnaround time was faster than expected (a week early) which was great. Prices are affordable and there are tons of frame selections to choose from. Will definitely be back to frame things in the future and highly recommend this business to anyone! Great service & very knowledgeable. My new framed print is the best new addition to my cute apartment! :) read more

Unbelievably beautiful work. Very nice and accommodating people. Great price. Can I ask for more? I had a fantastic experience at this framing place. Thank you thank you thank you! read more

I wanted to frame a friend's artwork and first went to a "discount" custom framing place on the west side. They were perfectly helpful and nice, but I was quoted almost double the cost I ended up paying here. In addition, Jose immediately could tell how the old matte and frame were cobbled together and what a redo would entail. He helped me think through options, pricing and offered solicited advice. I will not go anywhere else for framing items I really value and want to preserve. read more

Can't say enough amazing things! I live up the street from downtown framing and was in the market to have a canvas print glued/stretched on my vintage frame. After $25 and a gorgeous remount and quick turnaround we were beyond Excited about the way it came out. Excited to come back for more frames on our gallery wall! read more

I love this place. Whenever I need to get something framed, you will find me patiently waiting to talk to Jose at Downtown Framing Outlet. This isn't just some impersonal framing store...Jose REALLY wants the end result to be perfect for you. Plus, he has a great artistic eye and can match the colors of what you bring in to the frames and mattes he has on hand. The prices are very reasonable too! It usually takes about 3-4 weeks until your order is ready, so be patient...it's worth it! And the MOST important thing: When you stop by, look down...that first step through the doorway is a doozy! Thank me later. read more

Best framers. My go to whenever I need an art piece framed. They are so sweet and efficient. Always do an amazing job and quickly at that. I highly recommend them. They also have realistic prices, not insane gouging prices like most LA framers read more

Very friendly owner& staff, and they did a very good job for a very reasonable price. I got a canvas stretched & framed which took about 4 weeks (due to shutdown backlog) and got a poster framed as well. The price was about the same as if I had gotten frames and did it myself, but obviously this was done much more professionally. Will definitely come back for my other art pieces! read more

I came here wanting to get a poster framed ASAP... like that day ASAP. Since I'd never really gotten anything framed before, I didn't realize that was a little unrealistic, but I did some research and found out Downtown Framing Outlet could do that for me. I went in, the guy showed me the available pre-made frames, and the job was done in less than an hour. He also somehow managed to iron out all the bendy/wrinkled parts of the poster, which was amazing. All for $43.80. 5 stars. read more

I had an oddly sized piece that I wanted framed in metal. Everywhere else quoted me $100+ with a 10 day turnaround time, at least. Jose quoted me $60, and had the frame ready the next day. Even when the dimensions were off from my estimate, they recut the metal for me on the spot, and assembled the entire frame for me at no extra cost. My experience was overwhelmingly positive and I will be returning to frame more of my oddly sized prints. read more

The best! Jose is a master and has done everything under the sun for me in terms of framing. At a reasonable price. I only come here!

The did a great job. loved the work that was done. Staff and owner very friendly. Seems they take pride in their work and Jose is quite talented with a good eye for design. The only pitfalls are price, I paid $300 for four pictures, I felt like it was worth it, but friends always do a double take when I tell them the price. lol Also, they took WAY too long to do it. He told me it would take a month to frame them, which I thought was crazy, I decided to wait though, ended up taking TWO MONTHS. so be prepared to wait. read more
