I've gotten a couple of things framed in the past but no one was as fun, pleasant, easy, attentive and thorough as Chad. Seriously, make him your go-to person for framing, he's not only talented and takes a lot of pride in what he does but is also a kind person. My current partner lost his favorite Mike Mignola print last year (long story), I was finally able to track another one down and wanted to make it super special. Had to find a framer within walking distance since my car was in the shop and skipped over to Castle Custom Framing. Chad met me outside (masked) and explained that he does everything over text these days. His communication couldn't have been more clear or considerate, and he reached out only a couple of hours later with three great options for the print, plus thoughtful descriptions of each, including which was his subjective fave. I love that he shared his POV, and his philosophy to "frame-to-the-art rather than a specific decor style that way it'll look good anywhere you hang it." It was honestly such an immense help when I was having trouble deciding between two of the frames. I went with a more gothic, occulty, horror fanaticy frame that matched the art, rather than a toned down matte black frame with red accents. But it mostly depends on your style, Chad will pull options that will all look good. He priced it out right there + $50 to expedite in time for the holidays. (It was $50 for the size of my print but can be $100 for larger pieces). This was on 12/9 and the rush was finished on 12/16! I also brought in three small prints that I didn't need in time for the holidays. He sent options the next morning since they looked better in natural light. He was just as thoughtful and thorough with these little drawings as the surprise reuniting-my-partner-with-his-favorite-artist's-art gift. Thank you so much Chad! read more
