I had a great experience with Framed in Montrose. On short notice, my sisters tasked me with getting a photo of one of our younger brothers enlarged to 10x14 and framed. Sadly this framed photo was needed for his funeral. My wife and I met with Adam and explained our situation. We had one week before the services. Adam understood quickly our needs and promptly found the gold colored wood and matting that worked with the photo we had with us. That photo was on my phone. We selected the frame and matting and placed our order. For the actual photo, he sent us a few blocks away to Color Zone to meet with Garo for the enlargement of the photo. Within two hours, Garo had the enlarged photo that we then took to Adam. He promised us the framed photo in four days and actually had it ready in three. The framed photo was beautiful and was displayed prominently at his memorial services. Thank you Adam and his father, Frank for their kindness during a difficult time for me and my family. read more

I have used them multiple times and had always had a great experience until my last one. There was lack of communication, longer timeline that originally discussed (originally I was told it will take 3-4 week - this was an extended timeline since it was a customs project - but it took over 6 weeks and I finally just picked up the project not complete because I could not wait anymore). When I tried to express my frustration with the process and the run around I was getting, I got snapped at by the owner and was treated horribly. No apology, no understanding for me having to continuously call and go in with no updates. Really horrible experience. This project was for an event and it was very stressful how it was handled. Still baffled that the owner simply could not go back to customer service 101 - I'm sorry, let's figure this out and try to fix the problem. No consideration for paying customers time and was treated so rudely. Pricing is high - but I usually don't mind because I like supporting local shops. But I won't be using them again. So disappointed in the entire experience. read more

Frank and team did a beautiful job framing the three things we brought in! I appreciate his artistic eye as evidenced by the composition and dynamism in each piece. He spent quite a bit of time trying to locate just the right shade of greenish brown to complement my Rent playbill, including calling a manufacturer of one color in particular that had been discontinued. This was during the Christmas rush and they were obviously slammed, so I especially appreciate the effort. I only wish the pictures I included looked as good as these look in real life! In particular, he mounted the mirror behind the "and so they built a life they loved" piece to create a dynamic effect where the lights sparkle from the letters as you move around the room. Went in they gave me one price then called to confirm it was double . I needed try mounting and they don't have the machine to do it so they needed to send it out . I found Luis custom framing in studio city that can do large scale dry mounting and had the machine . 1600 vs 4000 with these people . Too pricey. read more

Everyone at Framed in Montrose is so helpful and extremely kind. They have a variety of options and will give you many different suggestions, including if you have a low budget for certain items. I went for the first time around August or September 2020, and have gone back multiple times since, bringing more and more things to frame each time. Sometimes, I had so many things and I was just (probably annoyingly) indecisive and they would patiently help me for 2-3 hours straight. I always ended up leaving feeling comfortable with my decisions and purchases, thanks to their help. I had many pieces of foreign currency that I had saved from my travels around the world. I wanted to have them framed for my home office. Although I am out of state I wanted to use Framed in Montrose, as I had seen another piece of framed currency that they had done. I sent them the currency and Beverly designed the layout. We had some phone/e-mail conversations making sure she knew what style of frame and color palette I liked. She then sent me photos of the mock-up, the frame, and the mats, along with a quote. I approved everything and a short time later the two framed items arrived. The two framed items were very well packed in multiple layers of foam, bubble-pack, and packing peanuts. Over the weekend I had gone to a frame store which had great ratings on Yelp. I had a $70 print of a painting I love which I wanted to get framed. The customer service was good but the pricing was ridiculous. After volunteering what the piece cost the frame price was going to be just over $600.00 and that was with a discount. Yesterday I went to Framed in Montrose and Frank, the owner assisted me. He seemed to understand and respect my desire to show off a piece which meant a lot to me from a painter I admire and he found two solutions for me which included the ideas I had but cut out the very expensive frame material and the double matting. I left very happy with the choice and the cost at about $150. I'm sure I will be happy with the framed piece and I know I am proud of myself having been practical about the cost. I strongly recommend going into this very pleasant Framing store the next time you need this service and I hope you deal with Frank whom I respect and enjoyed working with. read more

Recently someone backed into an old sentimental pencil drawing a relative gifted with me years ago and cracked the glass in the frame. I wrapped it in a towel, brought it to Framed and dealt with a lovely woman. When I was a bit taken aback by the price to replace the glass she suggested I might do better at Joanne's. I thanked her and went there for an estimate. The one in town no longer does such things. I went right back to Framed, was asked if I wanted them to install the glass or do it myself. She examined the frame front and back, said it would take about a week, I paid, she said they would call when it was ready. When a couple of weeks went by I called the store and was told by a gentleman that they had emailed me. I did not receive an email, but said I would be in the next day. When I went to pick up the piece the gentleman went to retrieve the drawing close at hand before I produced the receipt. He immediately pointed out the corner of the frame, now damaged and said, "We didn't do this." Excuse me? Yes, you did. The glass was broken the matt faded, but the inexpensive frame was in perfect shape. Had it not been the woman who took the order for the glass would have surely noted it. I told him there was nothing wrong with the frame when I brought it in, thus why I wanted them to put the new glass on it. Had it been broken I would have replaced it with the glass when I brought it in. He refused responsibility. I'm upset and turned off. Bad business over an inexpensive frame they damaged and could have cheaply replaced. read more

The piece I had framed was oversized with a hand torn exposed edge. It was framed with A museum grade uv resistant plexiglass and came out great.
