I had a great experience with Framed in Montrose. On short notice, my sisters tasked me with getting a photo of one of our younger brothers enlarged to 10x14 and framed. Sadly this framed photo was needed for his funeral. My wife and I met with Adam and explained our situation. We had one week before the services. Adam understood quickly our needs and promptly found the gold colored wood and matting that worked with the photo we had with us. That photo was on my phone. We selected the frame and matting and placed our order. For the actual photo, he sent us a few blocks away to Color Zone to meet with Garo for the enlargement of the photo. Within two hours, Garo had the enlarged photo that we then took to Adam. He promised us the framed photo in four days and actually had it ready in three. The framed photo was beautiful and was displayed prominently at his memorial services. Thank you Adam and his father, Frank for their kindness during a difficult time for me and my family. read more

We used to go to Michaels for framing our canvases and pictures, but this time we decided to support a local framing business in our area. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. We brought two canvases to be framed and were told they would be ready in about two weeks. When we picked them up and got home, we noticed that one of the frames was not level and had a noticeable bump/defect. We immediately returned it and asked them to fix it. What was most disappointing was the customer service. Instead of simply apologizing and taking responsibility, they seemed surprised that they had missed the problem and started blaming someone else. There was no genuine apology or even a simple "sorry" for the inconvenience. We were told it would be fixed the next day. After three days, we had to call them ourselves because nobody contacted us. The employee then told us it was ready. When I finally picked it up, the worker didn't even acknowledge the problem or offer an apology. For a business that charges a significant amount for framing, I expected much better quality control and, more importantly, much better customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left a very bad impression. We tried to support a local business instead of going to a larger chain, but based on our experience, we will not be going back. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously, because a quality framing business should stand behind its work and treat customers with respect when something goes wrong. read more

Framed in Montrose does excellent work. I've been assembling family generational photos for a wall presentation... different eras and sizes. Liam at Framed in Montrose was so helpful in creating an arrangement. I wanted a collage of photos/frames/mats that worked together, not just matching black lacquer frames/mats. He spent time pulling samples and patiently assembling an eight-piece presentation. They are beautiful and the compliments I hear go on and on. It was a great experience working with the Framed in Montrose team. Thank you, All! read more

I have used them multiple times and had always had a great experience until my last one. There was lack of communication, longer timeline that originally discussed (originally I was told it will take 3-4 week - this was an extended timeline since it was a customs project - but it took over 6 weeks and I finally just picked up the project not complete because I could not wait anymore). When I tried to express my frustration with the process and the run around I was getting, I got snapped at by the owner and was treated horribly. No apology, no understanding for me having to continuously call and go in with no updates. Really horrible experience. This project was for an event and it was very stressful how it was handled. Still baffled that the owner simply could not go back to customer service 101 - I'm sorry, let's figure this out and try to fix the problem. No consideration for paying customers time and was treated so rudely. Pricing is high - but I usually don't mind because I like supporting local shops. But I won't be using them again. So disappointed in the entire experience. read more

Framed in Montrose has framed several of our prints and photographs, each with care and insight. They offered a large selection of frames and mats and helped reach the final choice with an artist's eye. We enjoy the art in our home every day. It's extra special because we are living in a home away from home, as we were affected by the Eaton Fire. These works add to our sense of enjoyment and renewal. Thank you to all the workers! read more

I took my project to framed in Montrose and I am incredibly happy with the results... I needed to get two pieces framed to match an existing piece that I already had framed... They were super attentive to my needs and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, I did not communicate the exactness of my expectations, but they were kind enough to reframe my original piece to match the new frames so I had a perfectly matching set in the end. Thanks Liam, I super Duper appreciate the excellent customer service! Will definitely bring additional projects to them in the future. read more

Frank and team did a beautiful job framing the three things we brought in! I appreciate his artistic eye as evidenced by the composition and dynamism in each piece. He spent quite a bit of time trying to locate just the right shade of greenish brown to complement my Rent playbill, including calling a manufacturer of one color in particular that had been discontinued. This was during the Christmas rush and they were obviously slammed, so I especially appreciate the effort. I only wish the pictures I included looked as good as these look in real life! In particular, he mounted the mirror behind the "and so they built a life they loved" piece to create a dynamic effect where the lights sparkle from the letters as you move around the room. I will definitely visit again the next time. Thank you!! read more

great place for my special artworks to be framed. Very customizable and good prices. Did 3 different ones and all looked amazing

We are very grateful for the beautiful job that Frank and his team at Framed in Montrose did in framing a special canvas piece by Jacob Alexander aka Zander. It looks stunning on the walls at The Band Famous HQ/venue in Los Angeles! They regularly frame pieces for Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as for one of the drummers of Yes, one of our fav classic rock bands! Super cool. We can see why! The craftsmanship speaks volumes. Thank you again, Frank, for your wonderful work! This canvas piece is extra-special to us as it is the very canvas that Jacob Alexander had his body paint models stand on for body painting over the years [for DJ Paul Van Dyk, Benny Benassi, and more] (on the reverse side of this very piece). There is much history and energy in this piece! Title: Akhenaten read more

Went in they gave me one price then called to confirm it was double . I needed try mounting and they don't have the machine to do it so they needed to send it out . I found Luis custom framing in studio city that can do large scale dry mounting and had the machine . 1600 vs 4000 with these people . Too pricey. read more

Everyone at Framed in Montrose is so helpful and extremely kind. They have a variety of options and will give you many different suggestions, including if you have a low budget for certain items. I went for the first time around August or September 2020, and have gone back multiple times since, bringing more and more things to frame each time. Sometimes, I had so many things and I was just (probably annoyingly) indecisive and they would patiently help me for 2-3 hours straight. I always ended up leaving feeling comfortable with my decisions and purchases, thanks to their help. They have excellent customer service, are skilled in framing, and I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I HIGHLY recommend them! I bought a painting on Etsy on a canvas, unaware that's it came rolled, and I went to Framed in Montrose to find out how much it would cost to be stretched. The painting was huge, and the cost of stretching was coming out to be more than the original painting. Beverly went above and beyond to help me find a solution, and ended up finding a large frame to fit my painting perfectly. She was very personable and it's very evident that she loves what she does. I will definitely be a returning customer whenever I have my next framing need! read more

Absolutely love my new framed art! Framed in Montrose did an excellent job in less than a week in transforming this hand embroidered cloth from Mexico to a unique piece for my new home. The selection of frame styles was enormous and their pricing is extremely competitive for custom frame work. Professional service through out the entire process and I got 35.00 off for checking in on YELP, which allowed me to go with a more expensive frame. Thanks for helping my vision for this primitive cloth come to life! #loyalcustomer read more

I found them through Yelp. Frank and Connie helped me dry mount my posters for an important presentation. When I informed them that there's some urgency to it, they offered to get it done within the hour. They explained that it is rare to be able to do it so quickly, but because of the recent rain, they are not as busy today. I know I will have to give them 3-5 days turnaround time in the future. Nevertheless, Frank and Connie, thank you for the excellent service that I received today. Much appreciated!! read more

Unmatched service. Two words to describe Framed in Montrose. Walked in w a basic idea to get a sports jersey framed and walked out w something that blew my idea out of the water. The way they folded the jersey to show every detail, the color background, the texture of the background, making the framing itself and the care to fold each little part of the jersey is absolutely phenomenal. My kind of shop. I took a photo in to have framed and the owner instinctively knew I would not likely spend the $ to have this particular photo framed. It's been many years since I've had anything framed so I was a babe in the woods. Nevertheless Beverly worked with me to pick out the perfect mat and frame. When she priced it up I was like wow, I had no idea. We laughed and she said she understood. She told me where I should go to get a very decent frame, I did and was thrilled with what I found. Now I'm looking around for a piece of art or really beautiful photograph to take back to them and have framed. They have fantastic stock and the customer service is exceptional. read more

I had many pieces of foreign currency that I had saved from my travels around the world. I wanted to have them framed for my home office. Although I am out of state I wanted to use Framed in Montrose, as I had seen another piece of framed currency that they had done. I sent them the currency and Beverly designed the layout. We had some phone/e-mail conversations making sure she knew what style of frame and color palette I liked. She then sent me photos of the mock-up, the frame, and the mats, along with a quote. I approved everything and a short time later the two framed items arrived. The two framed items were very well packed in multiple layers of foam, bubble-pack, and packing peanuts. I like the finished product very much - please see the two photos. They did a great job, communicated well, and packed the items well. I'll use them again. read more

I'm so happy that I could support a local family business in my neighborhood. The glass of a piece of framed artwork cracked during my recent move, and I took it to Framed in Montrose. Over the weekend I had gone to a frame store which had great ratings on Yelp. I had a $70 print of a painting I love which I wanted to get framed. The customer service was good but the pricing was ridiculous. After volunteering what the piece cost the frame price was going to be just over $600.00 and that was with a discount. Yesterday I went to Framed in Montrose and Frank, the owner assisted me. He seemed to understand and respect my desire to show off a piece which meant a lot to me from a painter I admire and he found two solutions for me which included the ideas I had but cut out the very expensive frame material and the double matting. I left very happy with the choice and the cost at about $150. I'm sure I will be happy with the framed piece and I know I am proud of myself having been practical about the cost. I strongly recommend going into this very pleasant Framing store the next time you need this service and I hope you deal with Frank whom I respect and enjoyed working with. read more

Recently someone backed into an old sentimental pencil drawing a relative gifted with me years ago and cracked the glass in the frame. I wrapped it in a towel, brought it to Framed and dealt with a lovely woman. When I was a bit taken aback by the price to replace the glass she suggested I might do better at Joanne's. I thanked her and went there for an estimate. The one in town no longer does such things. I went right back to Framed, was asked if I wanted them to install the glass or do it myself. She examined the frame front and back, said it would take about a week, I paid, she said they would call when it was ready. When a couple of weeks went by I called the store and was told by a gentleman that they had emailed me. I did not receive an email, but said I would be in the next day. When I went to pick up the piece the gentleman went to retrieve the drawing close at hand before I produced the receipt. He immediately pointed out the corner of the frame, now damaged and said, "We didn't do this." Excuse me? Yes, you did. The glass was broken the matt faded, but the inexpensive frame was in perfect shape. Had it not been the woman who took the order for the glass would have surely noted it. I told him there was nothing wrong with the frame when I brought it in, thus why I wanted them to put the new glass on it. Had it been broken I would have replaced it with the glass when I brought it in. He refused responsibility. I'm upset and turned off. Bad business over an inexpensive frame they damaged and could have cheaply replaced. read more

They have a yelp coupon! Very knowledgeable about framing and close to home. Their work is pricy so if you are framing a inexpensive piece of art it probably won't be worth it. The piece I had framed was oversized with a hand torn exposed edge. It was framed with A museum grade uv resistant plexiglass and came out great. It took longer than I expected but overall very happy with the finished product. As A frame of reference (excuse the pun) it cost me approximately $500 read more
