I wish I could keep This place a secret but I need to support George because he's not just an expert mirror craftsman, he is a wonderful person. I visited his shop based on the many many positive reviews he had on yelp. It's appointment only so be sure you call first and talk to him about what you're looking for so that your time is well spent when you meet at his studio. I sent him photos of my wall and a couple of inspiration photos. He gave me some good things to consider and it helped me to make a decision. When I met him at his studio, he showed me many options for the mirror frame. He has metal, wood, and options that imitate both as well. I designed the mirror with him (a beautiful hand painted Italian moulding) and after a couple of weeks (today) he came to install it. *He will ask you for general placement before he comes to install so when he arrives he's ready to go(he doesn't waste your time or his own!) George was highly responsive to our mirror needs and design requirements for our bathroom remodel. He offered to meet us at our house to discuss (we met him at his shop) and when the mirror was completed, on the day he promised, he delivered it to us and helped my fiance get it up to the second floor. We did not have an arrangement with our contractors to hang the mirror, so the finance and I spent an entire Sunday figuring out the best and safest way to hang it. George provided the correct hanging hardware, but in the end, we changed the locations of the hooks he placed and came up with a different hanging solution. The bathroom vanity mirror is beautiful but I'll focus this review on the travel maps. If you have searched online, you know how expensive framed travel maps are for a typical 2x3' small map. Our maps are huge: World map is 3x5', US map is 3x4'. They would have cost an arm and a leg. Instead, we bought the maps from Costco $15 for both, bought map push pins from Amazon for $8, and George framed them beautifully at affordable prices. The foam core backing was done well that the push pins are secure and won't fall off. The maps are focal points in our entryway.
