I absolutely loved the pulled pork, thought it was the winner out of the meats, and it went so well with the apple slaw. The mac n cheese was great, but serving sizes for the sides were a bit small (I ate 4 'serves' of mac n cheese and could easily have eaten more). The potato tots were salty and crispy and tasted great with the blue cheese dipping sauce. I absolutely hate blue cheese, but this sauce was great. The only disappointment for me was the beef brisket. It tasted nice but hadn't been cooked long enough so the fat hadn't broken down properly. Not a huge deal though as I was happy to keep going back to that delicious pulled pork. The staff were really great and the store itself had a really good vibe. If you're thinking of going I have two pieces of advice for you: 1. Book a table! They are really busy so you'll probably miss out if you don't book 2. Go as soon as they open! They only cook a certain amount of each item and sell out quite regularly. My husband went there once at 7pm and they'd already sold out of the beef brisket (they have a count on the wall that tells you how many of each are still available that night).

Mainly because they are quick when on the run, but I was also pretty much addicted to Wendys Dogs for a while in my early 20's (BBQ dog with Onion Butter, Cheese and a dash of hot chilli to be precise). When I saw New York Dreams the other day on Semaphore Road I almost wet myself, surely they would have brilliant hot dogs! Well, firstly I really had to talk myself into buying the CHEAPEST one......which was $6.95.....FOR A HOT DOG. Sauce and Mustard was all the extra added. Why didn't I go for one of the other dogs with more adventurous toppings? I may be a tubby be-atch, but there is no way I am pay $8+ for a friggin hotdog! They also have wings etc. on the menu, but the hotdog put a big enough dent in my wallet. I would LOVE to give this place a big rap, but they really need to knock 20% off of their prices across the board....then we'll talk! Just for the record, the dog was good.

The store is really cute and has NY basketball memorabilia all over the walls a television playing NY themed shows. They sell all different kinds of hotdogs from the traditional favourites to more gourmet options. Despite thinking my eating experience would be amazing, sadly it wasn't. The store has so much potential and whilst the hotdogs were ok, as the highlight of their menu and whole eating establishment, I thought they would be better than they were. The process is sort of like Subway for hotdogs and they let you pick the kind of bread you want and offer three different kind of hotdogs including Kransky. They also offer a range of other food including tacos and nachos and a dessert range with some really yummy looking cupcakes. I think it is a really good idea, different from most other places in Adelaide - and owned by a 36'er player, you know it has true American influences.

I went…read morewith a larger group and found it's energy exciting, but as a native of New Orleans (born and raised) not true to its name or particularly authentic. First of all, whiskey is native to the bluegrass state (KENTUCKY) and though whiskey is 'the drink' of the moment it's time too shall pass... Since the 1700s New Orleans is and has always been a rum city, but hey, why be bothered with the details or with authenticity, right? I mean who cares that the iconic poboy sandwich is supposed to be served on a French baguette (which could likely be sourced from another local biz just around the corner -Le Carpe Diem, Grenfell Street) when you could use a (possibly cheaper?) inferior Vietnamese roll? Back to the food: we sampled the fried chicken which was a very small serve for the price and it was accompanied by a mayonnaise 'sauce' - why is it needed? Is there bread to make a sandwich?!? Um, no. So, I gave it a go and found the sauce bland, tasteless, and utterly unnecessary. It's mayonnaise! With nothing else. Fried chicken in the States doesn't ever come with a sauce! Ever. Back to the chicken, it had a delightful crunch and was reasonably well seasoned but far too greasy. If served with grease glistening then it should sit on a piece of bread to soak up the oil OR should be blotted with paper. Not good. Next we had the Marlin tartar which was one of the few unique and creative takes on NOLA cuisine; it was presented on a crisp much like a Zapps' Potato Chip (for Western Hemi folks). This is something I can recommend without reservation. Then we sampled the rabbit stew - very, very tasty with just enough seasoning, however too much rice and not enough rabbit. One last thing, it is a total and complete sacrilege to have a Mardi Gras party on the first Friday of Lent. Pure and simple commercialization. If you can't do it on Shrove Tuesday, just give it up!

Every time I see their truck out, I get all high school girl excited. There is something about a business like this. I think what really captures me is when you meet a owner that is just so passionate about what they do. There is so much thought, attention to detail and expertise here. From cooking methods to their business style. It just reflects how cool they are as individuals, and something I really want to support and share. Oh yeah, their food is beyond good as well! After counting down the hours until this restaurant opened it's doors, we finally made it inside the restaurant. It's dark, comfy and just so much fun! There are all sorts of cool critters and artistic elements. Just go see it for yourself. I should point out, it features some booths too, so great for groups. I had the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. Oh yeah baby! Crispy, tasty, juicy chicken which is cut through with come fresh slaw. You can order this with fries on the side, but we opted for cheesy fries! So glad we did! These fries were covered in home made cheese sauce and crumbled cheesy bits, I kind of just wanted to put my face into the bowl and chew. Oh, I also had a bite or two of the Cheese Steak Philly. Well, well, well... God in sandwich form? But beware, this is a hefty meal. Be prepared to feel overwhelmed with amazing flavour and cheesy goodness. It is definitely not for the faint hearted or those watching the their waistline. It is amazing though and I really do recommend trying it. Ok, so let's just say this, get down there now before you have to wait in a line. This place is going get popular real fast. Bring your friends, family and neighbours.
