    Chicken Burger
    Amy H.

Well can't say I was terribly impressed it was all fine but my taste buds didn't do a happy dance or anything special. I had the chicken burger and sweet potato fries which FYI was way too much food. I think it would taste better at 3am after booze. Completely adequate, just nothing to write home about in my humble opinion.

Great burger and fries were received on my uber eats order. The fries were still crunchy even after a 10 minute drive

what can I say but DAMN GOOD BURGERS The burger is perfectly cooked. the fillings, not a lot of choices but there's more than enough for all. Onion rings, Yes, Sweet Potato fries, Yes.. GO for it.

Visited Burgastronomy without a firm idea of what I was in for. First impressions were that this isn't as professional a setup as Nordburger/burger foundry etc. The art on the wall is a bit tacky but the furniture was typical burger joint. I ordered the hot burger with chips and after being told that it would be 9/10 heat, opted for the xtra hot sauce... So I was expecting to struggle eating it and possibly regret my decision half way through. Before I get to the heat rating I'll give the burger a going over. The bun was your typical brioche that collapses half way through if you're not careful, but still nice - think Nordburger, burger republic etc etc. Meat was medium which was nice. Everything else was fresh, but nothing too interesting or unusual. Back to the chili. So they use a chipotle sauce which I have a very similar sauce to at home that I bought from chili mojo and it's rated 5/10. This sauce had a touch more heat than that, so as far as heat rating goes, I'd say 6/10 max. Was a little disappointed to be honest, but I know everyone has different ratings. It would be good to have an "ultra hot" burger or something that is a challenge to eat. Also, I'm not even that tough when it comes to chili. My 9/10 sauce at home absolutely knocks me on my arse so if they had a real chili fiend come in and order their Xtra hot burger, they would be laughed at.

Not exactly a cheap lunch option $19 for a burger, chips and a bottle of water. That being said the chips were nice and crunchy and good and the burger was excellent. The bun was more like damper than an regular bun - very soft and tasty and the meat patty was very good. They also have a vegi burger for those who are so inclined.

A cute little burger joint. Unassuming with a few stools around the store. Dine in or take away options are available. The burgers are quite large especially the patties, but excellent value for money. The fillings are piled high and fresh so it can get a little messy when you are eating but well worth it. There are also plenty of sides to accompany your meals. I highly recommend the corn fritters and the sweet potato fries. There are also a selection of condiments, which the staff are more than happy to help you pick one if you are indecisive like me. Also Burgastronmy is fully licensed, so you can enjoy a variety of beverages with your burger.

The "trucker" - beef patty with lettuce, caramelised onion, egg, bacon, cheese, sauce & a bit of mayo. YUM!

First of all, whiskey is native to the bluegrass state (KENTUCKY) and though whiskey is 'the drink' of the moment it's time too shall pass... Since the 1700s New Orleans is and has always been a rum city, but hey, why be bothered with the details or with authenticity, right? I mean who cares that the iconic poboy sandwich is supposed to be served on a French baguette (which could likely be sourced from another local biz just around the corner -Le Carpe Diem, Grenfell Street) when you could use a (possibly cheaper?) inferior Vietnamese roll? Back to the food: we sampled the fried chicken which was a very small serve for the price and it was accompanied by a mayonnaise 'sauce' - why is it needed? Is there bread to make a sandwich?!? Um, no. So, I gave it a go and found the sauce bland, tasteless, and utterly unnecessary. It's mayonnaise! With nothing else. Fried chicken in the States doesn't ever come with a sauce! Ever. Back to the chicken, it had a delightful crunch and was reasonably well seasoned but far too greasy. If served with grease glistening then it should sit on a piece of bread to soak up the oil OR should be blotted with paper. Not good. Next we had the Marlin tartar which was one of the few unique and creative takes on NOLA cuisine; it was presented on a crisp much like a Zapps' Potato Chip (for Western Hemi folks). This is something I can recommend without reservation. Then we sampled the rabbit stew - very, very tasty with just enough seasoning, however too much rice and not enough rabbit. One last thing, it is a total and complete sacrilege to have a Mardi Gras party on the first Friday of Lent. Pure and simple commercialization. If you can't do it on Shrove Tuesday, just give it up!

The bartender Matt is amazingly awesome and will concoct whatever drink you can imagine. He does it with pleasure and his enthusiasm is infectious. Then there is the owner Anna , A wine connoisseur with the taste and talent to pair the perfect wine to the perfect dish. We started out with the yellow fin tuna appetizer paired with the perfect Pinot Grigio, it was fabulous! The cubes of fresh tuna light coated in sesame seeds, the squash compote and paprika that delicately decorated the plate, Then there was the watermelon cubes that after enjoying your slice of tuna refreshed your pallet so perfectly before you enjoyed the next morsel of tuna, pleasantly back and forth with sips of the delicious well balanced Pinot Grigio. It was like the opening act at the symphony, orchestra. For our main course, the orchestra conductor stepped up the tempo of harmonious delights. The presentation of food, the fabulous, delicious, flavors were all in synchronized harmony. My wife chose the pork cutlets I chose the rib eye Anna help us pair them with the perfect Pinot Noir from Adaline area. Magnificently, smooth and delicious, yet light spicy with light cherry notes that went well with our dinner this evening it paired magnificently. The meals: my wife's pork cutlet so soft and tender seasoned to perfection it naturally just falls apart in your mouth. The quinoa, and fresh, sweet, tender, beets that surrounded the pork cutlet elevated it to a heavenly state, moist tender, delicious full of flavors, the greens on the plate accented it to a meal for the Gods. The Rib eye steak is nothing like you would ever expect to be served stateside. It was far above the average standard cut of restaurant steak. Moist, tender, and perfectly prepared. There was no need to chew the morsel, because once you placed it in your mouth your taste buds jump-up in excitement. While dancing around in your mouth they made the morsel of ribeye, just melt away on your tongue. The green beans are as if they were just picked directly from the plant. The cherry tomatoes when you popped them in your mouth the juice and flavor of just one tiny tomato was like you had the most perfectly prepared bowl of fresh tomato soup in front of you. Each and every single morsel of this meal was like a Concerto in your mouth and you mind, simultaneously deleting, and enlightening each & everyone of the senses in your entire body. All of this in the Ambience of the 1860 treasury architectural design building. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you set up a reservation, set time a side and enjoy a fabulous meal, a fabulous wine, with a fabulous owner who knows her stuff. Anna is full of energy. She knows how to make sure each and every customer has the meal of their life! Bon appétit.
