Not sure what the PN is supposed to stand for, but that's beside the point really…read more.. PN Bakery is right around the corner from another bakery. Interestingly both bakeries have been in the same location for a long time. I suppose both manage to live nearby in relative harmony. PN Bakery is open very early, which has saved me on more than one occasion when I've been out and about in the early hours of the morning, either after a late night, or through having to be up early. Normally it's the former as opposed to the latter... I'm a big fan of an early morning pie and PN make a fine pie. The chunks of beef aren't too thick or thin. They're a nice consistent size and aren't too chewy. I know some people like them like those two extremes, but I prefer something in the middle. If you're in the area and it's early then drop by. Actually, drop by any time they're open!!

As a local I will never ever go there again & will tell everyone else I know not to bother. From…read morethe time I walked in I was met with bad attitude. The elderly Asian female staff member acted as if I was bothering her by being in the shop & interuppting her conversation with fellow employees at the back of the store..It was only 1.30pm on a Monday afternoon & they had run out of pretty much all of their meats so I could only order a Chicken Vietnamese roll.Pork & all other meats were sold out she told us BUT I could see cubed BBQ pork on the counter behind her.Surely they should organise things better since most lunch cafes & bakeries don't think 1.30pm is late for lunch. I have ordered & enjoyed many Vietnamese rolls over the years at many places in Adelaide & this would have to be the absolute worse. The ingredients were skimpy & skungy - a few cubes of chicken.1 piece of cucumber,a few stalks of coriander ( maybe 1 or 2 leaves) & about 2 teaspoons of grated carrot( if that). To make things even worse I also ordered a vanilla slice & didn't eat it at lunch time - when I opened the bag at night time to eat it - it was a custard tart & NOT the vanilla slice that I had very clearly ordered & paid for. Next time I want to get lunch in Salisbury I will go to either of the 2 cafes on the opposite side of the road in John St - at least I know they offer quality food with a smile ! Pity I can't offer less than 1 star - because it barely deserves that .
