What a fantastic adventure! Kevin, with 11 years of experience as a white water rafting guide, provided expert guidance. We thoroughly enjoyed laughing, freezing, and making memories. We highly recommend this company! #downstreamadventuresrafting #hikevinsmom

We had an awesome experience Rafting with Downstream Adventures I recommend it 100%. We were at Kremmling Colorado and Dez was our rafting guide she was the coolest and made the experience wonderful. Thank you Dez for an espectacular experience. And thank you Steve, the blind bus driver, for driving us safely to our rafting spot.

    Family vacation!

Had an AMAZING time rafting with this company! We are a party of 10 so we split 4 and 6. The younger group had Tippy. They said he was amazing! Us older folk had Russell. So knowledgeable, great communicator, fantastic raft guide and all around cool guy. This was our first white water rafting trip and now I'm hooked! We ALL highly recommend this company. Fun. Smart. Kind. Experienced. Knowledgeable.

This company is amazing and very accommodating. I felt completely safe and in good hands with Tre, Trevor and Amanda. They all made the excursion very informative and fun. We had a party of 13, and they made us feel very comfortable as most of us were beginners. If you have a desire to go white water rafting, please consider using this company. They won't disappoint, and they are family owned!

It's time to kick some knowledge on Downstream Adventures rafting so follow along. We came with a group of 4 couples and most of them had little to no previous experience in rafting. We signed up for the intermediate level tour and what a blast we had. For those that don't know, this tour consisted of class 3-4 level rapids and required everyone to participate- or should I say paddle. We went late in the season so the water level was low which made things slightly more difficult as hitting more rocks was likely. Anyways, we grabbed our guide Philip and headed off. Philip was a great guide and if you get the chance I highly recommend using him. Word from Boat Crew 2 is Tippy was solid too. He had a great attitude and gave all of us clear instructions. As we floated down the river we had the typical bumps and spins. Some areas were a little harry but nothing extreme. A few people in different boats had a few fall out during the trip but nobody was ejected and nearly every boat got high-sided on a rock or two which required the boat captain to work a bit. Aside from that, everything went pretty smoothly. During one point we came across this dude who was fishing. He was absolutely lost and had no idea what he was doing. As boats got close to him he continued casting where most people would wait until the boat passed. Well, not this village idiot. This clown literally cast his line into our boat and snagged someone in our boat landing the hook into her shorts. All in all, this was a great trip and everyone had a blast. My buddies AnnTony and T-Bone were in another boat and even though they are generally grumpy and stubborn they also had a great time. Next time you are in the Denver area and if your looking for some fun and adventure, I highly recommend you check them out- you won't be disappointed. Two thumbs up! Oh, I nearly forgot about the bus. So, if you don't know, you have to jump on a yellow school bus to be brought to/from the river from the store. The bus ride itself was an E ticket ride. The best way to describe it would be picture the video game Grand Theft Auto where you can upgrade your car to a tank or school bus. Let's just say we were had fun. Good times.

This was our first family trip and the Downstream team was great! The instructions were clear, check in and safety talk was to the point, and we got all decked out in the appropriate gear. Our guide Joe was great! We went with an almost 6 and almost 8 year old, neither of whom could really handle paddling, but Joe kept them safe, entertained, and plenty wet. This was a great trip! One star review for the river being too cold and shallow to swim in - would love to see them fix that.

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! If you are considering rafting in Colorado, go with Liquid Descent. I'm so glad we did!

They have a strict age requirement of 14 and our 12 year old made that a challenge. Having done class 3-4 at Royal Gorge I would say this did not disappoint. It was constant and continuous adventure. I would have loved to kept going longer but like all good things they do come to an end. The 1.5 hours was mot too short either don't get me wrong. If you are scared of the cold don't cheap out--get the extra gear to make your experience better. My wife and kids did the gear. Since we were here in July in the water at noon I toughed it out. Don't vet me wrong it was cold and at times what I would have done to be warm. I feel the cold splash is a part of the experience. Sitting in the front I was also glad for a pair of sunglasses. They say this is some of the best rafting they have had in awhile. What really made this exemplary was the staff. They made you all feel like family. Zak in particular was our favorite. He gave the right balance of safety and firmness needed for a guide. He also helped my 70 year old mother in law work through her fears and continue with getting in the raft. She was reluctant as she only has one hand. Zak calmed her and gave her options. My kids also loved the bus driver Max. Not so sure they loved him ao much it was more his dog Willow. If you want a great and safe experience do it with Mad Adventures where they make you feel like family.

For the last few years our boys(6,8, and 10) have dreamed of catching a trout. In Florida we catch bass but trout is something they've always wanted to catch. We were staying at the Rocky Mountain YMCA about an hour away and we spent the week exploring and looking for an option to catch trout for big surprise on Friday. They updated social media said they are currently open fri-Mon. So even though nobody answers the phone when we tried to call on Wednesday and Thursday we wanted to trust that their website, that Google, that Apple Maps, all shows they are open Friday. Friday morning we checked out of our hotel drove there to find a sign that says we are open Friday through Monday and another sign next to it that says currently closed. As you can see in the picture, it is 1 PM on a Friday when they're saying they should be open... super bummed because we don't have enough time before our flight to find another option and we had planned on this all week. Maybe another year we can try to catch a trout.

You don't have to bring anything at all and a fishing license is not required. So if you think of all that savings right up front for a one time fishing event, you can't beat it! You have to keep every fish you catch and you pay for fish by the inch. So for an entire day of fishing, where we caught 6 nice size trout (see pictures) we paid $125 and left a 20% tip on top of that. Thats still cheaper than buying two fishing licenses for the girls buying one for me, because I would have to have a license if they are fishing, buying rods, reels, bait, and find a place where they're actually going to catch fish. If you know what you're in for when you get there and pay attention to the pricing there's absolutely nothing to complain about. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend for any family taking their kids fishing for the first time.
