E.g. one specifically liked playing in water, one really liked the cow's molasses in buckets nearby, some had a little bit more sass than the others, etc. The little tidbits that she gave for each horse was a clear indication that the staff & owners cared for and loved these horses - this is enough for any animal lover to want to support this business. It also made it easier to connect with and understand our horses to make the experience more enjoyable. HCT was otherwise fairly priced & reasonably understanding if customers are running late. The trails were beautiful and unique. The dogs running along with us were entertaining. I couldn't have asked for a better time! Note: They have a little outhouse on the side, but unless you're ok with those, be sure to use the bathroom before!

We did a 2 hour private ride with a group of 12 and it was amaaaazing! The aspen groves are beautiful and the view from the top is awesome! All of the beauty without the work of hiking to the top. We also bought the cowboy hats that they sold for $30 in their store, and it brought the photos to the next level! Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable!! The horses were sweet and so so we'll trained - those horses live the best life! If you are going to go horseback riding in Colorado, your research is done - this is the best place you can go.

Took our deposit, called and texted multiple times the day before while we were on a white water…read moretrip, got a call from him as soon as we got back to the phone, wanted the other half of payment (which he said was supposed to be due upon arrival) , we sent the other half immediately (same as we did with the deposit 3 days prior) , got confirmation of the time/ place. Woke up early the next day, got to the spot 15 minutes early, sent a text, called... waited 40 minutes called again.. waited 5 minutes called again, spoke with neighbors around where we were supposed to Leave out from to no avail. Extremely disappointed. Been to Colorado multiple times on multiple rides with personal animals.. first time every paying for an outfitter and was sorely disappointed... do better Mr. Travis. Sharing in hopes he doesn't do it to someone else whos looked forward to something like this all week after driving 20 hours. Currently on the phone with bank getting debit card deactivated trying to recoupe some funds from it. Been to horse camps all over the south/west and never encountered this. This was my first time in Colorado and this was my favorite experience out of the entire trip! It's such a beautiful way to see the Rocky Mountains. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and will make you feel at ease throughout the ride. I did the three hour and I highly recommend it but be aware your legs and booty will be hurting for a couple of days haha!! Still worth it! Granted, We were at the end of the season, but they should have stopped weeks before - I would not…read morerecommend. I felt so guilty even riding the sleigh with how miserable the horses were, but another person in our group had purchased all the tickets in advance as a treat for everyone The "trail" was complete mud and rocks and the horses were working so hard they had to stop and rest every few minutes - Thankfully, they allowed them to rest, but they should not have even been operating in those conditions! The ride was painfully rough. Absolutely not worth the $50 per person! Everything was dirty slush by mid-March, but the trail is more of a track, no wooded area, not really any views. The horses were absolutely miserable - dragging a loaded sleigh thru icey, muddy riches. They have a small paddock - I wouldn't even call it a pasture. And no shelter - Yes, these horses are content to stay outdoors 99.9% of the time, but they should have an optional covered area available at least.
