Really great morning ride. Friendly and informative staff. Well kept stables and healthy looking horses. A highlight of our Colorado trip! Thank you, Bear Mountain Stables!

Photo op midway through ride. Trail guides Rachel and Liz positioned the horses and snapped a shot.

Our experience was amazing! Beautiful, scenic ride up and down the trails on the mountain over rocks and through trees. Trail guides Liz and Rachel were awesome! So informative and helpful. Our group of 4 had a fabulous time! Highly recommend!!!

We've had such a great experience riding horses this fall at Bear Mountain Stable. Horses are so well behaved and so sweet! Marie walked us through all information we would need to know before the ride. She is very welcoming and a great host! Horses are trained and they already know where to go. Relax and enjoy the ride in the pine forest We all had an amazing time!

What a fantastic experience! Marie was an excellent guide and very friendly. You can tell she loves her horses and what she does. They have a beautiful property and great trails. Some parts have more incline/decline while other parts are flatter & calmer, which kept the experience really interesting and fun, yet also relaxing. Definitely beginner friendly - my wife had never ridden before and she had a blast. Highly recommend.

    Riding the gorgeous trail.

Amazing scenery! Thoughtful hosts. Great pleasant instructions before the ride. The horses are clean, healthy, and well behaved. Small party of 4, all wearing masks, and what a double blessing because the dry parts are a bit dusty. Worth every penny. Great quality time together. Highly recommend.

    Birthday trail ride

My daughter and I took a trail ride for her birthday and we were so pleased with the experience. The owners were so kind and let my daughter hang out with the horses after we were finished! Beautiful trail! We will be back for another ride soon!

    Ember was a great horse.

The family had a great time at Bear Mountain Stables today! Marie was easy to communicate with over text for booking & follow up questions. My kids are 12 & 10 and not experienced. They felt comfortable & loved the horses. Helmets for everyone & a nice lesson in the beginning left the whole group at ease. The trails were beautiful, winding up & down narrow tracks. Thanks Marie to you & your family for sharing your stables & beautiful horses.

Do you have rides for 2 or 3 people who are actually riders? IE: not head to tail walking.

We're a more challenging ride due to the mountain terrain, mostly a walking ride, and a single track trail through the forest. So, by nature, it's nose to tail. But we do… Read more

We both have experience with this company from rafting the Upper Salt River in AZ. Unfortunately the water levels didn't cooperate but, the rafting company modified the itinerary to give us the best possible adventure possible. Day upper upper Browns Canyon which led to class I've and the use of duckies. Operation am not a fan but, half of our group loved them. We were then driven 1.5 hours away for our dinner and tent camping (3 miles from our put in). Ryan and Eric our guides cooked a great meal and catered to the group. We awakened to a mist and heavy fog, which we were served pancakes and sausages for a warm breakfast, and let's not forget hot coffee. We then departed at 8:30 for our trip down the Royal Gorge were we hit class in rapids, lots of class 3s, great geology, good company, lots of fun and a great experience. Ryan our lead guide and Eric did a great job for 2 days of providing us a great experience and memories. You have many choices but from a personal experience this is the best company to deal with. We are already planning next year's multi day trip.

You can choose wet suits, dry jackets etc... It was 75 degrees in July here so our family split between wet suits and dry jackets. The latter was the better choice. You take a 30 minute school bus ride and some quick safety instructions (thanks Erico!) And then get assigned to your boat. Ours included 8 of us and a guide. Honestly that was too much but okay. Our guide was Tristan who was fantastic. Funny and engaging with fun facts along the way. But more importantly you could tell he was taking safety seriously. Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!
