We reserved a pontoon boat for July 4th when we got on the boat it was very old and run down. Seats were torn and the pieces of metal were coming off in the back. They didn't give us an anchor which made it very difficult to park the boat and swim around. In addition, the boat seemed to have weight distribution problem. We had numerous times where water spilled over the front even with only a few (3-4) people standing in the front. I spoke with the workers at the dock and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say about our experience. Overall, we dealt with these problems and still have fun, but I would not rent from them again. They need to keep their boats in better shape and listen to their customers. read more

Our family has rented several times from Indian Peaks Marina! This is a fun thing to do, and the scenery is just stunning. We rent a pontoon boat, gassed up and in the water. Carry your gear on board, fishing poles, picnic lunch, etc. Leave the dock and take a lovely tour around Lake Granby. The boats are rented by the hour, but I recommend renting for at least 2 hours to get around most parts of the lake. Our last tour was 3 hours, and we stopped to take a dip, did a little fishing, and had a picnic lunch. There were 7 of us and plenty of room! Our grandkids loved this trip, and it creates a nice memory of family fun! If you don't want the hassle and expense of owning a boat, this is a fun vacation option! The people at Indian Peaks Marina are very informative, give you a map, tell you how to avoid shallows and rocks. They fitted all the kids with life jackets. They help you get out of the dock area. You pay for the gas you use and the rental fee, no surprises! I highly recommend! read more

We had a disappointing experience with another marina in Granby who gave away the boat we had "reserved". We called Indian Peaks and asked if they had any boats available for that afternoon. They told us that they had a premium boat available for the remainder of the afternoon. When we arrived we ordered food from the adjacent restaurant to take to-go on the boat. The people who were using the boat before us took longer than expected to return to the dock so we missed a few minutes at the beginning of our rental. The gentleman at the dock told us that they would work with us on the expense for gasoline when we returned to compensate for the slight delay. The boat was nearly new, beautiful and worked perfectly. The dock worker was great at making sure we were prepared for the rental and that we checked the condition of the boat together before renting. We enjoyed our afternoon on the lake as a family enjoying the sights and exploring the canyon of the Colorado River on the lake. When we returned to the dock, the gentleman who helped us park the boat said that we wouldn't have to pay for any of the fuel we used during our rental! This was a very generous compensation for the few minutes that we missed at the beginning of our rental. Indian Peaks Marina demonstrated to us that they value their customers and want to ensure that they have a wonderful rental experience. We have decided that renting from Indian Peaks Marina will be a regular part of our camping trips to Grand County. We will be renting from them again and look forward to the opportunity to do so. So, today we tried to launch our 2008 pontoon boat for the first time. We came up from Granby from north of Denver and believed everything the guy we bought the boat from said. Loaded up with friends and snacks, during the decontamination process we found that out that the engine wouldn't even turn over. The ranger suggested Indian PeaksMarina, so we went immediately. Landry and Jacob went so far over and above for us, diagnosing the issue right in the parking lot and then fixing it on the spot. We headed back to the sunset launch ramp, got her in the water, and couldn't get the engine to start. THEY GOT IN A BOAT AND MOTORED OVER TO US ACROSS THE LAKE. Seriously. Who does that!? Connected to our boat, came aboard, and after more fixing and adjusting, we got to take out boat out for the afternoon. They literal turned a super sad say into a renew,a in the belief that people DO the right thing and actually care about their fellow human beings. If you are ever anywhere near Granby, Shadow Mountain, Grand Lake , or just diving through, I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Not sure why Yelp decides to move these reviews as "not helpful". Quite the opposite, they are quite helpful if you can read these and avoid this place. Here is what I put: Operational disaster. It starts at the top and works its way down, and down being the operative..and only word for this place. Terrible customer service, damaged my personal property, failed accountability, zero customer service, micromanaged, and terrible food. They winterized my boat which promptly collapsed during the winter. Failed to secure tower which then did damage to my seats. During dewinterization, they cut the lock THEN called to ask me where keys were. Really? Couldn't be bothered with setting up the tower they took down during dewinterization. Said my battery was dead, now I kinda question that knowing what I know now. I sure wouldn't trust them at this point. They failed to contact me for preference on mooring, said they would contact me to make it up but never did, even after a couple attempts at getting an answer. When I asked for some assistance with mooring while I maneuvered for 1 evening, they quoted me standard rate for gas dock (don't forget, they really screwed up already and I was stuck with nowhere to go because of their mistake). So much for taking the high road, they went low the whole time. "Manager" went to ask the owner after my indirect questioning of the rate in exchange for their mistake, and the owner said "standard rate", and was quite brusk and unforgiving, unwilling to allow for any discussion. The "Manager" not empowered to make a $50 decision in the face of $5-$10k of future business. Owner needs to get off the boat, manager needs to act like, or be empowered as one, as they will do nothing but kill their own business. Don't do them any favors by patronizing them, they're a train wreck on water. read more

What a horrible example of customer service! Parked at their oversized unused parking lot to eat next door at a restaurant. I was planning on spending whatever it took to acquire a boat slip for the week if one was even available. Rude little teenybopper girl asked what I was doing. I explain. Oh, okay just don't park here overnight....in a sassy rude manner. Okay, we weren't planning on it. By the way I spoke to the guys at your gas dock and they said you might have a boat dock available for the week. No. We don't. They already asked and we don't. Another snotty little teenage come back before I even completed my sentence! Who is teaching these kids let alone letting them represent the forefront of their business???? I can't wait to spend my money at every other business in town besides there's. Still a crap hole...... ever since Nortons Marina. So sad. read more
