Not flexible on cancellation. I booked 2 days before. Things came up and I tried to cancel one day later. It was for 2 people. It's not like we ruined their schedule. Thanks Mad. read more

Big Ben and trainee Keith provided an amazing half day trip down the Colorado for my family. Lots of laughs and great conversation. A definite recommendation. read more

This was my very first time white water rafting and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, it was nothing but fun and excitement. Our guides kept the energy high with jokes, games, and tons of interesting information along the way--there truly wasn't a dull moment. We even got to stop at the hot springs, see some wildlife, and learn all about the area with very detailed but lighthearted explanations. The views were absolutely stunning, and the whole adventure felt scenic and refreshing. Jumping off the cliff was such a thrill too! I couldn't have asked for a better first rafting trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure filled with fun, knowledge, and beautiful nature! Btw ask for Big Ben aka ginger grizz read more

We had a great time on the upper Colorado rafting with Kendell on a beautiful summer day in July. Our group of 11 was split between two boats 6-5 which was great when we decided to become a splashing "war boat" midway through the trip. Kendell provided lots of great commentary on the roughly 2-hour journey (about 5 miles on the river). As this was the family-friendly trip, things on the water were fairly tame and with low water levels it wasn't too much paddling-amusement park rides are much more aggressive-but we all had a great time nonetheless. If you are looking for an action-packed extreme rafting, this isn't it but if you want to have a fun time of the River, I highly recommend it. How it works: -meet at the starting point shelter, sign a waver, use the bathroom and get a briefing, get fitted with a life jacket (required) and grab an oar -ride a converted school bus for 30 minutes to the put-in spot on the River -listen to a safety briefing -15 min -load up and start floating/paddling -after around 2-hours on the river, disembark and hang out while they load up the rafts and people use the bathrooms -ride the same bus another30-40 minutes back to the starting point, decide if you want to purchase a photo (very pricey), then head out in your car -for us total time from start to finish when we left-around 4-1/2 hours. read more

Last Tuesday, my boyfriend and I took the Upper Colorado Rafting trip with Ben and had an amazing time. He gave great directions so we felt safe. On the bus ride to the place where we took the rafts out and throughout the time in the river, he gave us tons of funny stories and information about the areas we passed. We hope to return to CO again and do a rafting trip or winter excursion soon. We loved it! read more

We had an amazing time white water rafting with the crew at Mad! Our kids 6 and 9 had a blast! James our tour guide was knowledgeable, funny, and had a great spirit to him! He helped make the trip a very memorable one! Plus, the scenery was epic! Saw a black bear on the bus ride down and a bald eagle flying through the canyon and land in its nest. Cliff jumping was definitely the highlight! Thanks again for a great time! read more

First rafting experience and chose MAD Adventures. Kass was awesome! Professional, experienced, patient - and fun. The day was beautiful and we had the opportunity to jump off a 25 foot cliff - it was awesome! I'm 62 years young and did it! Highly recommend! read more

We had a group of four moms, and six kids ages 5 to 8. You could call us "city folk", and we were excited, but a tad nervous about our river excursion out of Kremmling. Well, it ended up being the highlight of our vacation! We were on the river for about 2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time for the youngest. The rapids were exactly the right level for the whole family, and the kids loved the fact that they got to paddle. Our amazing guide, Elliott, was so kind and patient with the hundreds of questions our chatty kids and parents threw at him every other minute, and he gave great directions and narrative about the area we were rafting in. The booking process was easy, and when I called and spoke to Krista, she patiently and kindly asked every neurotic question I had. Kara was our bus tour guide on the way to the river, and her jokes and exposition rivaled the Disney Jungle Cruise (that's right, I said it). She was also amazing with all the kids. At one point, we stopped at a spot along the river that had the perfect depth and rock to jump off, and she offered to jump alongside a little girl who wanted to jump, but got nervous when the time came. Everyone was accommodating, safe, and patient. Biggest thanks to Elliott for making our trip so memorable! We'll be back- 10/10. read more

Such a fun time on the water! Our boat guide, Emily, was super cool and made it so much fun with all the stories and jokes. Absolutely loved the optional cliff jumping!!! The process to get into the water was the reason I'm only docking a star. It could have been faster and more efficient, such as by signing waivers as you check in or going over the safety talk on the bus ride over. Great work overall by the whole team by making it a safe and fun experience! read more

Lots of fun. Awesome tour guides. Highly recommend. Beautiful area to see and experience with this groups help.

Trying to find a better place for some rafting? Forget about it! My buddy Keith Chris and I had a blast. It was a little smoky but that only added to the adventure. KC said he felt like Indiana Jones escaping with some ancient artifact on a raft. read more

My family and I had a fantastic time in Winter Park on our rafting trip. The three guides we met were helpful, thorough, patient and funny. Our guide Kellan (?) was amazing! They eased any anxiety for newbies and threw in some challenges when wanted. I was so impressed with their knowledge and passion for what they do. This is a great way to expose your family to rafting. read more

This is our third year rafting with Mad Adventures, we love this outfit! The guides are incredibly experienced and safety is their primary focus. This is simply a must do adventure while near Denver or Winterpark! Also fun to dine in the nearby town and shop before or after. Our kids have loved this from teen years to young adult, they always ask to go back! Great job guys and thanks Zach for a great run this year !! read more

We had a great time. Zack was the best. Great dad jokes. Booking the trip online was so easy. They were very organized and safety conscience, which put my adult kids at ease. The views were awesome. I wish we had done the full day trip. If I had to find 1 thing that needed improvement, I would say that I would have like the photo package to have more pictures of our trip, and less of the stock pictures they included. We will definitely be back. read more

MAD Adventures - Rafting/Kayaking Near Me - Winter Park, Colorado

We went on 2 adventures with MAD adventures. We first went on the Upper Colorado with Allison and Joe. The river was beautiful. Both guides were fun, knowledgeable, and very attentive. You could truly see that they loved their jobs and wanted to share their experiences with others. The next day we took the side by side 4x4's up the Continental with Will out of Winter Park. The cars were great! Although the clouds had come over the mountain by the time we made it up to the top, it was amazing. We went back down to the sunshine and had a picnic overlooking the valley. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Our second trip w/Mad and it was great! We took the upper CO trip and did so many fun things on our raft w/our guide, Kass! If you're looking for an awesome time, laughs, scenery and just a beautiful time on the river then sign on for a MAD Adventure! Our guide Emily was chill and super knowledgeable! She made us feel relaxed and knew some super corny jokes which are a must on the river! She was great at creating conversations and knew how to give gentle but strong commands. Our 12 yr old was on board and had a great time (especially getting wet doing the Ride the Bull)! It was a beautiful time on the river and we can't wait to take another MAD Adventure and hopefully with Emily! read more

Our tour guide was Zach C. so much fun amazing experience. He was very knowledgeable of the nature and the history of the minors. Amazing dad jokes made it even more fun. Even on the bus ride he pointed out interesting facts about the land and plants on the way to the river. I know my sister loved the information about the Aspin tree. Awesome experience thanks Zach. read more

We did the snowmobile tour on 5th Jan 2020 at 1130am. Weather was perfect sunny and visibility was great. First time riding these devices and it's no rocket science, super easy and intuitive. After initial paperwork and waivers our guide Olivia (super friendly and enthusiastic) gave the operating instructions and safety procedures (~10 min) and we were good to go. The tour was 2 hours long and I definitely recommend these guys. View was breathtaking and stunning all the way. A must do. read more

ATV tour was awesome and well worth the cost for such a unique experience. Tanner is the man.

Well organized, easy to book by phone. Trip was as described - rafted Upper Colorado which was very mild, perfect for grandparents and small kids for their first time. Barely got wet unless you wanted to, pretty views and friendly guide (thanks Ibsen). Looking forward to doing the more intense one next time - would definitely use this company again. read more

First time in Winter Park, CO and it definitely doesn't disappoint! Was recommended to give Mad Adventures in Idaho Springs a try for a rafting rush. This was nothing short of a f*ckin blast. The entire crew was friendly from jump. They make safety their no. 1 priority but definitely don't skimp on the fun. Zach was our guide and he was bad @$$! Very knowledgeable and made the trip that much better. Highly recommend this place, will be back soon!! read more

Emily was an amazing guide and it was a blast to go rafting on my weekend trip to Colorado!

We took a 2 family trip to the upper Colorado with Laney. Our ages were from 4-yeah... lol! Out of the 8 of us only 2 had rafted, we all had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the trip! She was a super awesome guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and told us a lot of fun facts and jokes! We thought the trip might be pretty boring since you could take kids that young but it wasn't at all. Every staff member was super friendly and they took their time to make sure everyone was safe and having fun! read more

This was a super fun adventure! We ended up going here instead because the other company we booked with had bad river conditions, and I'm so glad we did. All of the workers at this location are so high energy and helpful, I would definitely do it all over again. read more
