We had such a fun adventure with Dani, our guide! She gave us lots of fun facts about Breckenridge and Browns Canyon and kept us entertained the whole way down the river. I HIGHLY SUGGEST going for level 4 because we did wish we had a bit more rough waters on our trip. The ladies on the phone suggested level 3 even though I stated we were comfortable for a higher level of adrenaline. We're pretty fit and athletic and felt the Brown's Canyon at level 3 was a bit too slow for us. We wanted to feel adrenaline!! Haha Kids 7/8 and up would love level 3! The photographers need to be better too because they didn't get a single good picture with all of us in the picture so we couldn't buy a photo. :( Overall great trip, great company, clean equipment, super friendly staff! P.S. The water is pretty cold so I highly suggest getting a full suit and booties. read more

My wife and I visited Colorado over the 4th of July weekend. We learned about KODI Rafting from the hotel concierge. This was a great experience! From the moment of arrival, the staff worked as a team to get the guests geared up, informed and feeling safe. Joshua, our tour guide, was great! Personable and helped us really enjoy the overall experience. The only criticism is the lack of photos for my group (Beginner, 11AM group, 7/3). Thought there would b pics of us available. We took our family of 6 on a whitewater rafting adventure this week with Kodi Rafting. It was a great activity for our entire family. Everyone had a wonderful time and it's difficult to find something that all our kids enjoy (kids ages ranging from 8-18). We loved our experience and would most certainly do it again! I ended up with a dislocated elbow while in the care of Kodi, which caused me to almost drown. I had to go to the hospital but am still experiencing pain, going to physical therapy weeks later, and have mounting medical bills. What was worse though was interacting with Dave afterwards. Instead of offering an apology, offering to help with my medical bills (or even refund what I paid), he reacted with pretty extreme personal offense when I asked him to file a claim, and said I would file a lawsuit if he did not. The guide did come to the hospital, but left right away (despite telling me he was going to stick around). No call from Dave or anyone else the next day. Not only that, he told me it is my fault I ended up in the water and hit a rock and had my elbow dislocated (at least two others in the raft, likely more, ended up in the water too). I was following the instructions of the guide, and still ended up in the water and injured. He also told me someone was taking pictures of me with my arm dislocated in the water, struggling to breath, and that I was trying to stand up (which they advise you not to do, and is something I recalled during this experience). When I asked why someone was taking pictures of me with a dislocated elbow and not trying to help, he became extremely agitated and harsh. I think it was a very valid question. Dave is trying to spin the narrative to present himself as the victim here, even though I am the one who experienced an immense of pain and had a mangled arm. I would strongly advise working with another company instead of Kodi, as you might get injured, and if you do get injured, you might end up being berated by the company owner and blamed for the injury. read more

I would definitely recommend Kodi rafting if your're looking for taking a rafting trip in Colorado. We've done the Brown's Canyon half day trip twice and had a blast both times. The guides are fantastic - they help teach you the ropes quickly and keep you involved so you don't simply feel like a passenger in the boat (my suspicion is that for most float trips, the guide could probably give you almost the same ride if you did nothing, but that's no fun, is it?). Our trip featured a few class 3 rapids - our guide (Maci) navigated them well but made sure that the ride included enough thrills to satisfy the adrenaline rush. With our most recent trip being the first with our 11 year old, we never worried for safety. We'd definitely book a trip with Kodi on our next trip to CO. read more

We booked a 1.5hour, level III white water rafting trip in Buena Vista, Co. A great family owned business that was well organized and has great, friendly employees working for them. This was our first ever white water rafting trip and they made the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend them. Our guide was Jackson so make sure you ask for him to be your guide! He was great! Make sure you grab some coffee or hot chocolate from their snack bar! The customer service was one of a kind! read more

First timers rafting and we LOVED it! KODI did a great job! Our guide Emma was super! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and you could tell really loves what she is doing! She stressed safety and prepared us for the upcoming rapids each time with a great explanation and plan of attack. We did the Browns Canyon 1/2 day trip, took about 2 hours to raft the 10 miles. We chose not to rent the wet suits, shoes or shirts, but if it were a bit more chilly we might have. Wear sturdy shoes that can get and stay wet the whole time if you choose not to rent their booties. Your feet will be wet the whole time. Your participation makes or breaks the experience in my opinion. Be prepared to row and get wet and you will have the TIME OF YOUR LIFE! We will be back! Thank you KODI and Emma! read more

We had a fantastic one hour rafting experience with KODI rafting on Father's Day. Our guide, Adam, was really good and I was impressed with how organized the trip was. The water was cold 38°F, so we rented the wet suit, waterproof jacket, and booties, so glad we did! We got soaked and got to experience some class three Rapids. Our trip to Colorado couldn't have been complete without a wild ride down the Arkansas river. We originally planned on a rafting trip down the Blue River, but due to low water levels the staff called us to explain other options. We decided on the two hour Arkansas river trip in Buena Vista and we are so glad we did!! Our guide Brad "Decisions" was an extra measure to our trip down the river! He kept us entertained with his witty humor and easy conversation. The beautiful Colorado scenery made the trip even more special. Brad was a knowledgeable expert on all the topography, but more importantly he gave us a great ride on the rapids! We highly recommend Kodi! (with wet suits, and booties even in late June). You won't be disappointed! BTW the town is super nice, with great shops and restaurants! read more

Came down to Buena Vista from Breckenridge after choosing Kodi from a recommendation. Had a fantastic full day run of the numbers, with Ian as our guide. He was great, knowledgeable, a wizard at raft-steering, with lots of great info and experiences doing rafting and kayaking around the world. We were first timers and we're very glad we picked the numbers instead of the more mellow Browns Canyon - it was exhilarating but never felt unsafe. The crew at Kodi was great, and super efficient. I will say they full day is a bit of a misnomer - it really refers to how far you go on the river. We were moving quickly, and so were back before 2 after a 10am start.(half day just does the numbers, full day goes about as far again down the river). Not a complaint at all, just something to be aware of. read more

We took a rafting trip with Kodi in Buena Vista. Our experience was phenomenal from start to finish. When I called to book, Ryleigh fully explained our options and helped us pick the best trip. When we got there the staff was awesome at helping us decided between splash jackets and wet suits and booties and did a great job fitting us and making sure all our gear was correct. And the rental fees were extremely reasonable. And lastly we can not say enough about our guide Ben. He did a great job adjusting our trip to the level of our rafters, gave us a lot of information along the way and was a lot of fun. My daughter will be requesting him as a guide when she and her friends raft later this summer. read more

I have been down the Arkansas out of Buena Vista a number of times. Kodi came highly recommended on my most recent trip. OMG our group was not disappointed! Our particular guide, Riley, knew the river and made our experience amazing. Our other party was with Noah and he did an awesome job. Honestly, the other two guides did an awesome job from what we heard from those groups. These company is not experienced professionals. They don't ride together but other company boats ride together and take care other boats if there is any issues. It is not guides issues and it is management issue and they have trained guides. Guide left us middle of the Creek in Idhaho Springs for 1:30 mins and went some where. I never experienced this before i did in multiple people. When i called management to inform this issue someone picked me and he challenged me on next steps and he rude. I did a half day on the Brown's Canyon, this was my first time ever doing something like this and I absolutely LOVED IT! The gear they have to offer is great, the bus trip to the river was nice too with all the views and the instructor was knowledgable about things all along the river which made it even nicer. If you are in Colorado and want to go rafting, THIS is the company to do it with. We heard good things about their company and they had good ratings but we still didn't know what to expect. They were friendly, fun, knowledgeable and showed this amateur rafter an amazing time! We brought our 8 year old son on the trip and he also had a blast! On the ride from the outpost to the river site, they went over a number of safety measures, which reassured us that they knew what they were doing. But once we were on the river, it was cool to watch them navigate the waters while having us participate and enjoy the ride. I can't recommend these guys enough! Our guide, Evan, was very nice and showed us a number of landmarks along the way and because of his expert instruction we were able to navigate even the tiniest of spots. All the guides were extremely friendly and the staff at the office were helpful and nice. Whenever we find ourselves in this part of the country (we are Floridians) we will definitely be coming back to Kodi. They were the best! read more

We loved KODI rafting! Our 3 families filled 2 rafts and had a BLAST with Brandon and Lizzy! We chose the 2-hour intermediate rafting ride through Browns Canyon - we had 13 yrs to 50 yrs on board with some very nervous and others super excited. Our guides kept our rafts close together (as much as possible) so that we could enjoy the experience as a group. By the time we finished the 3-mile warmup everyone was excited and thoroughly enjoyed the splashy fun in the next 7 miles. The entire process from check-in to wrap-up was fast and efficient, the staff and guides are super friendly, and we will definitely plan on going back. read more

We took our 5 year old on her first rafting trip with Kodi this past weekend due to this being one of the only companies that would take a young child. We did the Colorado River w/ the crew near Kremmling. The crew is a well run machine! They made everyone feel super comfortable and had fun with the guests. They had stories and history of the area to kill the time while driving and told jokes the whole ride back. It's the little things... You can tell these guys love their job and it makes for a wonderful customer experience that will result in positive word of mouth. Enjoyed all aspects: the safety briefing on the bus, the thorough explanations that were provided - all helped for first timers (and good reminders for the rest of us). Reagan was our guide, she was great, shared a lot of information about the canyon along the way. Talked us through the more technical parts ahead of time so we knew what to expect. The river is a little low this time of year, but it was still a fantastic day on the water and the 8 year old can't wait to do it again. I had a great experience rafting with these guys. We did a 1.5 hour easy float down the Colorado river, and it was a lot of fun! Our guide, Donny was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared plenty of facts about the area, his own rafting experiences, and even some jokes along the way. I really liked that we stopped along the way to check out a historic site, a natural hot spring, and to swim in the river.
