    After our river ride!
    Kimberly M.

We had such a fun adventure with Dani, our guide! She gave us lots of fun facts about Breckenridge and Browns Canyon and kept us entertained the whole way down the river. I HIGHLY SUGGEST going for level 4 because we did wish we had a bit more rough waters on our trip. The ladies on the phone suggested level 3 even though I stated we were comfortable for a higher level of adrenaline. We're pretty fit and athletic and felt the Brown's Canyon at level 3 was a bit too slow for us. We wanted to feel adrenaline!! Haha Kids 7/8 and up would love level 3! The photographers need to be better too because they didn't get a single good picture with all of us in the picture so we couldn't buy a photo. :( Overall great trip, great company, clean equipment, super friendly staff! P.S. The water is pretty cold so I highly suggest getting a full suit and booties.

Our family of ten did a full day guided rafting trip down Brown's Canyon with Derek and Macy. We had an absolute blast and the guides were accommodating and truly engaged the kiddos. We had 11 yo, 10 yo, 8 yo and 7 yo along with grandparents. Highly recommended for this area.

    Views were beautiful!

We booked a 1.5hour, level III white water rafting trip in Buena Vista, Co. A great family owned business that was well organized and has great, friendly employees working for them. This was our first ever white water rafting trip and they made the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend them. Our guide was Jackson so make sure you ask for him to be your guide! He was great! Make sure you grab some coffee or hot chocolate from their snack bar! The customer service was one of a kind!

What a great day we had whitewater rafting with Brad, Catfish and Red. They were great guides who watched out for each other's groups on the water and made us all laugh a lot. We also learned a lot about the river, mountains and ColoraDefinitely worth the long drive we made to get there.

We had a great afternoon rafting! Our guide, Sam, went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and adventurous trip! So happy we booked with Kodi during our stay in Colorado!

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! If you are considering rafting in Colorado, go with Liquid Descent. I'm so glad we did!

You can choose wet suits, dry jackets etc... It was 75 degrees in July here so our family split between wet suits and dry jackets. The latter was the better choice. You take a 30 minute school bus ride and some quick safety instructions (thanks Erico!) And then get assigned to your boat. Ours included 8 of us and a guide. Honestly that was too much but okay. Our guide was Tristan who was fantastic. Funny and engaging with fun facts along the way. But more importantly you could tell he was taking safety seriously. You fill out the wavier paperwork, get a speech from one of the workers, and go through the line to your life jacket and paddle. They also have shoes for rent if you need them. The bus ride to the launch point is about 30 minutes. The staff do their best to keep everyone entertained while your on the bus; telling jokes, telling you facts about landmarks, and the local area. When you get to the launch point it's about another 15 minutes before you get on your raft. They go through another 5-7 minute speech about the water, how to maneuver, and all the safety stuff (just in case crap goes wrong). Then they split you up into groups and you load the raft. We truly had a blast on the raft and I never felt like I was at risk of injury, or unsafe through the entire ride. From start to finish it was about a 2 hour trip; but it went by really fast. I could have rode the river for at least another 1-2 hours. It was super chill and some of the rough waters (class II and III) didn't last long but made the ride very exciting. We did stop for about 30 minutes at a point where you can jump off a cliff. There is a 25 foot cliff as well as a small jump spot for kids (my 4 year old jumped from the small spot). I did go up to the 25 foot jump (along with about 30 other people). Jumping was not a problem at all because you walk up to the edge and simply walk off for the jump. They don't give you anytime to look around, think, or get scared. 30 people jumped off in less than 7-8 minutes. It felt great!! The ride back to the main store was much shorter; about 15 minutes. Overall we had a great time and it was well worth it.

Be prepared to be paired up with other families who may talk your ear off and miss commands from the guide. That got a little frustrating since we were literally there to raft only. The scenery is gorgeous and they are accommodating. be prepared to pay extra for anything, of course, as per usual. they also ask for tips which is understandable, so be prepared for that. the bus ride out to the river is long and uncomfortable when sitting next to people you don't know. extroverts' dream come true, but again, if you don't like having your ear talked off, you may want to avoid.

Lunch is not 'gourmet' as they claim, but catered from Subway, but still tastes really really good after a day of rafting. Okay, maybe it's 'gourmet' if you consider that they brought both water and pink lemonade coolers on the rafts! Not only does Adventures in Whitewater offer lunch on the river, but we also stopped at a cliff from which you can jump off 25 feet into the water. For anyone who wants to try cliffjumping but also wants it to be safe, this one's for you. There was also a smaller cliff for those a little less daring. We took the 'beginning to moderate' river tour, but due to low rainfall was disappointingly uneventful (June 2013), kind of like tubing down a river really, with very few rapids. Fortunately that was the only disappointing part of Adventures in Whitewater. These guys are pros, everything was well coordinated and a bucket of fun.
