Great family paddle on Lake Dillon! We did the Island Tour (9-11:30am) with 2x 2-seaters & 1 solo (15 yr old) to cover the 3 kids and had an incredible time thanks to our guide Brittany. We made it 5.65 miles in the 2.5 hrs, saw a beaver, ospreys, blue herons, & the bald eagles nest. Will definitely do again!

    Lake Dillion views.

Great morning activity! Our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting making sure to point out wildlife (Lots of blue herons and ospreys) as well as facts about the area. Amazing views of the mountains the entire time. Would highly recommend!

My family had so much fun kayaking. We loved the entire experience. You can't beat the beautiful mountain views and perfect temperatures. Our guide Brittany was amazing. She was great teaching us the basics of kayaking since it was our first time. She was very knowledgeable about the terrain, history and other exciting places in Summit County. This excursion is a must if you're in the area!

Great activity if you are staying in Breckenridge. It was a 2 1/2 hours of kayaking along the Dillon Reservoir in Frisco. Britney was our tour guide and she was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable as all along the tour she was sharing some history and fun facts. She takes very seriously safety first including proper alignment for better and safe kayaking performance. It was a very well paced tour so any level of expertise can join such adventure. Definitely the earlier thr better. We did a noon expedition and weather was great on that specific day. The following day I drove bye and water was choppy around thr same time. The tour guide also takes a pictures of you and you get free upload! We didn't take our phones so this was priceless! Thanks Britney for an amazing tour! We'll see you in the near future for another adventure.

We did our kayak tour in June while visiting CO and it was probably the best thing I booked for our trip. Our guide (Britney!!) was awesome at instructing us as first-time kayakers and was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us plenty of information about local wildlife and landmarks we saw along the way. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting the area!

Very knowledgeable ( a lot of interesting facts) and gorgeous area. Pictures taken by tour guide were not as expected and advertised by him but I'm sure they can do better. The pictures on this review are the ones I took, even though he insisted he would take good pictures of us. We only got 3 and 2 of them were not on the water or of the amazing view.

Must do! We took our teen daughters out for the sunset paddle. Extremely professional, all gear was ready for us. Instruction was given prior to getting in kayak. All levels can participate. Those of us that can kayak well we're allowed to lead the pack.

We have done kayak tours on Lake Dillon with Adventure Paddle Tours every year for over a decade, and we keep coming back. The guided tours are great for a family and are an amazing way to see Summit County from the surface of the lake. Depending on the tour, you can see much of both the Gore Range and the Tenmile Range. Our tour guides are very knowledgeable and can teach you a lot about the ecology and history of the area on your tour. On one tour, for instance, we learned all about the history of the Gore range and the man for whom it is named (a pretty terrible aristocrat who claimed to have slaughtered over 2,000 bison in the 1850's). The tours themselves are not too strenuous, with the 90 minute family tour providing a nice way to see the lake with younger children, and the 2 1/2 hour island tour giving a more comprehensive trip around the lake. I would highly recommend you make a kayak tour part of your visit to Summit County.

This was a great tour! We spent about 2.5 hours or 7 miles on the water. Ryan is very knowledgeable, not only about kayaking, but also about the wildlife & geography! I highly recommend checking this tour out if you're in the area!

This was the best kayaking experience I've ever had! We took a wonderful tour with a tour guide named Kyle. He kept the speed at a medium pace which everyone easily kept up with. I suggest wearing a lot of sunscreen and bring a hat. Also, it's cold in the mornings, but after you're out on the lake, you start to warm up. So a tank top and jacket would be perfect wear! It was about 3 miles total and was a piece of cake! Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this awesome kayak rental!

This year, I went early season on Clear Creek and loved it so much I came back late season for Gore Canyon- an adrenaline-packed, fun adventure! The day started with a swim test to make sure everyone was prepared before tackling Class V rapids. (Honestly, if you're not a strong swimmer, this trip isn't for you, they do test your swimming in the rapids and throughout the trip over half of the people across our 5 rafts ended up in the water at some point! Additionally this would be quite the dive into the deep end if you've never rafted before!) The trip was an incredible mix of thrills, skill, and crazy beautiful scenery you would not have guessed was there when you drive into Kremmling. Midway through, we stopped for snacks, and when we wrapped up, the crew served a delicious lunch and cold beers (NA options were there too!) such a nice touch after a big day! What sets Liquid Descent apart is the crew. Every guide I've had has been dedicated to making the trip special. I've talked to them and many of them have said they specifically choose to work here because of the company's extra training and the sense of community. I even met the owner yesterday at Gore Canyon, and you can tell the company's passion for customer experience comes directly from the top. Specifically the last 2 guides I've had, Jordan and Malia have been awesome! Yes, most rafting companies use the same put-in/take-out points and similar gear but the experience is what makes the difference. With Liquid Descent, the guides make sure it's the best it can be and their love for their job ensures you're going to have a great time. I've rafted with other companies in locations where liquid descent isnt and know: the right guide changes everything. If you're looking for an unforgettable rafting trip in Colorado, Liquid Descent is the company to go with!

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! If you are considering rafting in Colorado, go with Liquid Descent. I'm so glad we did!
