Solid experience with Stand Up Paddle. We needed to rent additional paddleboard for our group of 6, so looked them up, reserved one quickly and headed down for a 9 am slot on Saturday. Couldn't have been any easier as was on the water in minutes to meet up with my friends who jump on the lake from the boat ramp. They had free lockers to keep your backpack in + free waterproof bags in case you wanted to take your phone with you or any other valuable. Was a perfect calm morning and Dylan was great helping take the board in once we were done. Glad we chose them as we were sure which part of the lake to rent from or where to go, being from out of town. Sure you might have more islands to paddle around if rented on the Frisco side, but we loved being the only ones around in the late morning and had a great time paddling across to the shore + down and around the first inlet. Couldn't have been happier + 2 hrs gives you a lot more time that you think. Plenty of time. A quick reminder that the rental shack is at the end of the marina after you walk past the public restrooms and other little shops. read more

Had a beautiful afternoon on Lake Dillon. Amazing views! Camille was very friendly helping us with gear and safety rules. After about an hour and a half of paddling around we realized we had taken a wrong turn and were trying to paddle into strong winds when they showed up in their boat, loaded us and the kayaks up and drove us back to headquarters. A five star day and a five star experience! Stand Up Paddle came recommended to us as a day-out adventure. We were staying with my brother in Arvada and Lake Dillion was about a 1.5hr (gorgeous) drive. Ahead of the trip, I went online to book my husband and I two paddle boards. The site is easy to navigate, and offers services in Dillion, Vail, and Colorado River. At $50/person for two hours, it seems a bit pricey, but still worth it! The small shack is surrounded by kayaks, canoes and paddles, and sits right along side the lake. We loved how simple the process was upon arrival. We checked in, the friendly staff gave a brief tutorial, and were out on the water within minutes. The boards themselves were super quality and clean. As for the views, see photos! Hot tip: GPS maps won't take you right to the SUP location. It will take you to Lodgepole St. and from there, it'll turn into Marina Dr. and when it does turn left into a large parking lot, park here. From there you will have to walk to us along the water for a few minutes. If you think you have walked too far, keep walking :) Stand up paddle boarding is the craze taking on the waterways for good reason. Give it a go! read more

It's taken me 2 1/2 years to write this review due to the trauma my family and I endured using this shitty reckless business. Their system of keeping track of rentals, and who is out on the water is chaotic, and essentially non-existent. The owner/manager who sent my 5 year old daughter and I on a kayak together told us lifejackets were optional, and most people just use them as a backrest. He told us to paddle an hour out and then turn around and come back. As we were taking in the views after paddling an hour out, a gigantic 45 minute rainstorm came in and nearly killed us. I am not a dramatic type... but this was the scariest thing I have ever been through. If I had not 2 months earlier duckied (inflatable kayak) 55 miles down class 1 through 5 rapids in Idaho at the beginning of the season, there is no way I would've had this strength to keep our kayak afloat. Big waves surrounded us and the storm was pushing on one side, attempting to flip over our kayak with every wave. Boats were whizzing past us as we're shouting for help and my daughter was screaming and I was coaching her on blowing a whistle she had as many times as possible. After the storm passed, I paddled back to shore expecting someone to at least meet us, or help us in any way possible. Instead, I got yelled at to paddle further and park my kayak in a different spot. They seem to have no knowledge that we were even out there. As my 5 & 7 year old kids were sobbing and I was asking the owner why he had no gauge on the weather, or who was out on the lake during the storm, or even tried to help us as we were coming in, he offered us stickers. Over the past 2 1/2 years we have had to spend thousands of dollars on therapy as one of my kids developed fears and separation anxiety and the other one has become deathly afraid of rain and high winds. It has impacted their everyday lives... All because of this business and owner/manager. I hope he suffers the consequences of his reckless thoughtless dangerous actions one day. Nice shack with some yaks and paddle boards. Pretty spendy though, $50 for 2 hours on a kayak that costs about $200... over priced but great easygoing service. I liked how simple the process was. Literally, sign this, charge card and you are out on lake Dillon in less than 5 minutes. The yaks are not that great if you are tall though... if you are over 6'3" I'd look elsewhere. Over priced, and to top it off we came back to some of our stuff stolen! Apparently all the paddleboarding. Around here is pricey, but what was annoying about here is you HAVE to pay for 2 hours. We only stayed out for an hour, that was all we wanted. The weather wasn't good, but that wasn't their fault. If we could have only paid for a half or one hour that all would have been fine and I'd be happier with the price. They had us leave our bag in a tent thing, we had nothing valuable. When we got back our bag was thrown to the side with our towels and shirts in the sand. They seriously stole suntan lotion! Really!?!? If you're not smart enough to bring you're own don't steal someone else's! If they had just used a little - still stupid - we never would have known. Easy to book on-line, super hard to find. At the end of the Dillon Marina, keep walking and it is run out of a storage container. I booked single kayak 2 days before and the morning of they gave me a bigger one because previous renters put holes in their boats (according to them). I asked why didn't they let me know and I'd rent elsewhere. One of the guys did try to smooth things over where another was antagonizing. Lake Dillon is awesome and the day was beautiful! I would rent in another location as this one you start on the part of the lake where the freeway runs close and you can hear the traffic noise. read more

We pre-paid 2 tandem and two single kayaks over the phone before arriving at the cove. When we arrived it was chaotic. Manager Dan was asking who had already paid trying to get those people to the front of the very long line. When it was finally our turn, there was only one single kayak available. We were told to wait down by the water since tandems should be coming back. It was 30 minutes before anyone returned. Six of us took turns between the single and tandem. I asked for a refund on the other single and tandem I had already paid for. The manager Dan told me to email the company and they would take care of it. I did and got no response. Being ignored. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAID FOR. RUINED OUR FAMILY DAY OUT ON THE LAKE. read more
