Not sure why things have changed so much at this shop in one year. It used to be a wonderful store, as noted in my review last year. Between an obnoxious rude manager arguing about why I had to pay for what I assumed was a free ebike checkup (bought it at Epic) last week and then waiting at the check out counter during a visit today for 10 minutes without a single employee even noticing I needed assistance, this isn't the quality experience Vail Resorts touts.Maybe the poor management is rubbing off on the employees.... read more

We bought skis for an 18 year old this year from here. Bill "Ski Bum" was awesome in helping us find the right match to go from Demo to purchase. However, the computer systems were not talking and neither were the employees. We spent days, hours at the store. Only Bill and Connor seem to know what's happening. read more

Epic Mountain Gear - Frisco - Atomics, ask for Bill - Ski & Snowboard Shops Near Me - Frisco, Colorado

Great service. Quickly fixed my flat at great price. This is my go to place in Summit Co. While waiting have lunch at Whole Foods next door!

Do not go to this place if you need a bike tuned. They over inflated my bike tires causing me to crash

If I could give Bill McCall a ten star review I would. He went above and beyond to help me procure new heals for my boots, that are my favorites, so I can continue to use them for a few more seasons. He had to research and then actually go get them to install them. He even got me extra sets because I have more of these boots. Who gives this kind of excellent customer service? Bill McCall at Epic Mountain Gear in Frisco. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! THE BEST. read more

Brian, the bike mechanic at epic gear. Frisco is incredible! My road bike was having some trouble and I expected to pay a lot for new shifting parts. Howeve, Brian was able to overhaul the gear shifters on the handlebar and solve the problem. only save me a bit of money, but save these parts that he resurrected from going to the landfill. Hooray for Brian at epic gear in Frisco! read more

I worked with Bill M. at Epic Mountain Sports in Frisco to get just the right new skis and bindings. He was fantastic! He brought out many options and even found me a purple Marker binding to match my skis. I had a lot of questions and felt he cared to take the time to get everything right, Bill also worked with his ski Technician to get everything installed quickly as we were leaving town soon. I highly recommend going to the store as they have great selection and Service. Bill was a lot of fun to work with too . As a local here for many years, he had lots of good advice on other things for us to do. read more

We have been to Epic Mountain Gear several times in the last 12 months - multiple times during the very busy Spring Break weeks. Mitchell has worked with us several times to fitting our son's boots and molding foot beds. This year we went back to buy specific boots - which they did not have and Mitch did not try to sell us on something we didn't want - which we really appreciated. We did, however, find the boots at another shop in Vail (which did not trust to mold and fit our son). We brought them to Epic Mountain - Frisco and Mitch wasn't working - but Pat the store manager took the time (1hour+) to listen - fit - punch out - mold the boots for our son! I highly recommend this business. They treated us with the utmost respect and listened to our boot concerns. Nice job and THANK YOU! read more

Rude cashier, asked for help she pushed me to the side and helped a family instead Wouldn't help me find the single item in stock, so I had to buy an entire set read more

Came in for boots for my husband and I mentioned to the employee, Bill, that I owned my boots but had trouble with the fit of my right boot. He offered to take a look at it. He was able to make a few quick adjustments to the liners and insole to make them fit better. He was very knowledgeable and shared his expertise with us. Thanks Bill! read more

We went to Epic with two separate appointments for two kids to get fitted and set up for the junior grade program. At 1pm on a Saturday we were the only people in the store, but the staff there were checked out. Four older staff guys congregated at the front of the store chatting while we were delegated to a poor clueless teenager who didn't know much about their inventory or the junior trade program. I went up to the front of the store 4-5 times to ask questions about sizes and what to get but none of the guys bothered to come back and help us. We left with used boots and board and no bindings. Luckily, we ended up at Mountain Sports Outlet for the bindings and found Bill and Androo who set us up with everything. An hour later we returned the wrong size board and boots at Epic. Definitely not the right place to go if you need help finding and fitting ski/snowboarding gear for kids. read more

Bill McCall was so helpful in getting my boots fitted just right and even waxed my skis, very knowledgeable and an overall good guy

I had a good experience with one of the employees named Austin. The day before I had rented Performance Skis with boots and that didn't work out for me. I fell several times skiing at Breck. I returned them for different ones that day and Austin accommodated the switch of Demos and was very nice about it. Great personality and very helpful. The skis he gave me were soooo much better. I had an awesome day skiing the next day at Keystone thanks to Austin. read more

I went to Epic Mountain Gear in Frisco in search of some ski equipment and was fortunate enough to work with Bill M. ! Man does that guy know his stuff! Everything from the new trends in skis, boots, boot warmers, bindings to goggles. He went over and beyond giving me numerous choices explaining each option and when picking out bindings made several trips to the back room to find just the right color binding to match my skis ( something I would not normally care about but they are perfect!). If you're looking for someone who has expertise with ski equipment Bill is your go to guy and the store itself has everything you need including really nice clothing. read more

shoutout to bill for being the greatest boot fitter I have ever met. he helped me back in November with my boots and totally changed fixed the fit. I brought my brother in to get his boots fitted as well and he loves them. Bill spent well over an hour fine tuning my boots while also adjusting my brothers. Never felt rushed and he didn't charge anything for all the work he put in (tip your local mountain people tho :) ) thanks bill!! read more

Epic Mountain Gear - Frisco - NEW SKI BOOTS - Ski & Snowboard Shops Near Me - Frisco, Colorado

I went into the Frisco store to get some help with a "hot spot" in my 5 year old Lange boots. Bill Mc Call assisted me by listening to my description of the problem. He punched out the boot and added a little bit of a lifter so that my ankle bone was no longer rubbing and getting bruised. I have skied 12 days since the adjustment and I have no pain. I am delighted with the accuracy of Bill's diagnosis and his recommended solution. I would suggest this store and this employee to anyone with boot issues. Bill basically saved my early season ski holiday with this adjustment. read more

Stopped here on way to mountain to try and change helmet to solve a problem. Jason was great didn't try to push me into most expensive item, and the new "bucket" fixed problem. Couple days later after Demo-ing a ton of skiis, I found a set that worked well for ne. Called and Jason answered and found what I wanted and held fir me. Arrived and he was tied up, but Ryder git me set up and even though they were getting towards end of day, git my bindings mounted so I will be ready for first thing the next day. Great help and service. Prices? I didn't even shop because their service and availability to provide what I needed trumped trying to find bottom dollar. I do think they were comparable to other shops locally. read more

This store is gorgeous, they have everything you need and plenty that you want! My daughter who is short like me found the perfect black ski pants for $150. We looked for an hour at the shops at the base of Copper Mountain and they had only long ski pants that were super expensive, so we were stoked to find these Obermeyers, as she had grown out of her hot pink ones. The staff was super helpful and nice. Highly recommend. read more

Bill the boot guy is AMAZING!!! Bought some boots earlier in the season at the Epic Mountain Gear store in Littleton. Was excited to wear them on the mountain but they HURT sooo bad on day 1. Took them to the Frisco Epic Mountain Gear to get them looked at. Bill did some scans and other "tests" and immediately knew what to do. After a few tweaks, he completely saved our ski trip. He was able to adjust my boots so that I was able to ski the rest of the trip. Bill for the win. Thank you!!! read more

Truly Epic service from bootfitter Richard and manager Pat in fixing my daughter's boot fit issues! After a painful day in new boots purchased from another Epic location we came in hoping to get a few tweaks done. But Richard started from square 1 to ensure the right boot and the right fit. Pat took care of the transaction and we left planning for happy feet after an epic day on the mountain tomorrow. Thanks!! read more

My binding snapped in half in the mid afternoon and by the time I found a place on the mountain, it was late afternoon and they didn't have the ability to replace the bindings. I was bummed to think I was going to need to rent a pair of skis for the rest of my ski trip. My friend suggested I go to EPIC Mountain Gear in Frisco and check with them. by the time I got there is was probably 4:30 in the afternoon. The place was super busy and the ski tech was backed up with work. I can't recall the sales person's name (Ashley maybe ?) but she was super helpful in helping me find the binding I wanted. They didn't have my size so she upgraded me to a slightly different model for no charge. In addition to that, she got the ski tech to jump in and mount my bindings and I was out of there in a half hour. Nice people, hard workers and super helpfull!! read more

Two weeks in a row, we had issues with our ski gear and not only was the staff responsive, they went out of their way to help us right away and not allow our ski vacation plans to get disrupted. In both cases the manager, Patrick, was friendly, understanding, and most helpful. But even better was Ryder, who not only did an excellent job with our skis, he prioritized so they were done in just a couple hours. I have been a patron of Epic up and down the front range of Colorado for many years, in most cases before many of the stores were even acquired by Epic, but hands down the Frisco store is by far the best. Thank you Patrick and Ryder. read more
