Brian, the bike mechanic at epic gear. Frisco is incredible! My road bike was having some trouble and I expected to pay a lot for new shifting parts. Howeve, Brian was able to overhaul the gear shifters on the handlebar and solve the problem. only save me a bit of money, but save these parts that he resurrected from going to the landfill. He brought out many options and even found me a purple Marker binding to match my skis. We have been to Epic Mountain Gear several times in the last 12 months - multiple times during the very busy Spring Break weeks. Mitchell has worked with us several times to fitting our son's boots and molding foot beds. This year we went back to buy specific boots - which they did not have and Mitch did not try to sell us on something we didn't want - which we really appreciated. We did, however, find the boots at another shop in Vail (which did not trust to mold and fit our son). We brought them to Epic Mountain - Frisco and Mitch wasn't working - but Pat the store manager took the time (1hour+) to listen - fit - punch out - mold the boots for our son! We went to Epic with two separate appointments for two kids to get fitted and set up for the junior grade program. At 1pm on a Saturday we were the only people in the store, but the staff there were checked out. Four older staff guys congregated at the front of the store chatting while we were delegated to a poor clueless teenager who didn't know much about their inventory or the junior trade program. I went up to the front of the store 4-5 times to ask questions about sizes and what to get but none of the guys bothered to come back and help us. We left with used boots and board and no bindings. Luckily, we ended up at Mountain Sports Outlet for the bindings and found Bill and Androo who set us up with everything. An hour later we returned the wrong size board and boots at Epic. Definitely not the right place to go if you need help finding and fitting ski/snowboarding gear for kids. read more

I had a good experience with one of the employees named Austin. The day before I had rented Performance Skis with boots and that didn't work out for me. I fell several times skiing at Breck. I returned them for different ones that day and Austin accommodated the switch of Demos and was very nice about it. Great personality and very helpful. The skis he gave me were soooo much better. I went into the Frisco store to get some help with a "hot spot" in my 5 year old Lange boots. Bill Mc Call assisted me by listening to my description of the problem. He punched out the boot and added a little bit of a lifter so that my ankle bone was no longer rubbing and getting bruised. I have skied 12 days since the adjustment and I have no pain. I am delighted with the accuracy of Bill's diagnosis and his recommended solution. I would suggest this store and this employee to anyone with boot issues. Stopped here on way to mountain to try and change helmet to solve a problem. Jason was great didn't try to push me into most expensive item, and the new "bucket" fixed problem. Couple days later after Demo-ing a ton of skiis, I found a set that worked well for ne. Called and Jason answered and found what I wanted and held fir me. Arrived and he was tied up, but Ryder git me set up and even though they were getting towards end of day, git my bindings mounted so I will be ready for first thing the next day. Great help and service. Prices? I didn't even shop because their service and availability to provide what I needed trumped trying to find bottom dollar. This store is gorgeous, they have everything you need and plenty that you want! My daughter who is short like me found the perfect black ski pants for $150. We looked for an hour at the shops at the base of Copper Mountain and they had only long ski pants that were super expensive, so we were stoked to find these Obermeyers, as she had grown out of her hot pink ones. Bill the boot guy is AMAZING!!! Bought some boots earlier in the season at the Epic Mountain Gear store in Littleton. Was excited to wear them on the mountain but they HURT sooo bad on day 1. Took them to the Frisco Epic Mountain Gear to get them looked at. Bill did some scans and other "tests" and immediately knew what to do. After a few tweaks, he completely saved our ski trip. Two weeks in a row, we had issues with our ski gear and not only was the staff responsive, they went out of their way to help us right away and not allow our ski vacation plans to get disrupted. In both cases the manager, Patrick, was friendly, understanding, and most helpful. But even better was Ryder, who not only did an excellent job with our skis, he prioritized so they were done in just a couple hours. I have been a patron of Epic up and down the front range of Colorado for many years, in most cases before many of the stores were even acquired by Epic, but hands down the Frisco store is by far the best. My binding snapped in half in the mid afternoon and by the time I found a place on the mountain, it was late afternoon and they didn't have the ability to replace the bindings. I was bummed to think I was going to need to rent a pair of skis for the rest of my ski trip. My friend suggested I go to EPIC Mountain Gear in Frisco and check with them. by the time I got there is was probably 4:30 in the afternoon. The place was super busy and the ski tech was backed up with work. I can't recall the sales person's name (Ashley maybe ?) but she was super helpful in helping me find the binding I wanted. They didn't have my size so she upgraded me to a slightly different model for no charge. In addition to that, she got the ski tech to jump in and mount my bindings and I was out of there in a half hour. Nice people, hard workers and super helpfull!! read more
