Choate's installed a complete HAVAC system for us 9 years ago. I called them on a Friday because…read morethe AC was not cooling. Was given a Saturday appt. from 1-7 PM. The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.

They sent one guy out who didn't have the tool to open the outside outlet to the sewer line. Then another guy showed up he didn't have any tools either. He then moved through my front yard like Karnak, The Magician using ESP to decide I needed to replace my entire sewer line for $15,000. What these con artists were really selling was a 15 year loan to pay for the sewer line replacement. I kept saying I only needed my main sewer line reamed out. Oh, that was going to cost anywhere from $700 to $1000. These guys are not plumbers. Do Not Use Them. And for God's sake don't sign anything. The guy kept pushing this clip board at me saying, "Sign it. Sign it." The whole operation is crooked. ~RUN--WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE~

In addition to damage, very unprofessional! Prodigy Plumbers were sent by my home warranty…read morecompany. Prodigy Plumbers created a leak from not completely caulking around the faucet replacement. On first visit by Prodigy they found where water was dripping from the faucet into the tub, no damage to anything, just drips, which was why our waterbill was so high. They replaced the faucet in upstairs bathroom on 6/2/2023. On 6/3/2023 while son was taking a shower, water began to drip from the kitchen ceiling on the first floor, creating a water stain. I called Prodigy about the problem, they returned on Monday 6/5/23 and found and fixed where they had left a hole in caulking around the new faucet. I asked about the resulting damage to my kitchen ceiling from their error and they stated they don't do that type work. I asked were they going to pay for the damage they caused and they directed me back to Choice. Choice explained they were not liable for the technicians damage, and advised to contact Prodigy for their damage. I did and the lady who I assume is the owner was very nasty and rude. She first kept saying they don't do drywall work. I understand that, when she finally let me speak I explained this was not previous damage from the faucet leaking. She then put me on hold and I suspect she spoke with the technicians. She then comes back and says well they don't do caulking they only did it as a courtesy. No one asked or told me "they were doing as a courtesy???" they replaced the faucet. Regardless, courtesy or not, they created the damage. She then became very rude, wouldn't let me speak and hung up on me. Do not use this company, if they create damage they do not want to pay for it. I have now opened a civil suit to get them to pay for the damage they created.

When pipe replacement was completed, a freeze damaged cylinder in the shower was discovered, causing a leak, overloading my septic tank. I was informed by John, that the part had been ordered and should arrive in about five days. When I heard nothing further, I began calling. After numerous calls, receiving assurance the repair would be completed, and a note to the company web page, that was not answered, there is still no repair to the leaking shower. Other than the unfixed leak, all was good and timely.
