I bought my first car this past May from Northway, and had a smooth sales experience. Negotiated what I thought was fair value, did my research, looked at the car fax, and was able to get out of the bs LoJack charge. Drove 2 and a half hours the next day and test drove it before completing all the paperwork. Our salesguy, Timothy, although a nice guy, did not know ANYTHING about the car, and I would not recommend working with him if you want a sales guy who actually knows the car he is selling. I asked him a lot of questions to which his answers were "yup that sounds right" or "im pretty sure", including confirming the "new brakes" it had said in the listing. A month later I bring the car to my local trusted mechanic and it completely fails inspection. Not only did I get a quote for $1350 for all new brakes, which Timothy had told me were new, I also as told there was a rust hole in the rear frame from a previous collision. I had looked at the car fax and it said minor damage, but this was frame damage and a dented gas tank, which was not made aware of. I had to take a day off work to drive the 2 hours and change back to the lot to get them to fix it. The service woman was nice, however the patch job that was done was not. A proper patch would have been drilling the rust out and welding a metal patch on but instead they spread body filler over the rust and called it a day, allowing the rust to spread without me knowing. They did kindly replace the brake rotors, but this should have been done before I bought the car or at the very least make me aware that they needed replacement. Then sacrificing my Saturday to pick the car up, they gave it back to me with an 8th of a tank and zero paperwork on what had been done. You won't find your typical sleezy sales guys, at your usual side of the highway used car lot with a trailer for an office (what this place is), but you will find incompetent salespeople promising you a good car without mentioning frame damage and brakes that need immediate replacing. They may have a better deal than others, and be friendly and seem honest, but if you want a car without problems, I would HIGHLY suggest going somewhere else.
