HTOAB was quick to respond to my request and even quicker to get someone scheduled to come out and assess the situation. Many others that we spoke to wouldn't even set foot in our home without charging hourly fees. HTOAB not only came in and let us know what we had and what we needed for it to work, but they also offered many options and suggestions for our home. Everyone we worked with was very friendly and responsive always addressing all of our questions. Carlos was great and we decided to upgrade our living room system completely (connecting it to our outdoor speakers as well) and connect the theater room equipment. Even when we had issues with the existing equipment (nothing to do with their company) Carlos came back to trouble shoot until we were happy. Their work is extremely clean leaving you with audio perfection. We were surprised to also have app control of our equipment. All that we wanted was to both get to the house at around 5:30pm to inspect the work but apparently that wasn't good enough for Max. We were not trying to renegotiate the contract. We were trying to enforce the contract to make sure everything was done that we agreed to verbally and written before paying. We both had to abandon our jobs and risk getting fired in order to pay max at around 2:30pm instead of 5:30pm. When we got to the house around 1:15pm, the work wasn't even completed. So why did he threaten to do that? We had to wait another two hours for him to finish before inspecting the work. All the while we are not working at our own jobs. Overall the company did an awful job on my opinion especially when you include the service aspect. Communication was awful too, and I believe there is grout haze all over my marble tile that I may have to hire someone to get off. We were told that the work was going to be finished in two and a half days but it took six days to just put in a new kitchen backsplash! Max didn't even show up to supervise the work during the entire time. It seems that he's not committed to performing everything that he promises to do based on verbal and written estimates. He'll make promises to get the job, but when you ask if he's done everything that he promised before paying him, he'll accuse you of "renegotiating the contract" even though you're just trying to verify that everything was done appropriately. We agreed verbally that I would pay $2100 if he would add knobs to the living room built-ins and adjust the kitchen cabinet. The written quote was for $2000. Initially he verbally quoted $1800. I never said or implied that I wasn't going to pay him. My advice is to the owner is to not threaten to damage the home of clients before the work is even complete. Ultimately to keep him from acting on his threat, I just paid him the money to get him out of my house. Any mistakes I'll hire someone else to fix. In addition I had my pet project, a moderate media room I've always dreamed about. I put out a request for companies to come by, give me their opinion of what needed to be done with recommendations on equipment. Out of the 4 I interviewed only Robert noted, what might seem like minor things, structural and WiFi issues that might/would affect what I wanted in the end. He came up with suggestions creatively and well within my budget. His first bid was crazy low, I know, weird. I asked him if I gave him 50% more what could he do. He upgraded key components but did not add anything. The original equipment was phenomenal, but the upgrade was unfrickin believable. The images on all TVs and especially the media room are so stunning . The sound, penetrating and enveloping. I do admit, Robert is slow at times responding to texts, calls or emails at first. He has a lot of projects and rightly so. I have had to text twice about post install stuff and he responded immediately, even when on site at another project. On one occasion he dropped everything and came to the house to reset one of the soundbars acting up. If he has availability and you need someone who actually listens to you, digests what you are saying and then implements your vision, not only to perfection, but better, You need Robert Goodall. I appreciate their efforts and time, but once installed they really were not able to problem solve issues. Their final resolve was all 4 of our tvs must have been effected by a power surge, despite all being on surge protectors. Called TV repair guy, who said no way based on channels and sometimes channels work and other times not. Tvs work on channel bands 2-13 and 13 up. Our tvs get clear channels depending on the time of day or tv. Even same time of day, one tv gets clear channel and others don't get it at all. So now we just stream everything clearly.

I had a dead…read moreexterior floodlight circuit that another electrician brushed off in two minutes and told me to replace the fixture. Even after replacing it, it still didn't work. Phillip took the time to actually diagnose the problem. Within minutes of looking around, he spotted a painted-over access cover near the area where I'd had rodent issues. Sure enough, there was a hidden (and improperly installed) connection with loose wires - no junction box at all! He carefully uncovered it, repaired the connections the right way, and restored power using my original floodlight. He was professional, knowledgeable, and fair. He solved a problem others ignored and charged a very reasonable $165. I'd absolutely hire him again and recommend him to anyone who needs an honest, skilled electrician who actually thinks things through.
