I called Dr. K's office to schedule an appointment as a new patient, and unfortunately my…read moreexperience with the receptionist, Margarita, was extremely unprofessional. During the call, she repeatedly asked for my name and basic information multiple times, even after I answered several times clearly. The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.

Have you ever had a MA retake your BP because she was concerned the 3 beats below normal HR was something to double check? I did, with Dr. Hinson's team. The staff are all so kind, polite, and communicative. I've never had a call, text, or email go unanswered. Dr. Hinson himself has a very holistic approach and wants to make sure that X isn't affecting Y to get to Z. His methodologies, tests ordered, treatment plans, are all explained to you with a why and any details you'd want. I am used to a DO, homeopathic leaning remedies, avoiding prescriptions or strong meds if I don't NEED them and Dr. Hinson is on board with that - I'm given options for everything. As a woman; it's also just really nice to have any pain I'm experiencing addressed immediately and no comments on my weight.
