I am SO FRUSTRATED with this doctor. I've been his patient for 5 years now and I've only ever seen…read morehim in person twice, despite needing medical care several times. Apparently he doesn't see people in person unless it's "required." I saw him once in 2019 when he first became my doctor and I was pregnant and over 35, which required an in person apt before getting a referral to a specialist, and then again in early 2021 when two preexisting herniated discs in my back flared up and he had to see me before he could refer me to a new ortho. because my previous surgeon was on medical leave. Outside of that - pneumonia, bronchitis, Covid, mental health, whatever it was - he refused and continues to refuse to let me come into the office and would/will only do apts by phone. Earlier this year I'd been battling a cold I'd picked up from my 5 and 3 year old for several weeks and finally decided to call him to ask for antibiotics. He was so incredibly condescending, telling me that I was jumping onto the antibiotics bandwagon and that all I needed to do was toughen up and wait it out. Several more weeks went by and my coworkers had gotten tired of me continually spreading the bacteria around the office so I called Dr. Cheng again and begged him to prescribe me antibiotics - stressing that it'd been over two months and I wasn't getting better. I was gobsmacked when he aggressively came back with "don't lie to me" and "tell me the truth" several times while I answered his questions about mucous color, wet or dry cough, fatigue, etc. After that I gave up on him and went to urgent care, where I was treated with antibiotics for a bad case of bronchitis. His staff basically NEVER answers my phone calls. I get through maybe 10% of the time, generously. I've listened to the answering machine message probably 100 times but I cannot understand what she's telling me to do. It sounds like she's saying "please don't leave a message on this machine" but then doesn't tell me where to call or leave a message. I just end up leaving a message anyway because.... what else do I do... but it doesn't matter regardless because I don't get a call back. The number I have is 951-354-2500, which checks out with a google search, but just now when I dialed Dr. Cheng answered but scolded me, saying that this line was for emergencies only. When I said I needed to make an apt and asked where I should call, he ended up giving me this same number. I only realized this when I called it again and the same contact info in my phone popped up - only this time no one answered and I got the undecipherable answering message again. I've taken to going in to Urgent Care instead for the stupidest things - things I KNOW I should be going to my PCP for - because I can't get a hold of this office. Currently I've got a piece of bone from a previous fracture floating around in my freaking shin; it's been swollen and incredibly painful for 7 weeks now and I cannot get them on the phone. I only know it is a piece of bone because my boyfriend ended up making me go to urgent care to get an x-ray last week - but beyond that there's nothing they can do and I was told to follow up with my PCP for a referral. I've been calling every day for 10 days now with no success. I'm a 39 year old 90s latchkey kid. Going to the doctor is a foreign concept to me outside of broken bones or life threatening situations. Having to jump through hoops like this after finally conceding to the fact that I need medical attention is a surefire way to make me just give up with it altogether. It's easier to just deal with the pain or illness on my own and wait for it to get better or for me to adjust to it simply as part of my new normal. This is why he's still my PCP. But I think I'm finally done with him. As soon as enrollment opens and I can change my PCP I've got to jump on finding someone else that's taking new patients. Even if it takes a year to find someone I'll likely get in to see them before Dr. Cheng's office ever answers the phone.

Great doctor's office. Sandra is so kind and helpful in coordinating my referrals to specialists…read more Dr. Cheng cares too. I appreciate this office a lot because it's hard to find a doctor's office that takes their time to really make sure your health needs are being met.

The doctor at Low Cost gives shots, fast and effective help. Isn't that what doctors are supposed to do, help people? God bless places like this that help the common man and Mrs. Yelper.

The girl who walked me to the and took vitals was very kind and polite. The PA who... came in barely looked at me she just asked to see my throat, I have asthma , and they have this on file because I've been here before . She didn't check my breathing, she didn't look in my ears , how can you barely look at me or engage with me and your in the medical field ? I'm a human being in need of care and you just seemed to have a sour attitude. The PA LEFT THE ROOM without saying anything another girl returns and says they have prescriptions and shots , I said for what what is it that I have what am I getting diagnosed with , she states IDK , we don't know she's not a doctor so can't run certain test . Wow . if your going into the medical field you should hold some standard of how you interact with people , compassion and care .
