We decided to make reservations for our anniversary this past Sunday. The food was excellent. The bread took a bit of time to come out but we also ordered an app so that was fine by us. The meals were hot and the portions were satisfying. We didn't have enough room for dessert! We were seated by a window which gave us a nice view of the canal while we ate. Although it was raining, it was still quite enjoyable inside. We will be back, and hopefully it won't be raining so we can try their outdoor eating area.

Disappointingly we got seated near a half wall and in a thoroughfare. I got bumped into multiple times by kids presumably going to the restroom and by a bunch of adults who cleared out from the back table along the wall and couldn't manage to avoid hitting me or even apologize for doing so. The seating near the windows began rapidly clearing out 20 minutes to a half hour after we arrived and we would've loved to move but the offer wasn't made. A few tables could be saved per seating especially when you are reserving in advance. Some of the patrons who were seated along the windows were under dressed too wearing baseball caps and workout attire yet they were enjoying the prime views. Our waitress wasn't very friendly or imaginative when asked about substitutes or alternatives we offered to pay for. The bread basket took forever to come out. Our food was good. Not sure if we'll return. Our son is wrapping up his sophomore year at Fisher so we're always looking for nice places to have dinner when we visit but this one didn't win us over.

It's a bit loud downstairs, but it's an old bank, so of course it's got a bit of bounce back with sound. The fault looks so cool too! When I was leaving I noticed they had a shirt for sale and I couldn't help myself! I had to snag one. Very comfortable, I might add! Very much recommend at least trying it once!! Oh and the espresso martini, very delicious!! Not a bad item in sight! Also!!! Kelly our server was so nice and engaging! Thanks so much!!

Two stars, and that feels generous…read more My wife and I recently visited Bonnie and Clyde in Fairport as part of a group of eight, and we left disappointed. At $117 for the two of us, including tax and tip, we expected a lot more than we got. Let's start with the positives. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The building itself is a converted bank, and the old vault is a striking architectural feature, though we didn't dine in it. The restaurant also deserves credit for offering some vegan options, including one vegan entrée. That said, the issues outweighed the highlights considerably. The noise level was genuinely awful. We were at a table of eight and had trouble hearing each other. The space felt sparse and cold, not in a minimalist-chic way, but in an unfinished way. The whole "Bonnie and Clyde" theme has such strong possibilities it's a shame they didn't pursue them. The food was mediocre and overpriced. I ordered two vegan sides instead of an entrée: French fries and a roasted beet salad. I asked the waiter to prepare the fries vegan-style with just ketchup, but they arrived with two sides of non-vegan aioli anyway. The fries themselves were average. The beet salad was fine but small and forgettable. My wife ordered the king trumpet mushrooms, the only vegan entrée on the menu. The mushrooms were decent, nothing more. Her cocktail special, a kiwi and vodka drink, was watery and bland. A few other frustrations: the vegan items are not labeled as such on the menu, which is an easy fix that would doubtless help many diners. There is only one vegan entrée, which feels thin. And Lagunitas non-alcoholic beer is available, but you would never know it, since it does not appear on the drinks menu. We will not be returning.

After grabbing a drink at aurora brewing, we made our way to Richardson Canal house, a place we had never heard of until today. First of all this is a popular haunt for the locals! It is a fun destination for a nice night out and a fairly pricey dinner (50-100 per person is fair) but very good food! Not pictured is a dozen NE oysters which were delicious, as well as house bread which was freshly baked and very moist :) We also had the Moroccan meatballs, which were succulents and well portioned for an appetizer For our entrees we opted for the medium rare tritip 7 ounce steak which was succulent and paired well with the mashed potato! I personally enjoyed the shrimp scampi - the pasta was al dente and the sauce was well seasoned without being salty. I added a bit of chili pepper for a bit of a kick Overall, we did enjoy our dinner at RCH, and would definitely recommend it to people who are visiting bushnell basin! I gave 4 stars because the food was not out of this world per se and you could get similar food at places like good luck or nosh.

We had called ahead for a reservation and the hostess wasn't very pleasant on the phone about a table outside but once we said we'd be happy to eat inside her tone became a bit more helpful. The food was delicious and eating in such a historic atmosphere was memorable. Our server took the time to show us a hysterical painting done of the restaurant and let us see the upstairs rooms. Afterwards we took our wine outside, borrowed some chairs and sat ourselves by the canal in the shade where we watched the boats and Canadian geese swim by. It was a heavenly way to finish a great meal. Highly recommend!
