She was just finishing up with a customer and she told me it would just be a minute. She was right...she took my order and in 2 minutes I was out the door with my hot pretzel and mustard. It was soft, pillowy, and full of flavor. The Pretzel Bakery is a small bakery, but has counter seats available at the window incase you want to enjoy your pretzel there. We tried a few of the IPAs along with a cider and enjoyed everything we had. We also ordered the pretzels, which came out hot and were perfect with the mustard and cheese dipping sauces. Simple, but really good with the beer. One of the things that really stood out was how welcoming everyone was to our dog. They brought him a bowl of water without us having to ask, and a few members of the staff even stopped by to give him some attention and belly rubs. It was a small thing, but it made the whole visit feel especially friendly. The outdoor space has a relaxed neighborhood-brewery feel, especially in the evening with the string lights. Great beer, good snacks, friendly service, and an easygoing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The City of Annapolis requires us to have a seat for every person, even if they're just having a beer, so we have to seat everyone. We've had a host working weekends since we've been open to ensure this happens. Every table has a number on it now, and we should have done a better job about pointing you to that number before (or while) you ordered. I do hope you'll come by another time. Saturdays in June are some of our busiest days, but there are lots of other slower days when you can come in and easily get a table. Again, we're sorry for this experience and hope to see you again!

You'll need two slices of seeded or marble rye bread, about six ounces of thinly sliced corned beef or pastrami, two slices of sharp Swiss cheese, roughly a quarter cup of well-drained sauerkraut, and two tablespoons of Russian or Thousand Island dressing. A little butter for toasting the bread and optional spicy brown mustard round it out. That said, what I actually received was the absolute worst Reuben I've ever had in my entire life. They used ham instead of corned beef or pastrami, an insult to the name. The Swiss was bland and low-quality, not sharp at all. There was no mustard, barely any Thousand Island, and I couldn't even detect any sauerkraut. The bread wasn't toasted, and they still charged me $12.50 with tax. If this is what passes for a Reuben at a supposed German delicatessen, save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing.

Also worth knowing: my friend and I had just ordered around $100 in food and drinks at the end. Nothing finished. No refund offered, no apology, no manager.
