Even though it's a small operation, this pretzel shop truly brings joy to our community. They also offer delicious breakfast sandwiches, pretzel dogs, and various tea and coffee options. I was lucky to get all three of my pretzels from the oven. I especially like how the cinnamon sugar pretzel is topped with icing instead of dust--it's much easier to eat and still gives you that sweet, satisfying treat. The staff are quick and friendly. If they're baking a flavor, they'll let you know how long you'll need to wait for that fresh batch. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside on picnic tables, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

Lots of patrons were picking up take-away and the in-person ordering line moved quickly. Definitely kid friendly with plenty in-door and out-door seating. We placed our order and waited to be called over the PA system. I'm not sure why they call you based on the items you ordered rather then the receipt number, but such is life. The breakfast pretzel was served room temperature, eggs were not to my liking, but good flavor from the bacon and cheese. The pretzel itself self was dry and kinda flavorless. The salted pretzel had a soft interior and crusty exterior with nice salt flakes but didn't live up to my expectations. The pub cheese was a welcome purchase to polish off the pretzel. The sweet pretzel was the best from our order. Pretzel was still dry but the cinnamon sweet topping made the top enjoyable.

I love a good hot dog, I don't care why they're made of, you can never make me hate hot dogs. And when I want a good hot dog that I know is gonna be amazing every time, I'm gonna get the pretzel dog. So here I was on a Saturday night and I smell that delicious pretzel dough, I hadn't eaten like all day so I got 3 pretzel dogs. I was full after 2 and just stashed the 3rd in my coat pocket because it was wrapped in foil and who's gonna know ?? Right, right. So I probably went to like 3 more bars after that. Got home, crashed. Woke up and was like "why is there a hot dog in my pocket?" And did I eat it? Yes I did and it was still delicious. Truly an ode to yet another fun night in fells. Not to mention the service is always friendly and fast. It's so convenient and it's right in the heart of the little square area. So it's always there if you need a little pick me up while hitting the bars or checking out some of the local shops, or even just sitting by the water and enjoying the weather. It's simple and it's yummy.

The beverage menu is extensive with an impressive variety of beers. I selected the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Doppleboch - a "lightly oak smoked and malty amber lager." The food selection - appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees is an authentic German selection. I choose the sauerbraten with two sides - spatzle with cheese and potato dumplings with the sauerbraten gravy. The meal came out in short order after the beer. The meal was very good. The beef was a bit tough and the gravy was a bit sweet. Overall it seemed to not have been vinegar marinated for a week, although when asked, the kitchen stated they marinate in vinegar for a week. The potatoes dumpling with Sara gravy tasted authentic. The sparkle with garlic cheese was very good - some of the best I've ever had. I ordered German chocolate cake with a cup of regular coffee. It was a quite excellent slice of cake! The restaurant is very clean throughout. I would recommend it in this neck of the woods; while if in DC, consider going to Old Europe restaurant on Wisconsin Ave as another authentic alternative.

My father and I went to satisfy our craving for authentic southern German food. We were welcomed and immediately felt like family. We split a sample platter of jaeger schnitzel, sausages and sides. We will definitely be back soon.

I'm a classic salted pretzel kind of guy - they're huge, soft, always hot, and extremely tasty. Each regular pretzel runs about $2.50 and the logs and dogs start at around $4-$5. I've also had their pretzel dogs and steak n' cheese stuffed pretzel rolls - both are really really good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order here. They only accept cash so remember to take a few bucks with you on your trip to the Dutch Market; they're located near the exit so be sure to stop by on your way out.

These are perhaps the best pretzels you will ever eat. They are fresh, hot, gooey, and huge, and yes I'm talking about the pretzels. They also have perhaps the best Banana Milkshake I've ever had (and I've been told the rest of their shakes are equally stellar). They're dirt cheap and worth the drive to Maryland just for those two items alone. What to get: Hot Pretzel, Banana Shake What not to get: Hot Prilosec, Banal Sheikh Lydianne's is the highlight of the Amish Market in the MD countryside, about half an hour East of Washington, D.C. which is the capital city of some small country, I forget which one. The Amish know how to make this sort of food. In Philly, the culinary highlight of the whole region may be Miller's Twist... fresh lemonade, hot pretzels, and amazing shakes. In Ohio, the best shake and roast beef in the state is at Hartville Kitchen - an Amish paradise as Weird Al would say. But the pretzels and shakes at Lydianne's not only rival those, they may beat them. Certainly nothing in the DC area comes anywhere close, and even though they have limited hours (I think it's just Friday, Saturday, Sunday, mornings), you must make the journey out here, and once you're in the market, make a bee-line for Lydianne's, get a pretzel, get a shake, your life will be changed forever. Don't say I didn't warn you. This is coming from someone that never even liked pretzels before I met the Amish, and who loves shakes so much that I have probably tried 1,000 of them across America. Now if I just put you to sleep, lift your Lyds and get over to Maryland and try this immediately. Thanks very much to Mo (who is from Buffalo, not from MO) for insisting I go here. Which I am about to do again. Be back in a Mo.

I did the house dry rub and old bay dry rub. The house dry rub, to be honest, was bland and flavorless. The old bay seasoning was very good. I wish the wings had come with more. For $15 you get 8 total wings. It didn't feel like great value. What is great value and tastes great are the Bavarian pretzels as well as the buffalo chicken dip. You truly can't go wrong with either one. They have a robust drink menu. They are lacking a cider on tap but it is what it is. While this might not be the most glowing review on its surface, Bronson's gets 5 stars for its atmosphere and ability to accommodate a wide range of food and drink desires. I was in the patio with friends, in the corner, not bothering anyone -- not fighting, not yelling, not approaching strangers. Security walked up, said there was "a complaint," refused to say who it was from, refused to say what it was about, refused to let me talk to the manager, and refused to even let me back inside to grab my own card. My friends asked him to stop. He ignored them. This is the second time their security has unfairly targeted me. The first time I had just stepped outside to take a phone call. The same guard ran after me and started accusing me of stealing -- but couldn't say what was supposedly stolen or who had complained, because nobody actually had. I told him my laptop and jacket were inside at the bar and that all the bartenders know me. He eventually apologized once it became obvious he had nothing. Same guy, same pattern, different night. Also worth knowing: my friend and I had just ordered around $100 in food and drinks at the end. Nothing finished. No refund offered, no apology, no manager. If management thinks letting one guard humiliate paying customers in front of their friends is good for business, here's your feedback. Plenty of better pubs in Arlington that actually respect the people
