I was thoroughly shocked with how good the Birria quesadilla was due to it being made in the truck. The best I've had in the area, even from other restaurants. (This review is from visits in August and September of 2021 and September 2022) - This truck frequents the Annapolis Food Truck Fridays spot. The birria tacos were delicious. The meat was tender and the tacos were quite full. Make sure to dip them in the broth! The queso dip was cheesy and I loved the chorizo. The quesadillas are a favorite of mine. The quesadilla is always stuffed full with chicken and cheese. The lettuce and pice de gallo are always fresh. All the interactions I've had with the employees here have been great. They greet you when you step up to the truck and thank you for your business when you leave. The prices are just right as well. When you order, they give you a buzzer that buzzes and vibrates when you're order is ready, so you're free to walk around the market and patronize other businesses instead of waiting right next to the truck. They came to our community to a line of waiting customers! I bought the Barria Tacos and they were delicious! Nice and finger lickin good! The meat was tasted fresh, succulent, juicy and was shredded perfectly. I didn't get cheese on mine, they were topped "Mexican style". The soup for dipping was not spicy at all and didn't have as much flavor as I expected. I LOVE spicy heat! The team was nice and pleasant. My only advice would be to flavor & spice up the dipping soup, not just with heat, although it could use more than that green chili sauce provides. I will definitely be back. read more

It's fine. The folks were friendly and fast. I grabbed an order of tacos al pastor which weren't bad, but I've definitely had better. The pork was a tad tough. I get things cost more nowadays, but I'm pretty sure I can get better al pastor tacos for a lot cheaper than here. I see this truck at various food truck festivals, so maybe I'll try some of their other options and see if it's any better. read more

Very good food! This food truck was at The Brumwell's Flea Market. They have actual ground beef tacos & taco salad which was hard to find here in Pasadena. The flea market has closed but I just found out they have opened their own restaurant called Don Pancho Mexican Grill on Mountain Road. Good authentic tasty food! read more

My Son bought me a El Jefe Rice Bowl with Chicken, Beef and Carnitas and he got a Fajita Burrito. The Rice Bowl was just ok, it was too much lettuce for me and it came with Guacamole, I wish it came with Sour Cream too. I guess I'm just use to Chipotle's Rice Bowls. My Son say his Burrito didn't have enough meat in it, and it had too much Rice. I'll try something else if we cross paths again. read more

Ate there once and likely will not again. I probably shouldn't have ordered a burger from a taco truck, but the picture made it look real good. I got the California Burger and fries. Both left flavor to be desired. The burger was passable but the fries weren't even salted. Probably the worst part of the experience though was waiting 20-25 minutes for my order to be completed, while the other customers who ordered just before me were gone in about 7 minutes. Now, I don't know if this was because I ordered a burger and it just takes that long, or if it was the fact that the guy who I thought was running the taco truck left with his kids to visit 2 other food trucks and left who I assume was his wife by herself there. He came back two or three times, saw me still standing there, looked confused, talked to the lady (I don't speak Spanish, so it may not have even been related to my order) then left again. I don't know if the lady was actually working on my food, I saw her walking back and forth inside the food truck eating and drinking herself and I didn't get my food until after the man finished taking his kids to the other food trucks and came back. The Mexican food looked good as well, and I would have gone back to try it, if it weren't for this experience which made it seem like I wasn't cared about as a customer at all. In the end, I didn't even get a "Sorry for the wait." The only reason I'm not giving a 1 star is because the food at least wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't order the burger and fries again. read more

We had the shrimp tacos, chicken burrito and the guacamole dip. Not bad but nothing extravagant. The guacamole dip was good with a little kick to it. Although I believe we were one of the first few customers, the truck didn't have the proper change when we paid cash. The wait time was not bad and they put food out rather quick. read more

I was pleasantly surprised how delicious my tacos were. I got 2 beef and 1 el pastor. There was plenty of meat and the flavors were amazing. I was very happy with my tacos being a So Cal girl to get some great tacos in MD. They gave me a pager to know when my food was ready, which was great so I could explore other food trucks. read more

The food was OK but their promise that placing an order early in the day will guarantee it will be ready at a specific time is useless. We ordered in early afternoon, paid in full for the order with a credit card, and chose a late afternoon pickup time. When I arrived at that time, my order was not ready. While I waited, I talked with others who were waiting. Two of them said they were recent "walk ups" and had not pre-ordered online. They received their orders while I still waited. When I suggested to the cashier that they should not take more "walk up" orders when they were already behind in finishing pre-orders, she lied and said they were not taking "walks ups." It was another 10 minutes after that conversation before they even started my order. They have been at this new location only twice. I won't be back and I doubt that they will get any kind of following with their lack of customer service. I guess they figured that they had my money already so there was no reason to produce my order on time when they could, instead, get even more money by serving walk-ups. read more

So this food truck was very disappointing. My wife ordered one of the rice taco bowls and I got the surf and turf quesadilla. The food was ok really nothing special and a little over cooked. The real issue was the wait. It took them over an hour and a half to get that order to us! It wasn't even that busy. I think they made a mistake by having too large a menu and it slows everything down. The one positive thing I'll say was the churros were really good. read more

Ordered the three taco special, they were out of shrimp and carnitas. Took food home to eat it and was underwhelmed. The tacos were basic "taco kit" from the grocery store. The meat lacked seasoning and had a fair amount of gristle. The side of sour cream was warm and curdled. The queso dip was awful; it was akin to the cheese you get with chips at a ballpark or skating rink. All in all, not authentic and not tasty. read more

Went to EFVD food truck Friday tonight and ordered chicken taco bowl and ground beef tacos. Both were inedible, chicken tasted old the whole tjing was nasty. Ground beef tacos had cubed beef??? that also tasted old, like they were getting rid of leftovers stay away. read more

It is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING when I ate at Break the Borders on a Food Truck Tuesday at Earleigh Heights Fire Dept. The girl that took the order wore a mask, HOWEVER, there were two people cooking the food, one wearing NO MASK, and the other had his mask pulled down the entire time as he played on his phone in between cooking. Today my wife and I got a surf & turf quesadilla, a mango burrito bowl with pulled pork and chips with queso sauce. Our son got tacos and charros. All were excellent, and the service was very pleasant. Also moderately priced! Definitely was a good experience, and we will be going back next Monday when the truck is back. read more

Today was my first time trying breaking the borders food. I really didn't have a good experience. Is nothing more terrible than wanting to eat tacos al pastor and when they give it to you it looks more like I ordered vegan tacos. Barely any meat, no pineapple, almost the whole lettuce head. After seeing that I lost my appetite. I can't review over any other dish because that's what I order. read more
